| 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. | 1 ഇങ്ങനെ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും അവയിലുള്ള ചരാചരങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തികഞ്ഞു. | 1 योंआकाश और पृय्वी और उनकी सारी सेना का बनाना समाप्त हो गया। |
| 2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. | 2 താൻ ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തി ഒക്കെയും ദൈവം തീർത്തശേഷം താൻ ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിൽനിന്നും ഏഴാം ദിവസം നിവൃത്തനായി | 2 और परमेश्वर ने अपना काम जिसे वह करता या सातवें दिन समाप्त किया। और उस ने अपके किए हुए सारे काम से सातवें दिन विश्रम किया। |
| 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. | 3 താൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുണ്ടാക്കിയ സകല പ്രവൃത്തിയിൽനിന്നും അന്നു നിവൃത്തനായതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം ഏഴാം ദിവസത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. | 3 और परमेश्वर ने सातवें दिन को आशीष दी और पवित्र ठहराया; क्योंकि उस में उस ने अपक्की सृष्टि की रचना के सारे काम से विश्रम लिया। |
| 4 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. | 4 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഭൂമിയും ആകാശവും സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നാളിൽ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതിന്റെ ഉല്പത്തിവിവരം: വയലിലെ ചെടി ഒന്നും അതുവരെ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; വയലിലെ സസ്യം ഒന്നും മുളെച്ചിരുന്നതുമില്ല. | 4 आकाश और पृय्वी की उत्पत्ति का वृत्तान्त यह है कि जब वे उत्पन्न हुए अर्यात् जिस दिन यहोवा परमेश्वर ने पृय्वी और आकाश को बनाया: |
| 5 When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up--for the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, | 5 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഭൂമിയിൽ മഴ പെയ്യിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല; നിലത്തു വേല ചെയ്‍വാൻ മനുഷ്യനും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. | 5 तब मैदान का कोई पौधा भूमि पर न या, और न मैदान का कोई छोटा पेड़ उगा या, क्योंकि यहोवा परमेश्वर ने पृय्वी पर जल नहीं बरसाया या, और भूमि पर खेती करने के लिथे मनुष्य भी नहीं या; |
| 6 and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground-- | 6 ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു മഞ്ഞു പൊങ്ങി, നിലം ഒക്കെയും നനെച്ചുവന്നു. | 6 तौभी कुहरा पृय्वी से उठता या जिस से सारी भूमि सिंच जाती यी |
| 7 then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. | 7 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം നിലത്തെ പൊടികൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യനെ നിർമ്മിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്റെ മൂക്കിൽ ജീവശ്വാസം ഊതി, മനുഷ്യൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദേഹിയായി തീർന്നു. | 7 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को भूमि की मिट्टी से रचा और उसके नयनो में जीवन का श्वास फूंक दिया; और आदम जीवता प्राणी बन गया। |
| 8 And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. | 8 അനന്തരം യഹോവയായ ദൈവം കിഴക്കു ഏദെനിൽ ഒരു തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി, താൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ച മനുഷ്യനെ അവിടെ ആക്കി. | 8 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने पूर्व की ओर अदन देश में एक बाटिका लगाई; और वहां आदम को जिसे उस ने रचा या, रख दिया। |
| 9 And out of the ground the LORD God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. | 9 കാണ്മാൻ ഭംഗിയുള്ളതും തിന്മാൻ നല്ല ഫലമുള്ളതുമായ ഓരോ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ജീവവൃക്ഷവും നന്മതിന്മകളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവിന്റെ വൃക്ഷവും യഹോവയായ ദൈവം നിലത്തുനിന്നു മുളെപ്പിച്ചു. | 9 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने भूमि से सब भांति के वृझ, जो देखने में मनोहर और जिनके फल खाने में अच्छे हैं उगाए, और बाटिका के बीच में जीवन के वृझ को और भले या बुरे के ज्ञान के वृझ को भी लगाया। |
| 10 A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. | 10 തോട്ടം നനെപ്പാൻ ഒരു നദി ഏദെനിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അതു അവിടെനിന്നു നാലു ശാഖയായി പിരിഞ്ഞു. | 10 और उस बाटिका को सींचने के लिथे एक महानदी अदन से निकली और वहां से आगे बहकर चार धारा में हो गई। |
| 11 The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. | 11 ഒന്നാമത്തേതിന്നു പീശോൻ എന്നു പേർ; അതു ഹവീലാദേശമൊക്കെയും ചുറ്റുന്നു; അവിടെ പൊന്നുണ്ടു. | 11 पहिली धारा का नाम पीशोन् है, यह वही है जो हवीला नाम के सारे देश को जहां सोना मिलता है घेरे हुए है। |
| 12 And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there. | 12 ആ ദേശത്തിലെ പൊന്നു മേത്തരമാകുന്നു; അവിടെ ഗുല്ഗുലുവും ഗോമേദകവും ഉണ്ടു. | 12 उस देश का सोना चोखा होता है, वहां मोती और सुलैमानी पत्यर भी मिलते हैं। |
| 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush. | 13 രണ്ടാം നദിക്കു ഗീഹോൻ എന്നു പേർ; അതു ക്രുശ്‌ദേശമൊക്കെയും ചുറ്റുന്നു. | 13 और दूसरी नदी का नाम गीहोन् है, यह वही है जो कूश के सारे देश को घेरे हुए है। |
| 14 And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. | 14 മൂന്നാം നദിക്കു ഹിദ്ദേക്കെൽ എന്നു പേർ; അതു അശ്ശൂരിന്നു കിഴക്കോട്ടു ഒഴുകുന്നു; നാലാം നദി ഫ്രാത്ത് ആകുന്നു. | 14 और तीसरी नदी का नाम हिद्देकेल् है, यह वही है जो अश्शूर् के पूर्व की ओर बहती है। और चौयी नदी का नाम फरात है। |
| 15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. | 15 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി ഏദെൻ തോട്ടത്തിൽ വേല ചെയ്‍വാനും അതിനെ കാപ്പാനും അവിടെ ആക്കി. | 15 जब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को लेकर अदन की बाटिका में रख दिया, कि वह उस में काम करे और उसकी रझा करे, |
| 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, | 16 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: തോട്ടത്തിലെ സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെയും ഫലം നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ തിന്നാം. | 16 तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को यह आज्ञा दी, कि तू बाटिका के सब वृझोंका फल बिना खटके खा सकता है: |
| 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." | 17 എന്നാൽ നന്മതിന്മകളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവിന്റെ വൃക്ഷത്തിൻ ഫലം തിന്നരുതു; തിന്നുന്ന നാളിൽ നീ മരിക്കും. | 17 पर भले या बुरे के ज्ञान का जो वृझ है, उसका फल तू कभी न खाना : क्योंकि जिस दिन तू उसका फल खाए उसी दिन अवश्य मर जाएगा।। |
| 18 Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." | 18 അനന്തരം യഹോവയായ ദൈവം: മനുഷ്യൻ ഏകനായിരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല; ഞാൻ അവന്നു തക്കതായൊരു തുണ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. | 18 फिर यहोवा परमेश्वर ने कहा, आदम का अकेला रहना अच्छा नहीं; मै उसके लिथे एक ऐसा सहाथक बनाऊंगा जो उस से मेल खाए। |
| 19 So out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. | 19 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല മൃഗങ്ങളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകളെയും നിലത്തു നിന്നു നിർമ്മിച്ചിട്ടു മനുഷ്യൻ അവെക്കു എന്തു പേരിടുമെന്നു കാണ്മാൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വരുത്തി; സകല ജീവജന്തുക്കൾക്കും മനുഷ്യൻ ഇട്ടതു അവെക്കു പേരായി; | 19 और यहोवा परमेश्वर भूमि में से सब जाति के बनैले पशुओं, और आकाश के सब भँाति के पझियोंको रचकर आदम के पास ले आया कि देखे, कि वह उनका क्या क्या नाम रखता है; और जिस जिस जीवित प्राणी का जो जो नाम आदम ने रखा वही उसका नाम हो गया। |
| 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. | 20 മനുഷ്യൻ എല്ലാ കന്നുകാലികൾക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകൾക്കും എല്ലാ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും പേരിട്ടു; എങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യന്നു തക്കതായൊരു തുണ കണ്ടുകിട്ടിയില്ല. | 20 सो आदम ने सब जाति के घरेलू पशुओं, और आकाश के पझियों, और सब जाति के बनैले पशुओं के नाम रखे; परन्तु आदम के लिथे कोई ऐसा सहाथक न मिला जो उस से मेल खा सके। |
| 21 So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. | 21 ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒരു ഗാഢനിദ്ര വരുത്തി; അവൻ ഉറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ വാരിയെല്ലുകളിൽ ഒന്നു എടുത്തു അതിന്നു പകരം മാംസം പിടിപ്പിച്ചു. | 21 तब यहोवा परमेश्वर ने आदम को भारी नीन्द में डाल दिया, और जब वह सो गया तब उस ने उसकी एक पसुली निकालकर उसकी सन्ती मांस भर दिया। |
| 22 And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. | 22 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനിൽനിന്നു എടുത്ത വാരിയെല്ലിനെ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയാക്കി, അവളെ മനുഷ്യന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. | 22 और यहोवा परमेश्वर ने उस पसुली को जो उस ने आदम में से निकाली यी, स्त्री बना दिया; और उसको आदम के पास ले आया। |
| 23 Then the man said, "This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." | 23 അപ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യൻ; ഇതു ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ അസ്ഥിയിൽ നിന്നു അസ്ഥിയും എന്റെ മാംസത്തിൽനിന്നു മാംസവും ആകുന്നു. ഇവളെ നരനിൽനിന്നു എടുത്തിരിക്കയാൽ ഇവൾക്കു നാരി എന്നു പോരാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 23 और आदम ने कहा अब यह मेरी हड्डियोंमें की हड्डी और मेरे मांस में का मांस है : सो इसका नाम नारी होगा, क्योंकि यह नर में से निकाली गई है। |
| 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. | 24 അതുകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷൻ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടുപിരിഞ്ഞു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; അവർ ഏക ദേഹമായി തീരും. | 24 इस कारण पुरूष अपके माता पिता को छोड़कर अपक्की पत्नी से मिला रहेगा और वे एक तन बनें रहेंगे। |
| 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. | 25 മനുഷ്യനും ഭാര്യയും ഇരുവരും നഗ്നരായിരുന്നു; അവർക്കു നാണം തോന്നിയില്ലതാനും. | 25 और आदम और उसकी पत्नी दोनोंनंगे थे, पर लजाते न थे।। |
