| 2 from the nations concerning which the LORD had said to the people of Israel, "You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods." | 3 He had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. | 3 അവന്നു എഴുനൂറു കുലീനപത്നികളും മുന്നൂറു വെപ്പാട്ടികളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭാര്യമാർ അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ വശീകരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. | 3 और उसके सात सौ रानियां, और तीन सौ रखेलियां हो गई यीं और उसकी इन स्त्रियोंने उसका मन बहका दिया। |

| 9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice | 9 തനിക്കു രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകയും അന്യദേവന്മാരെ ചെന്നു സേവിക്കരുതെന്ന കാര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നോടു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വിട്ടു ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയം തിരിക്കയും | 9 तब यहोवा ने सुलैमान पर क्रोध किया, क्योंकि उसका मन इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा से फिर गया या जिस ने दो बार उसको दर्शन दिया या। |
| 10 and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods. But he did not keep what the LORD commanded. | 10 യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതു പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ അവനോടു കോപിച്ചു. | 10 और उस ने इसी बात के विषय में आज्ञा दी यी, कि पराथे देवताओं के पीछे न हो लेना, तौभी उस ने यहोवा की आज्ञा न मानी। |
| 11 Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, "Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. | 11 യഹോവ ശലോമോനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ നിയമവും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച കല്പനകളും നീ പ്രമാണിച്ചില്ല എന്നുള്ള സംഗതി നിന്റെ പേരിൽ ഇരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ രാജത്വം നിങ്കൽ നിന്നു നിശ്ചയമായി പറിച്ചു നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു കൊടുക്കും. | 11 और यहोवा ने सुलैमान से कहा, तुझ से जो ऐसा काम हुआ है, और मेरी बन्धाई हुई वाचा और दी हुई वीधि तू ने पूरी नहीं की, इस कारण मैं जाज्य को निश्चय तूफ से छीनकर तेरे एक कर्मचारी को दे दूंगा। |
| 12 Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. | 12 എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിൻ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ജീവകാലത്തു അതു ചെയ്കയില്ല; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ മകന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു അതിനെ പറിച്ചുകളയും. | 12 तौभी तेरे पिता दाऊद के कारण तेरे दिनो में तो ऐसा न करूंगा; परन्तु तेरे पुत्र के हाथ से राज्य छीन लूंगा। |
| 13 However, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen." | 13 എങ്കിലും രാജത്വം മുഴുവനും പറിച്ചുകളയാതെ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിൻ നിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെരൂശലേമിൻ നിമിത്തവും ഒരു ഗോത്രത്തെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മകന്നു കൊടുക്കും. | 13 फिर भी मैं पूर्ण राज्य तो न छीन लूंगा, परन्तु अपके दास दाऊद के कारण, और अपके चुने हुए यरूशलेम के कारण, मैं तेरे पुत्र के हाथ में एक गोत्र छोड़ दूंगा। |
| 14 And the LORD raised up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was of the royal house in Edom. | 14 യഹോവ എദോമ്യനായ ഹദദ് എന്ന ഒരു പ്രതിയോഗിയെ ശലോമോന്റെ നേരെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു. അവൻ എദോം രാജസന്തതിയിൽ ഉള്ളവൻ ആയിരുന്നു. | 14 सो यहोवा ने एदोमी हदद को जो एदोमी राजवंश का या, सुलैमान का शत्रु बना दिया। |

| 20 And the sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house. | 21 But when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers and that Joab the commander of the army was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, "Let me depart, that I may go to my own country." | 21 ദാവീദ് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നും സേനാധിപതിയായ യോവാബും മരിച്ചു എന്നും ഹദദ് മിസ്രയീമിൽ കേട്ടിട്ടു ഫറവോനോടു: ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദേശത്തേക്കു യാത്രയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ അയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 21 जब हदद ने मिस्र में रहते यह सुना, कि दाऊद अपके पुरखाओं के संग सो गया, और योआब सेनापति भी मर गया है, तब उस ने फ़िरौन से कहा, मुझे आज्ञा दे कि मैं अपके देश को जाऊं ! |
| 22 But Pharaoh said to him, "What have you lacked with me that you are now seeking to go to your own country?" And he said to him, "Only let me depart." | 22 ഫറവോൻ അവനോടു: നീ സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു പോകുവാൻ താല്പര്യപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിനക്കു എന്തു കുറവുള്ള എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഒന്നുമുണ്ടായിട്ടല്ല; എങ്കിലും എന്നെ ഒന്നയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 22 फ़िरौन ने उस से कहा, क्यों? मेरे यहां तुझे क्या घटी हुई कि तू अपके देश को जला जाना चाहता है? उस ने उत्तर दिया, कुछ नहीं हुई, तौभी मुझे अपश्य जाने दे। |

| 24 And he gathered men about him and became leader of a marauding band, after the killing by David. | 25 He was an adversary of Israel all the days of Solomon, doing harm as Hadad did. | 27 And this was the reason why he lifted up his hand against the king. | 28 The man Jeroboam was very able, and when Solomon saw that the young man was industrious he gave him charge over all the forced labor of the house of Joseph. | 28 എന്നാൽ യൊരോബെയാം ബഹു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷൻ ആയിരുന്നു; ഈ യൌവനക്കാരൻ പരിശ്രമശീലൻ എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു ശലോമോൻ യോസേഫുഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ കാര്യാദികളൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ വിചാരണയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു. | 28 यारोबाम बड़ा हाूरवीर या, और जब सुलैमान ने जवान को देखा, कि यह परिश्र्मी ह; तब उस ने उसको यूसुफ के घराने के सब काम पर मुखिया ठहराया। |
| 29 And at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now Ahijah had dressed himself in a new garment, and the two of them were alone in the open country. | 29 ആ കാലത്തു ഒരിക്കൽ യൊരോബെയാം യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു വരുമ്പോൾ ശിലോന്യനായ അഹിയാപ്രവാചകൻ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അവനെ കണ്ടു; അവൻ ഒരു പുതിയ അങ്കി ധരിച്ചിരുന്നു; രണ്ടുപേരും വയലിൽ തനിച്ചായിരുന്നു. | 29 उन्हीं दिनोंमें यारोबाम यरूशलेम से निकलकर जा रहा या, कि शीलोबासी अहिय्याह नबी, नई चद्दर ओढ़े हुए मार्ग पर उस से मिला; और केवल वे ही दोनोंमैदान में थे। |
| 30 Then Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and tore it into twelve pieces. | 30 അഹിയാവു താൻ ധരിച്ചിരുന്ന പുതിയ അങ്കി പിടിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഖണ്ഡമായി കീറി: | 30 अपैर अहिय्याह ने अपक्की उस नई चद्दर को ले लिया, और उसे फाड़कर बारह टुकड़े कर दिए। |
| 31 And he said to Jeroboam, "Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I am about to tear the kingdom from the hand of Solomon and will give you ten tribes | 31 യൊരോബെയാമിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: പത്തു ഖണ്ഡം നീ എടുത്തുകൊൾക; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതാ ഞാൻ രാജത്വം ശലോമോന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു പറിച്ചുകീറി, പത്തു ഗോത്രം നിനക്കു തരുന്നു. | 31 तब उस ने यारोबाम से कहा, दस टुकड़े ले ले; क्योंकि, इस्राएल का परमेश्वर यहोवा योंकहता है, कि सुन, मैं राज्य को सुलैमान के हाथ से छीन कर दस गोत्र तेरे हाथ में कर दूंगा। |
| 32 (but he shall have one tribe, for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel), | 32 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിൻ നിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെരൂശലേം നഗരം നിമിത്തവും ഒരു ഗോത്രം അവന്നു ഇരിക്കും. | 32 परन्तु मेरे दास दाऊद के कारण और यरूशलेम के कारण जो मैं ने इस्राएल के सब गोत्रोंमें से चुना है, उसका एक गोत्र बना रहेगा। |
| 33 because they have forsaken me and worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the Ammonites, and they have not walked in my ways, doing what is right in my sight and keeping my statutes and my rules, as David his father did. | 33 അവർ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, സീദോന്യദേവിയായ അസ്തോരെത്തിനെയും മോവാബ്യദേവനായ കെമോശിനെയും അമ്മോന്യദേവനായ മിൽക്കോമിനെയും നമസ്കരിക്കയും അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്നപോലെ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്‍വാനും എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിപ്പാനും അവർ എന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു കൊണ്ടു തന്നേ. | 33 इसका कारण यह है कि उन्होंने मुझे त्याग कर सीदोनियोंकी देवी अश्तोरेत और मोआबियोंके देवता कमोश, और अम्मोनियोंके देवता मिल्कोम को दणडवत की, और मेरे मागॉं पर नहीं चले : और जो मेरी दृष्टि में ठीक है, वह नहीं किया, और मेरी वेधियोंऔर नियमोंको नहीं माना जैसा कि उसके पिता दाऊद ने किया। |
| 34 Nevertheless, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him ruler all the days of his life, for the sake of David my servant whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes. | 34 എന്നാൽ രാജത്വം മുഴുവനും ഞാൻ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു എടുക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവനും എന്റെ കല്പനകളെയും ചട്ടങ്ങളെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചവനും ആയ എന്റെ ദാസൻ ദാവീദ് നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അവനെ അവന്റെ ജീവകാലത്തൊക്കെയും പ്രഭുവായി വെച്ചേക്കും. | 34 तौभी मैं उसके हाथ से पूर्ण राज्य न ले लूंगा, परन्तु मेरा चुना हुआ दास दाऊद जो मेरी आज्ञाएं और विधियां मानता रहा, उसके कारण मैं उसको जीवन भर प्रधान ठहराए रखूंगा। |
| 35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand and will give it to you, ten tribes. | 35 എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ മകന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ രാജത്വം എടുത്തു നിനക്കു തരും; പത്തു ഗോത്രങ്ങളെ തന്നേ. | 35 परन्तु उसके पुत्र के हाथ से मैं राज्य अर्यात् दस गोत्र लेकर तुझे दे दूंगा। |
| 36 Yet to his son I will give one tribe, that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I have chosen to put my name. | 36 എന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെരൂശലേംനഗരത്തിൽ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്നു എന്നേക്കും ഒരു ദീപം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മകന്നു ഒരു ഗോത്രത്തെ കൊടുക്കും. | 36 और उसके पुत्र को मैं एक गोत्र दूंगा, इसलिथे कि यरूश्सलेम अर्यात् उस नगर में जिसे अपना नाम रखने को मैं ने चुना है, मेरे दास दाऊद का दीपक मेरे साम्हने सदैव बना रहे। |
| 37 And I will take you, and you shall reign over all that your soul desires, and you shall be king over Israel. | 37 നീയോ നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും വാണു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. | 37 परन्तु तुझे मैं ठहरा लूंगा, और तू अपक्की इच्छा भर इस्राएल पर राज्य करेगा। |
| 38 And if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do what is right in my eyes by keeping my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, I will be with you and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you. | 38 ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ കേട്ടു എന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദ് ചെയ്തതു പോലെ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; ഞാൻ ദാവീദിന്നു പണിതതുപോലെ നിനക്കു സ്ഥിരമായോരു ഗൃഹം പണിതു യിസ്രായേലിനെ നിനക്കു തരും. | 38 और यदि तू मेरे दास दाऊद की नाई मेरी सब आज्ञाएं, और मेरे मागॉं पर चले, और जो काम मेरी दृष्टि में ठीक है, वही करे, और मेरी विधियां और आााएं मानता रहे, तो मैं तेरे संग रहूंगा, और जिस तनह मैं ने दाऊद का घराना बनाए रखा है, वैसे ही तेरा भी घराना बनाए रखूंगा, और तेरे हाथ इस्राएल को दूंगा। |
| 39 And I will afflict the offspring of David because of this, but not forever.'" | 39 ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയെയോ ഞാൻ ഇതു നിമിത്തം താഴ്ത്തും; സദാകാലത്തേക്കല്ലതാനും. | 39 इस पाप के कारण मैं दाऊद के वंश को दु:ख दूंगा, तौभी सदा तक नहीं। |
| 40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. But Jeroboam arose and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon. | 40 അതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോൻ യൊരോബെയാമിനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ യൊരോബെയാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു മിസ്രയീമിൽ ശീശക്ക് എന്ന മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോയി; ശലോമോന്റെ മരണംവരെ അവൻ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. | 40 और सुलैमान ने यारोबाम को मार डालना चाहा, परन्तु यारोबाम मिस्र के राजा शीशक के पास भाग गया, और सुलैमान के मरने नक वहीं रहा। |
| 41 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the Book of the Acts of Solomon? | 41 ശലോമോന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ ജ്ഞാനവും ശലോമോന്റെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 41 सुलैमान की और सब बातें और उसके सब काम और उसकी बुद्धिमानी का वर्णन, क्या सुलैमान के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखा है? |
| 42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years. | 42 ശലോമോൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും വാണകാലം നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു. | 42 सुलैमान को यरूशलेम में सब इस्राएल पर राज्य करते हुए चालीस वर्ष बीते। |
| 43 And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place. | 43 ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ രെഹബെയാം അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി. | 43 और सुलैमान अपके पुरखाओं के संग सोया, और उसको उसके पिता दाऊद के नगर में मिट्टी दी गई, और उसका पुत्र रहूबियाम उसके स्यान पर राजा हुआ। |
