| 1 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, "I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD." | 1 അനന്തരം മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഹവ്വയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവൾ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു കയീനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു: യഹോവയാൽ എനിക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷപ്രജ ലഭിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 1 जब आदम अपक्की पत्नी हव्वा के पास गया तब उस ने गर्भवती होकर कैन को जन्म दिया और कहा, मै ने यहोवा की सहाथता से एक पुरूष पाया है। |
| 2 And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. | 2 പിന്നെ അവൾ അവന്റെ അനുജനായ ഹാബെലിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. ഹാബെൽ ആട്ടിടയനും കയീൻ കൃഷിക്കാരനും ആയിത്തീർന്നു. | 2 फिर वह उसके भाई हाबिल को भी जन्मी, और हाबिल तो भेड़-बकरियोंका चरवाहा बन गया, परन्तु कैन भूमि की खेती करने वाला किसान बना। |
| 3 In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, | 3 കുറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു കയീൻ നിലത്തെ അനുഭവത്തിൽനിന്നു യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു വഴിപാടു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. | 3 कुछ दिनोंके पश्चात् कैन यहोवा के पास भूमि की उपज में से कुछ भेंट ले आया। |
| 4 and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, | 4 ഹാബെലും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളിൽനിന്നു, അവയുടെ മേദസ്സിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ, ഒരു വഴിപാടു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. യഹോവ ഹാബെലിലും അവന്റെ വഴിപാടിലും പ്രസാദിച്ചു. | 4 और हाबिल भी अपक्की भेड़-बकरियोंके कई एक पहिलौठे बच्चे भेंट चढ़ाने ले आया और उनकी चर्बी भेंट चढ़ाई; तब यहोवा ने हाबिल और उसकी भेंट को तो ग्रहण किया, |
| 5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. | 5 കയീനിലും അവന്റെ വഴിപാടിലും പ്രസാദിച്ചില്ല. കയീന്നു ഏറ്റവും കോപമുണ്ടായി, അവന്റെ മുഖം വാടി. | 5 परन्तु कैन और उसकी भेंट को उस ने ग्रहण न किया। तब कैन अति क्रोधित हुआ, और उसके मुंह पर उदासी छा गई। |
| 6 The LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? | 6 എന്നാറെ യഹോവ കയീനോടു: നീ കോപിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? നിന്റെ മുഖം വാടുന്നതും എന്തു? | 6 तब यहोवा ने कैन से कहा, तू क्योंक्रोधित हुआ ? और तेरे मुंह पर उदासी क्योंछा गई है ? |
| 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it." | 7 നീ നന്മചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ പ്രസാദമുണ്ടാകയില്ലയോ? നീ നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലോ പാപം വാതിൽക്കൽ കിടക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം നിങ്കലേക്കു ആകുന്നു; നീയോ അതിനെ കീഴടക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. | 7 यदि तू भला करे, तो क्या तेरी भेंट ग्रहण न की जाएगी ? और यदि तू भला न करे, तो पाप द्वार पर छिपा रहता है, और उसकी लालसा तेरी और होगी, और तू उस पर प्रभुता करेगा। |
| 8 Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. | 8 എന്നാറെ കയീൻ തന്റെ അനുജനായ ഹാബെലിനോടു: (നാം വയലിലേക്കു പോക എന്നു) പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ വയലിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ കയീൻ തന്റെ അനുജനായ ഹാബെലിനോടു കയർത്തു അവനെ കൊന്നു. | 8 तब कैन ने अपके भाई हाबिल से कुछ कहा : और जब वे मैदान में थे, तब कैन ने अपके भाई हाबिल पर चढ़कर उसे घात किया। |
| 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know; am I my brother's keeper?" | 9 പിന്നെ യഹോവ കയീനോടു: നിന്റെ അനുജനായ ഹാബെൽ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ എന്റെ അനുജന്റെ കാവൽക്കാരനോ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. | 9 तब यहोवा ने कैन से पूछा, तेरा भाई हाबिल कहां है ? उस ने कहा मालूम नहीं : क्या मै अपके भाई का रखवाला हूं ? |
| 10 And the LORD said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. | 10 അതിന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു. നീ എന്തു ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ അനുജന്റെ രക്തത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു. | 10 उस ने कहा, तू ने क्या किया है ? तेरे भाई का लोहू भूमि में से मेरी ओर चिल्लाकर मेरी दोहाई दे रहा है ! |
| 11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. | 11 ഇപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ അനുജന്റെ രക്തം നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു ഏറ്റുകൊൾവാൻ വായിതുറന്ന ദേശം നീ വിട്ടു ശാപഗ്രസ്തനായി പോകേണം. | 11 इसलिथे अब भूमि जिस ने तेरे भाई का लोहू तेरे हाथ से पीने के लिथे अपना मुंह खोला है, उसकी ओर से तू शापित है। |
| 12 When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth." | 12 നീ കൃഷി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ നിലം ഇനിമേലാൽ തന്റെ വീര്യം നിനക്കു തരികയില്ല; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉഴന്നലയുന്നവൻ ആകും. | 12 चाहे तू भूमि पर खेती करे, तौभी उसकी पूरी उपज फिर तुझे न मिलेगी, और तू पृय्वी पर बहेतू और भगोड़ा होगा। |
| 13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is greater than I can bear. | 13 കയീൻ യഹോവയോടു: എന്റെ കുറ്റം പൊറുപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ വലിയതാകുന്നു. | 13 तब कैन ने यहोवा से कहा, मेरा दण्ड सहने से बाहर है। |
| 14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." | 14 ഇതാ, നീ ഇന്നു എന്നെ ആട്ടിക്കളയുന്നു; ഞാൻ തിരുസന്നിധിവിട്ടു ഒളിച്ചു ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉഴന്നലയുന്നവൻ ആകും; ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെ കണ്ടാൽ, എന്നെ കൊല്ലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 14 देख, तू ने आज के दिन मुझे भूमि पर से निकाला है और मै तेरी दृष्टि की आड़ मे रहूंगा और पृय्वी पर बहेतू और भगोड़ा रहूंगा; और जो कोई मुझे पाएगा, मुझे घात करेगा। |
| 15 Then the LORD said to him, "Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. | 15 യഹോവ അവനോടു: അതുകൊണ്ടു ആരെങ്കിലും കയീനെ കൊന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഏഴിരട്ടി പകരം കിട്ടും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; കയീനെ കാണുന്നവർ ആരും കൊല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ അവന്നു ഒരു അടയാളം വെച്ചു. | 15 इस कारण यहोवा ने उस से कहा, जो कोई कैन को घात करेगा उस से सात गुणा पलटा लिया जाएगा। और यहोवा ने कैन के लिथे एक चिन्ह ठहराया ऐसा ने हो कि कोई उसे पाकर मार डाले।। |
| 16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the LORD and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. | 16 അങ്ങനെ കയീൻ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഏദെന്നു കിഴക്കു നോദ് ദേശത്തു ചെന്നു പാർത്തു. | 16 तब कैन यहोवा के सम्मुख से निकल गया, और नोद् नाम देश में, जो अदन के पूर्व की ओर है, रहने लगा। |
| 17 Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. | 17 കയീൻ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവൾ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു ഹാനോക്കിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. അവൻ ഒരു പട്ടണം പണിതു, ഹാനോക്ക് എന്നു തന്റെ മകന്റെ പേരിട്ടു. | 17 जब कैन अपक्की पत्नी के पास गया जब वह गर्भवती हुई और हनोक को जन्मी, फिर कैन ने एक नगर बसाया और उस नगर का नाम अपके पुत्र के नाम पर हनोक रखा। |
| 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad fathered Mehujael, and Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech. | 18 ഹാനോക്കിന്നു ഈരാദ് ജനിച്ചു; ഈരാദ് മെഹൂയയേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മെഹൂയയേൽ മെഥൂശയേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മെഥൂശയേൽ ലാമെക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. | 18 और हनोक से ईराद उत्पन्न हुआ, और ईराद ने महूयाएल को जन्म दिया, और महूयाएल ने मतूशाएल को, और मतूशाएल ने लेमेक को जन्म दिया। |
| 19 And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. | 19 ലാമെക്ക് രണ്ടു ഭാര്യമാരെ എടുത്തു; ഒരുത്തിക്കു ആദാ എന്നും മറ്റവൾക്കു സില്ലാ എന്നും പേർ. | 19 और लेमेक ने दो स्त्रियां ब्याह ली : जिन में से एक का नाम आदा, और दूसरी को सिल्ला है। |
| 20 Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. | 20 ആദാ യാബാലിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവൻ കൂടാരവാസികൾക്കും പശുപാലകന്മാർക്കും പിതാവായ്തീർന്നു. | 20 और आदा ने याबाल को जन्म दिया। वह तम्बुओं में रहना और जानवरोंका पालन इन दोनो रीतियोंका उत्पादक हुआ। |
| 21 His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. | 21 അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു യൂബാൽ എന്നു പേർ. ഇവൻ കിന്നരവും വേണുവും പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും പിതാവായ്തീർന്നു. | 21 और उसके भाई का नाम यूबाल है : वह वीणा और बांसुरी आदि बाजोंके बजाने की सारी रीति का उत्पादक हुआ। |
| 22 Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. | 22 സില്ലാ തൂബൽകയീനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവൻ ചെമ്പുകൊണ്ടും ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുമുള്ള ആയുധങ്ങളെ തീർക്കുന്നവനായ്തീർന്നു; തൂബൽകയീന്റെ പെങ്ങൾ നയമാ. | 22 और सिल्ला ने भी तूबल्कैन नाम एक पुत्र को जन्म दिया : वह पीतल और लोहे के सब धारवाले हयियारोंका गढ़नेवाला हुआ: और तूबल्कैन की बहिन नामा यी। |
| 23 Lamech said to his wives: "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me. | 23 ലാമെക്ക് തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ആദയും സില്ലയും ആയുള്ളോരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; ലാമെക്കിൻ ഭാര്യമാരേ, എന്റെ വചനത്തിന്നു ചെവി തരുവിൻ! എന്റെ മുറിവിന്നു പകരം ഞാൻ ഒരു പുരുഷനെയും, എന്റെ പരിക്കിന്നു പകരം ഒരു യുവാവിനെയും കൊല്ലും. | 23 और लेमेक ने अपक्की पत्नियोंसे कहा, हे आदा और हे सिल्ला मेरी सुनो; हे लेमेक की पत्नियों, मेरी बात पर कान लगाओ: मैंने एक पुरूष को जो मेरे चोट लगाता या, अर्यात् एक जवान को जो मुझे घायल करता या, घात किया है। |
| 24 If Cain's revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech's is seventy-sevenfold." | 24 കയീന്നുവേണ്ടി ഏഴിരട്ടി പകരം ചെയ്യുമെങ്കിൽ, ലാമെക്കിന്നുവേണ്ടി എഴുപത്തേഴു ഇരട്ടി പകരം ചെയ്യും. | 24 जब कैन का पलटा सातगुणा लिया जाएगा। तो लेमेक का सतहरगुणा लिया जाएगा। |

| 26 To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the LORD. | 26 ശേത്തിന്നും ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചു; അവന്നു എനോശ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു. ആ കാലത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിലുള്ള ആരാധന തുടങ്ങി. | 26 और शेत के भी एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ; और उस ने उसका नाम एनोश रखा, उसी समय से लोग यहोवा से प्रार्यना करने लगे।। |
