| 1 Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. | 1 യഹോവ അബ്രാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും ചാർച്ചക്കാരെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തെയും വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ കാണിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തെക്കു പോക. | 1 यहोवा ने अब्राम से कहा, अपके देश, और अपक्की जन्मभूमि, और अपके पिता के घर को छोड़कर उस देश में चला जा जो मैं तुझे दिखाऊंगा। |
| 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. | 2 ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും; നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നിന്റെ പേർ വലുതാക്കും; നീ ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹമായിരിക്കും. | 2 और मैं तुझ से एक बड़ी जाति बनाऊंगा, और तुझे आशीष दूंगा, और तेरा नाम बड़ा करूंगा, और तू आशीष का मूल होगा। |
| 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." | 3 നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും. നിന്നെ ശപിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ ശപിക്കും; നിന്നിൽ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല വംശങ്ങളും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും. | 3 और जो तुझे आशीर्वाद दें, उन्हें मैं आशीष दूंगा; और जो तुझे कोसे, उसे मैं शाप दूंगा; और भूमण्डल के सारे कुल तेरे द्वारा आशीष पाएंगे। |
| 4 So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. | 4 യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അബ്രാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ലോത്തും അവനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; ഹാരാനിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അബ്രാമിന്നു എഴുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. | 4 यहोवा के इस वचन के अनुसार अब्राम चला; और लूत भी उसके संग चला; और जब अब्राम हारान देश से निकला उस समय वह पचहत्तर वर्ष का या। |
| 5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan, | 5 അബ്രാം തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെയും സഹോദരന്റെ മകനായ ലോത്തിനെയും തങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സമ്പത്തുകളെയൊക്കെയും തങ്ങൾ ഹാരാനിൽ വെച്ചു സമ്പാദിച്ച ആളുകളെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു കനാൻദേശത്തേക്കു പോകുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാൻദേശത്തു എത്തി. | 5 सो अब्राम अपक्की पत्नी सारै, और अपके भतीजे लूत को, और जो धन उन्होंने इकट्ठा किया या, और जो प्राणी उन्होंने हारान में प्राप्त किए थे, सब को लेकर कनान देश में जाने को निकल चला; और वे कनान देश में आ भी गए। |
| 6 Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. | 6 അബ്രാം ശേഖേമെന്ന സ്ഥലംവരെയും ഏലോൻമോരെവരെയും ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. അന്നു കനാന്യൻ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തിരുന്നു. | 6 उस देश के बीच से जाते हुए अब्राम शकेम में, जहां मोरे का बांज वृझ है, पंहुचा; उस समय उस देश में कनानी लोग रहते थे। |
| 7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built there an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him. | 7 യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി: നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു ഞാൻ ഈ ദേശം കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. തനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ യഹോവെക്കു അവൻ അവിടെ ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു. | 7 तब यहोवा ने अब्राम को दर्शन देकर कहा, यह देश मैं तेरे वंश को दूंगा : और उस ने वहां यहोवा के लिथे जिस ने उसे दर्शन दिया या, एक वेदी बनाई। |
| 8 From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon the name of the LORD. | 8 അവൻ അവിടെനിന്നു ബേഥേലിന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള മലെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ബേഥേൽ പടിഞ്ഞാറും ഹായി കിഴക്കുമായി കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു; അവിടെ അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ആരാധിച്ചു. | 8 फिर वहां से कूच करके, वह उस पहाड़ पर आया, जो बेतेल के पूर्व की ओर है; और अपना तम्बू उस स्यान में खड़ा किया जिसकी पच्छिम की ओर तो बेतेल, और पूर्व की ओर ऐ है; और वहां भी उस ने यहोवा के लिथे एक वेदी बनाई : और यहोवा से प्रार्यना की |
| 9 And Abram journeyed on, still going toward the Negeb. | 9 അബ്രാം പിന്നെയും തെക്കോട്ടു യാത്രചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. | 9 और अब्राम कूच करके दक्खिन देश की ओर चला गया।। |
| 10 Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land. | 10 ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായി; ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം കഠിനമായി തീർന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അബ്രാം മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെന്നുപാർപ്പാൻ അവിടേക്കു പോയി. | 10 और उस देश में अकाल पड़ा : और अब्राम मिस्र देश को चला गया कि वहां परदेशी होकर रहे -- क्योंकि देश में भयंकर अकाल पड़ा या। |

| 12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, 'This is his wife.' Then they will kill me, but they will let you live. | 12 മിസ്രയീമ്യർ നിന്നെ കാണുമ്പോൾ ഇവൾ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നെകൊല്ലുകയും നിന്നെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും. | 12 इस कारण जब मिस्री तुझे देखेंगे, तब कहेंगे, यह उसकी पत्नी है, सो वे मुझ को तो मार डालेंगे, पर तुझ को जीती रख लेंगे। |
| 13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake." | 13 നീ എന്റെ സഹോദരിയെന്നു പറയേണം; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം എനിക്കു നന്മവരികയും ഞാൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും. | 13 सो यह कहना, कि मैं उसकी बहिन हूं; जिस से तेरे कारण मेरा कल्याण हो और मेरा प्राण तेरे कारण बचे। |
| 14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful. | 14 അങ്ങനെ അബ്രാം മിസ്രയീമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ സ്ത്രീ അതി സുന്ദരി എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ കണ്ടു. | 14 फिर ऐसा हुआ कि जब अब्राम मिस्र में आया, तब मिस्रियोंने उसकी पत्नी को देखा कि यह अति सुन्दर है। |
| 15 And when the princes of Pharaoh saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. | 15 ഫറവോന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും അവളെ കണ്ടു, ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവളെ പ്രശംസിച്ചു; സ്ത്രീ ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയിൽ പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു. | 15 और फिरौन के हाकिमोंने उसको देखकर फिरौन के साम्हने उसकी प्रशंसा की : सो वह स्त्री फिरौन के घर में रखी गई। |
| 16 And for her sake he dealt well with Abram; and he had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels. | 16 അവളുടെ നിമിത്തം അവൻ അബ്രാമിന്നു നന്മ ചെയ്തു; അവന്നു ആടുമാടുകളും ആൺകഴുതകളും ദാസന്മാരും ദാസിമാരും പെൺകഴുതകളും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. | 16 और उस ने उसके कारण अब्राम की भलाई की; सो उसको भेड़-बकरी, गाय-बैल, दास-दासियां, गदहे-गदहियां, और ऊंट मिले। |
| 17 But the LORD afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife. | 17 അബ്രാമിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിനിമിത്തം യഹോവ ഫറവോനെയും അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും അത്യന്തം ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു. | 17 तब यहोवा ने फिरौन और उसके घराने पर, अब्राम की पत्नी सारै के कारण बड़ी बड़ी विपत्तियां डालीं। |
| 18 So Pharaoh called Abram and said, "What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? | 18 അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ അബ്രാമിനെ വിളിച്ചു: നീ എന്നോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവൾ നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയെന്നു എന്നെ അറിയിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു? | 18 सो फिरौन ने अब्राम को बुलवाकर कहा, तू ने मुझ से क्या किया है ? तू ने मुझे क्योंनहीं बताया कि वह तेरी पत्नी है ? |
| 19 Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go." | 19 അവൾ എന്റെ സഹോദരിയെന്നു എന്തിന്നു പറഞ്ഞു? ഞാൻ അവളെ ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു എടുപ്പാൻ സംഗതി വന്നുപോയല്ലോ; ഇപ്പോൾ ഇതാ, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ; അവളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 19 तू ने क्योंकहा, कि वह तेरी बहिन है ? मैं ने उसे अपक्की ही पत्नी बनाने के लिथे लिया; परन्तु अब अपक्की पत्नी को लेकर यहां से चला जा। |
| 20 And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had. | 20 ഫറവോൻ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്റെ ആളുകളോടു കല്പിച്ചു; അവർ അവനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അവന്നുള്ള സകലവുമായി പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. | 20 और फिरौन ने अपके आदमियोंको उसके विषय में आज्ञा दी और उन्होंने उसको और उसकी पत्नी को, सब सम्पत्ति समेत जो उसका या, विदा कर दिया।। |
