| 1 Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word." | 1 എന്നാൽ ഗിലെയാദിലെ തിശ്ബിയിൽനിന്നുള്ള തിശ്ബ്യനായ ഏലീയാവു ആഹാബിനോടു: ഞാൻ സേവിച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാണ, ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞല്ലാതെ ഈയാണ്ടുകളിൽ മഞ്ഞും മഴയും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 1 और तिशबी एलिय्याह जो गिलाद के परद्देसियोंमें से या उस ने अहाब से कहा, इस्राएल का परमेश्वा यहोवा जिसके सम्मुख मैं उपस्य्ित रहता हूँ, उसके जीवन की शपय इन वषॉं में मेरे बिना कहे, न तो मेंह बरसेगा, और न ओस पकेगी। |
| 2 And the word of the LORD came to him, | 2 പിന്നെ അവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ: | 2 तब यहोवा का यह वचन उसके पास पहुंचा, |
| 3 "Depart from here and turn eastward and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. | 3 നീ ഇവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കിഴക്കോട്ടു ചെന്നു യോർദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള കെരീത്ത് തോട്ടിന്നരികെ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്ക. | 3 कि यहां से चलकर पूरब ओर मुख करके करीत नाम नाले पें जो यरदन के साम्हने है छिप जा। |
| 4 You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there." | 4 തോട്ടിൽനിന്നു നീ കുടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം; അവിടെ നിനക്കു ഭക്ഷണം തരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ കാക്കയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | 4 उसी नाले का पानी तू पिया कर, और मैं ने कौवोंको आज्ञा दी है कि वे तूफे वहां खिलाएं। |
| 5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan. | 5 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ പോയി യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു; അവൻ ചെന്നു യോർദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള കെരീത്ത് തോട്ടിന്നരികെ പാർത്തു. | 5 यहोवा का यह वचन मानकर वह यरदन के साम्हने के करीत नाम नाले में जाकर छिपा रहा। |
| 6 And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook. | 6 കാക്ക അവന്നു രാവിലെ അപ്പവും ഇറച്ചിയും വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അപ്പവും ഇറച്ചിയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; തോട്ടിൽനിന്നു അവൻ കുടിക്കും. | 6 और सबेरे और सांफ को कौवे उसके पास रोटी और मांस लाया करते थे और वह नाले का पानी पिया करता या। |
| 7 And after a while the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land. | 7 എന്നാൽ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യായ്കയാൽ കുറെ ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം തോടു വറ്റിപ്പോയി. | 7 कुछ दिनोंके बाद उस देश में वर्षा न होने के कारण नाला सूख गया। |
| 8 Then the word of the LORD came to him, | 8 അപ്പോൾ അവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ: | 8 तब यहोवा का यह वचन उसके पास पहुंचा, |
| 9 "Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you." | 9 നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സീദോനോടു ചേർന്ന സാരെഫാത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാർക്ക; നിന്നെ പുലർത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ഉള്ള ഒരു വിധവയോടു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | 9 कि चलकर सीदोन के सारपत नगर में जाकर वहीं रह : सुन, मैं ने वहां की एक विधवा को तेरे खिलाने की आज्ञा दी है। |
| 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, "Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink." | 10 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സാരെഫാത്തിന്നു പോയി. അവൻ പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവിടെ ഒരു വിധവ വിറകു പെറുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. അവൻ അവളെ വിളിച്ചു: എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ ഒരു പാത്രത്തിൽ കുറെ വെള്ളം കൊണ്ടുവരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 10 सो वह वहां से चल दिया, और सारपत को गया; नगर के फाटक के पास पहुंचकर उस ने क्या देखा कि, एक विधवा लकड़ी बीन रही है, उसको बुलाकर उस ने कहा, किसी पात्र में मेरे पीने को योड़ा पानी ले आ। |
| 11 And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, "Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand." | 11 അവൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ ഒരു കഷണം അപ്പവും കൂടെ നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോരേണമേ എന്നു അവൻ അവളോടു വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. | 11 जब वह लेने जा रही यी, तो उस ने उसे पुकार के कहा अपके हाथ में एक टुकड़ा रोटी भी मेरे पास लेती आ। |
| 12 And she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. | 13 And Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go and do as you have said. But first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make something for yourself and your son. | 13 ഏലീയാവു അവളോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ചെന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ചെയ്ക; എന്നാൽ ആദ്യം എനിക്കു ചെറിയോരു അട ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊണ്ടുവരിക; പിന്നെ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ മകന്നും വേണ്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾക. | 13 एलिय्याह ने उस से कहा, मत डर; जाकर अपक्की बात के अनुसार कर, परन्तु पहिले मेरे लिथे एक छोटी सी रोटी बनाकर मेरे पास ले आ, फिर इसके बाद अपके और अपके बेटे के लिथे बनाना। |
| 14 For thus says the LORD the God of Israel, 'The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.'" | 14 യഹോവ ഭൂമിയിൽ മഴ പെയ്യിക്കുന്ന നാൾവരെ കലത്തിലെ മാവു തീർന്നുപോകയില്ല; ഭരണിയിലെ എണ്ണ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകയും ഇല്ല എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 14 क्योंकि इस्राएल का परमेश्वर यहोवा योंकहता है, कि जब तक यहोवा भूमि पर मेंह न बरसाएगा तब तक न तो उस घड़े का मैदा चुकेगा, और न उस कुप्पी का तेल घटेगा। |
| 15 And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. | 15 അവൾ ചെന്നു ഏലീയാവു പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു; അങ്ങനെ അവളും അവനും അവളുടെ വീട്ടുകാരും ഏറിയനാൾ അഹോവൃത്തികഴിച്ചു. | 15 तब वह चक्की गई, और एलिय्याह के वचन के अनुसार किया, तब से वह और स्त्री और उसका घराना बहुत दिन तक खाते रहे। |
| 16 The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah. | 16 യഹോവ ഏലീയാവുമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചന പ്രകാരം കലത്തിലെ മാവു തീർന്നുപോയില്ല, ഭരണിയിലെ എണ്ണ കുറഞ്ഞുപോയതുമില്ല. | 16 यहोवा के उस वचन के अनुसार जो उस ने एलिय्याह के द्वारा कहा या, न तो उस घड़े का मैदा चुका, और न उस कुप्पी का तेल घट गया। |
| 17 After this the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, became ill. And his illness was so severe that there was no breath left in him. | 17 അനന്തരം വീട്ടുടമക്കാരത്തിയായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ മകൻ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു കിടപ്പിലായി; ദീനം കടുത്തിട്ടു അവനിൽ ശ്വാസം ഇല്ലാതെയായി. | 17 इन बातोंके बाद उस स्त्री का बेटा जो घर की स्वामिनी यी, रोगी हुआ, और उसका रोग यहां तक बढ़ा कि उसका सांस लेना बन्द हो गया। |
| 18 And she said to Elijah, "What have you against me, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!" | 18 അപ്പോൾ അവൾ ഏലീയാവോടു: അയ്യോ ദൈവപുരുഷനേ, എനിക്കും നിനക്കും തമ്മിൽ എന്തു? എന്റെ പാപം ഓർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ മകനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നും ആകുന്നുവോ നീ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 18 तब वह एलिय्याह से कहने लगी, हे परमेश्वर के जन ! मेरा तुझ से क्या काम? क्या तू इसलिथे मेरे यहां आया है कि मेरे बेटे की मृत्यु का कारण हो और मेरे पाप का स्मरण दिलाए ? |
| 19 And he said to her, "Give me your son." And he took him from her arms and carried him up into the upper chamber where he lodged, and laid him on his own bed. | 19 അവൻ അവളോടു: നിന്റെ മകനെ ഇങ്ങു തരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവനെ അവളുടെ മടിയിൽനിന്നെടുത്തു താൻ പാർത്തിരുന്ന മാളികമുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു തന്റെ കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ കിടത്തി. | 19 उस ने उस से कहा अपना बेटा मुझे दे; तब वह उसे उसकी गोद से लेकर उस अटारी पर ले गया जहां वह स्वयं रहता या, और अपक्की खाट पर लिटा दिया। |
| 20 And he cried to the LORD, "O LORD my God, have you brought calamity even upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by killing her son?" | 20 അവൻ യഹോവയോടു: എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന ഇവിടത്തെ വിധവയുടെ മകനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നീ അവൾക്കു അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തിയോ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. | 20 तब उस ने यहोवा को पुकारकर कहा, हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ! क्या तू इस विधवा का बेटा मार डालकर जिसके यहां मैं टिका हूं, इस पर भी विपत्ति ले आया है? |
| 21 Then he stretched himself upon the child three times and cried to the LORD, "O LORD my God, let this child's life come into him again." | 21 പിന്നെ അവൻ കുട്ടിയുടെ മേൽ മൂന്നുപ്രാവശ്യം കവിണ്ണുകിടന്നു: എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഈ കുട്ടിയുടെ പ്രാണൻ അവനിൽ മടങ്ങിവരുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു. | 21 तब वह बालक पर तीन बार पसर गया और यहोवा को पुकारकर कहा, हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ! इस बालक का प्राण इस में फिर डाल दे। |
| 22 And the LORD listened to the voice of Elijah. And the life of the child came into him again, and he revived. | 22 യഹോവ ഏലീയാവിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടു; കുട്ടിയുടെ പ്രാണൻ അവനിൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവൻ ജീവിച്ചു. | 22 एलिय्याह की यह बात यहोवा ने सुन ली, और बालक का प्राण उस में फिर आ गया और वह जी उठा। |
| 23 And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper chamber into the house and delivered him to his mother. And Elijah said, "See, your son lives." | 23 ഏലീയാവു കുട്ടിയെ എടുത്തു മാളികയിൽനിന്നു താഴെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു കൊടുത്തു: ഇതാ, നിന്റെ മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഏലീയാവു പറഞ്ഞു. | 23 तब एलिय्याह बालक को अटारी पर से नीचे घर में ले गया, और एलिय्याह ने यह कहकर उसकी माता के हाथ में सौंप दिया, कि देख तेरा बेटा जीवित है। |
| 24 And the woman said to Elijah, "Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth." | 24 സ്ത്രീ ഏലീയാവോടു: നീ ദൈവപുരുഷൻ എന്നും നിന്റെ നാവിന്മേലുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ വചനം സത്യമെന്നും ഞാൻ ഇതിനാൽ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 24 स्त्री ने एलिय्याह से कहा, अब मुझे निश्चय हो गया है कि तू परमेश्वर का जन है, और यहोवा का जो वचन तेरे मुंह से निकलता है, वह सच होता है। |
