| 8 And Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. | 13 He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. | 14 But the high places were not taken away. | 15 And he brought into the house of the LORD the sacred gifts of his father and his own sacred gifts, silver, and gold, and vessels. | 15 വെള്ളി, പൊന്നു, ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെ തന്റെ അപ്പൻ നിവേദിച്ചതും താൻ തന്നേ നിവേദിച്ചതുമായ വസ്തുക്കളെ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. | 15 और जो सोना चांदी और पात्र उसके पिता ने अर्पण किए थे, और जो उसने स्वयं अर्पण किए थे, उन सभोंको उस ने यहोवा के भवन में पहुंचा दिया। |

| 18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying, | 18 അപ്പോൾ ആസാ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും രാജധാനിയിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരവും എടുത്തു തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; ആസാരാജാവു ദമ്മേശെക്കിൽ പാർത്ത ഹെസ്യോന്റെ മകനായ തബ്രിമ്മോന്റെ മകൻ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് എന്ന അരാംരാജാവിന്നു അവയെ കൊടുത്തയച്ചു: | 18 तब आसा ने जितना सोना चांदी यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के भणडारोंमें रह गया या उस सब को निकाल अपके कर्मचारियोंके हाथ सोंपकर, दमिश्कवासी अराम के राजा बेन्हदद के पास जो हेज्योन का पोता और तब्रिम्मोन का पुत्र या भेजकर यह कहा, कि जैसा मेरे और तेरे पिता के मध्य में वैसा ही मेरे और तेरे मध्य भी वाचा बान्धी जाए : |
| 19 "Let there be a covenant between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you a present of silver and gold. | 20 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel and conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. | 20 ബെൻ-ഹദദ് ആസാരാജാവിന്റെ അപേക്ഷകേട്ടു, തന്റെ സേനാപതികളെ യിസ്രായേൽപട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു നേരെ അയച്ചു ഈയോനും ദാനും ആബേൽ-ബേത്ത്-മയഖയും കിന്നെരോത്ത് മുഴുവനും നഫ്താലിദേശമൊക്കെയും പിടിച്ചടക്കി. | 20 राजा आसा की यह बात मानकर बेन्हदद ने अपके दलोंके प्रधानोंसे इस्राएली नगरोंपर चढ़ाई करवाकर इय्योन, दान, आबेल्वेत्माका और समस्त किन्नेरेत को और नप्ताली के समस्त देश को पूरा जीत लिया। |
| 21 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and he lived in Tirzah. | 21 ബയെശാ അതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ രാമാ പണിയുന്നതു നിർത്തി തിർസ്സയിൽ തന്നേ പാർത്തു. | 21 यह सुनकर बाशा ने रामा को दृढ़ करना छोड़ दिया, और तिर्सा में रहने लगा। |

| 23 Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? | 25 Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years. | 25 യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ മകനായ നാദാബ് യിസ്രായേലിൽ രാജാവായി; അവൻ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാണു. | 25 यहूदा के राजा आसा के दूसरे वर्ष में यारोबाम का पुत्र नादाब इस्राएल पर राज्य करने लगा; और दो वर्ष तक राज्य करता रहा। |
| 26 He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin. | 26 അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; തന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വഴിയിലും അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യിച്ച പാപത്തിലും നടന്നു. | 26 उस ने वह काम किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा या और अपके पिता के मार्ग पर वही पाप करता हुआ चलता रहा जो उस ने इस्राएल से करवाया या। |
| 27 Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him. | 29 And as soon as he was king, he killed all the house of Jeroboam.
