| 4 But the king's word prevailed against Joab and the commanders of the army. So Joab and the commanders of the army went out from the presence of the king to number the people of Israel. | 4 എങ്കിലും യോവാബും പടനായകന്മാരും രാജാവിന്റെ കല്പന അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു. അങ്ങനെ യോവാബും പടനായകന്മാരും യിസ്രായേൽജനത്തെ എണ്ണുവാൻ രാജസന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു. | 4 तौभी राजा की आज्ञा योआब और सेनापतियोंपर प्रबल हुई। सो योआब और सेनापति राजा के सम्मुख से इस्राएली प्रजा की गिनती लेने को निकल गए। |

| 9 And Joab gave the sum of the numbering of the people to the king: in Israel there were 800,000 valiant men who drew the sword, and the men of Judah were 500,000. | 9 യോവാബ് ജനത്തെ എണ്ണിയതിന്റെ ആകത്തുക രാജാവിന്നു കൊടുത്തു: യിസ്രായേലിൽ ആയുധപാണികളായ യോദ്ധാക്കൾ എട്ടുലക്ഷവും യെഹൂദ്യർ അഞ്ചുലക്ഷവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. | 9 तब योआब ने प्रजा की गिनती का जोड़ राजा को सुनाया; और तलवार चलानेवाले योद्धा इस्राएल के तो आठ लाख, और यहूदा के पांच नाख निकले। |
| 10 But David's heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. | 11 And when David arose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, | 11 ദാവീദ് രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോൾ ദാവീദിന്റെ ദർശകനായ ഗാദ്പ്രവാചകന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: | 11 बिहान को जब दाऊद उठा, तब यहोवा का यह वचन गाद नाम नबी के पास जो दाऊद का दशीं या पहुंचा, |
| 12 "Go and say to David, 'Thus says the LORD, Three things I offer you. | 13 So Gad came to David and told him, and said to him, "Shall three years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days' pestilence in your land? | 14 Then David said to Gad, "I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man." | 14 ദാവീദ് ഗാദിനോടു: ഞാൻ വലിയ വിഷമത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു; നാം യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യിൽ തന്നേ വീഴുക; അവന്റെ കരുണ വലിയതല്ലോ; മനുഷ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഞാൻ വീഴരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 14 दाऊद ने गाद से कहा, मै बड़े संकट में हूँ; हम यहोवा के हाथ में पकें, क्योंकि उसकी दया बड़ी है; परन्तु मनुष्य के हाथ में मैं न पडूंगा। |
| 15 So the LORD sent a pestilence on Israel from the morning until the appointed time. And there died of the people from Dan to Beersheba 70,000 men. | 15 അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാവിലേ തുടങ്ങി നിശ്ചയിച്ച അവധിവരെ മഹാമാരി അയച്ചു; ദാൻ മുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബവരെ ജനത്തിൽ എഴുപതിനായിരം പേർ മരിച്ചുപോയി. | 15 तब यहोवा इस्राएलियोंमें बिहान से ले ठहराए हुए समय तक मरी फैलाए रहा; और दान से लेकर बेशॅबा तक रहनेवाली प्रजा में से सत्तर हज़ार पुरुष मर गए। |
| 16 And when the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people, "It is enough; now stay your hand." And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. | 16 എന്നാൽ ദൈവദൂതൻ യെരൂശലേമിനെ ബാധിപ്പാൻ അതിന്മേൽ കൈനീട്ടിയപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അനർത്ഥത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിച്ചു ജനത്തിൽ നാശം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദൂതനോടു: മതി, നിന്റെ കൈ പിൻവലിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അന്നേരം യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ, യെബൂസ്യൻ അരവ്നയുടെ മെതിക്കളത്തിന്നരികെ ആയിരുന്നു. | 16 परन्तु जब दूत ने यरूशलेम का नाश करने को उस पर अपना हाथ बढ़ाया, तब यहोवा वह विपत्ति डालकर शोकित हुआ, और प्रजा के नाश करनेवाले दूत से कहा, बस कर; अब अपना हाथ खींच। और यहोवा का दूत उस समय अरौना नाम एक यबूसी के खलिहान के पास या। |
| 17 Then David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, "Behold, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me and against my father's house." | 17 ജനത്തെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ദൂതനെ ദാവീദ് കണ്ടിട്ടു യഹോവയോടു: ഞാനല്ലോ പാപം ചെയ്തതു; ഞാനല്ലോ കുറ്റം ചെയ്തതു; ഈ ആടുകൾ എന്തു ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ കൈ എനിക്കും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. | 17 तो जब प्रजा का नाश करनेवाला दूत दाऊद को दिखाई पड़ा, तब उस ने यहोवा से कहा, देख, पाप तो मैं ही ने किया, और कुटिलता मैं ही ने की है; परन्तु इन भेड़ोंने क्या किया है? सो तेरा हाथ मेरे और मेरे पिता के घराने के विरुद्ध हो। |
| 18 And Gad came that day to David and said to him, "Go up, raise an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite." | 18 അന്നുതന്നേ ഗാദ് ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു: നീ ചെന്നു യെബൂസ്യനായ അരവ്നയുടെ കളത്തിൽ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 18 उसी दिन गाद ने दाऊद के पास आकर उस से कहा, जाकर अरौना यबूसी के खलिहान में यहोवा की एक वेदी बनवा। |
| 19 So David went up at Gad's word, as the LORD commanded. | 19 യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ഗാദ് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ദാവീദ് അവിടേക്കു പോയി. | 19 सो दाऊद यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार गाद का वह वचन मानकर वहां गया। |
| 20 And when Araunah looked down, he saw the king and his servants coming on toward him. And Araunah went out and paid homage to the king with his face to the ground. | 20 അരവ്നാ നോക്കി; രാജാവും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടാറെ അരവ്നാ പുറപ്പെട്ടുചെന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. | 20 जब अरौना ने दृष्टि कर दाऊद को कर्मचारियो समेत अपक्की ओर आते देखा, तब अरौना ने निकलकर भूमि पर मुह के बल गिर राजा को दणडवत् की। |
| 21 And Araunah said, "Why has my lord the king come to his servant?" David said, "To buy the threshing floor from you, in order to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be averted from the people." | 21 യജമാനനായ രാജാവു അടിയന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അരവ്നാ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ദാവീദ്: ബാധ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടുമാറുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ കളം നിന്നോടു വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങുവാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 21 और अरौना ने कहा, मेरा प्रभु राजा अपके दास के पास क्योंपधारा है? आऊद ने कहा, तुझ से यह खलिहान मोल लेने आया हूँ, कि यहोवा की एक बेदी बनवाऊं, इसलिथे कि यह व्याधि प्रजा पर से दूर की जाए। |
| 22 Then Araunah said to David, "Let my lord the king take and offer up what seems good to him. Here are the oxen for the burnt offering and the threshing sledges and the yokes of the oxen for the wood. | 22 അരവ്നാ ദാവീദിനോടു: യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്നു ബോധിച്ചതു എടുത്തു യാഗം കഴിച്ചാലും; ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നു കാളകളും വിറകിന്നു മെതിവണ്ടികളും കാളക്കോപ്പുകളും ഇതാ. | 22 अरौनर ने दाऊद से कहा, मेरा प्रभु राजा जो कुछ उसे अच्छा लगे सो लेकर चढ़ाए; देख, होमबलि के लिथे तो बैल हैं, और दांचने के हयियार, और बैलोंका सामान ईधन का काम देंगे। |
| 23 All this, O king, Araunah gives to the king." And Araunah said to the king, "The LORD your God accept you." | 23 രാജാവേ, ഇതൊക്കെയും അരവ്നാ രാജാവിന്നു തരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നും അരവ്നാ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. | 23 यह सब अरौना ने राजा को दे दिया। फिर अरौना ने राजा से कहा, तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ से प्रसन्न होए। |
| 24 But the king said to Araunah, "No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God that cost me nothing." So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. | 24 രാജാവു അരവ്നയോടു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല, ഞാൻ അതു നിന്നോടു വിലെക്കേ വാങ്ങുകയുള്ളു; എനിക്കു ഒന്നും ചെലവില്ലാതെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് കളത്തെയും കാളകളെയും അമ്പതു ശേക്കൽ വെള്ളിക്കു വാങ്ങി. | 24 राजा ने अरौना से कहा, ऐसा नहीं, मै थे वस्तुएं तुझ से अवश्य दाम देकर लूंगा; मैं अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा को सेंतमेंत के होमबलि नहीं चढ़ाने का। सो दाऊद ने खलिहान और बैलोंको चांदी के पचास शेकेल पें मोल लिया। |
| 25 And David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel. | 25 ദാവീദ് യഹോവെക്കു അവിടെ ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ദേശത്തിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടു; ബാധ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. | 25 और दाऊद ने वहां यहोवा की एक बेदी बनवाकर होमबलि और मेलबलि चढ़ाए। और यहोवा ने देश के निमित्त बिनती सुन ली, तब वह व्याधि इस्राएल पर से दूर हो गई। |
