| 2 "I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, | 2 ഞാൻ സകലഭൂവാസികളുടെയും വഴിയായി പോകുന്നു; നീ ധൈര്യംപൂണ്ടു പുരുഷനായിരിക്ക. | 2 कि मैं लोक की रीति पर कूच करनेवाला हूँ इसलिथे तू हियाब बांधकर पुरुषार्य दिखा। |
| 3 and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, | 3 നീ എന്തു ചെയ്താലും എവിടേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞാലും സകലത്തിലും നീ കൃതാർത്ഥനാകേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ മക്കൾ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണ മനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സത്യമായി നടന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിച്ചാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ ഒരു പുരുഷൻ നിനക്കു ഇല്ലാതെ പോകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം താൻ ഉറപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുമായി | 3 और जो कुछ तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे सौंपा है, उसकी रझा करके उसके मागॉं पर चला करना और जैसा मूसा की व्यवस्या में लिखा है, वैसा ही उसकी विधियोंतया आज्ञाओं, और नियमों, और चितौनियोंका पालन करते रहना; जिस से जो कुछ तू करे और जहां कहीं तू जाए, उस में तू सफल होए; |
| 4 that the LORD may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.' | 4 മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ അനുസരിച്ചുകൊൾക. | 4 और यहोवा अपना वह वचन पूरा करे जो उस ने मेरे विषय में कहा या, कि यदि तेरी सन्तान अपक्की चाल के विषय में ऐसे सावधान रहें, कि अपके सम्पूर्ण ह्रृदय और सम्पूर्ण प्राण से सच्चाई के साय नित मेरे सम्मुख चलते रहें तब तो इस्राएल की राजगद्दी पर विराजनेवाले की, तेरे कुल परिवार में घटी कभी न होगी। |
| 5 "Moreover, you also know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, how he dealt with the two commanders of the armies of Israel, Abner the son of Ner, and Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, avenging in time of peace for blood that had been shed in war, and putting the blood of war on the belt around his waist and on the sandals on his feet. | 5 വിശേഷിച്ചു സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബ് എന്നോടു ചെയ്തതു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രണ്ടു സേനാധിപന്മാരായ നേരിന്റെ മകൻ അബ്നേരിനോടും യേഥെരിന്റെ മകൻ അമാസയോടും ചെയ്തതു തന്നേ നീയും അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവൻ അവരെ കൊന്നു സമാധാനസമയത്തു യുദ്ധരക്തം ചൊരിഞ്ഞു യുദ്ധരക്തം തന്റെ അരക്കച്ചയിലും കാലിലെ ചെരിപ്പിലും ആക്കിയല്ലോ. | 5 फिर तू स्वयं जानता है, कि सरूयाह के पुत्र योआब ने मुझ से क्या क्या किया ! अर्यात् उस ने नेर के पुत्र अब्नेर, और थेतेर के पुत्र अमासा, इस्राएल के इन दो सेनापतियोंसे क्या क्या किया। उस ने उन दोनोंको घात किया, और मेल के सपय युद्ध का लोहू बहाकर उस से अपक्की कमर का कमरबन्द और अपके पावोंकी जूतियां भिगो दीं। |
| 6 Act therefore according to your wisdom, but do not let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace. | 6 ആകയാൽ നീ ജ്ഞാനം പ്രയോഗിച്ചു അവന്റെ നരയെ സമാധാനത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങുവാൻ സമ്മതിക്കരുതു. | 6 इसलिथे तू अपक्की बुद्धि से काम लेना और उस पक्के बालवाले को अधोलोक में शांति से उतरने न देना। |

| 8 And there is also with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite from Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse on the day when I went to Mahanaim. | 9 Now therefore do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man. You will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down with blood to Sheol." | 9 എന്നാൽ നീ അവനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടരുതു; നീ ബുദ്ധിമാനല്ലോ; അവനോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു നീ അറിയും; അവന്റെ നരയെ രക്തത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു അയക്കുക. | 9 परन्तु अब तू इसे निदॉष न ठहराना, तू तो बुद्धिमान पुरुष है; तुझे मालूम होगा कि उसके साय क्या करना चाहिथे, और उस पक्के बालवाले का लोहू बहाकर उसे अधोलोक में उतार देना। |
| 10 Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David. | 10 പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. | 10 तब दाऊद अपके पुरखाओं के संग सो गया और दाऊदमुर में उसे मिट्टी दी गई। |
| 11 And the time that David reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem. | 11 ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാണ കാലം നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം. അവൻ ഹെബ്രോനിൽ ഏഴു സംവത്സരവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ മുപ്പത്തുമൂന്നു സംവത്സരവും വാണു. | 11 दाऊद ने इस्राएल पर चालीस वर्ष राज्य किया, सात वर्ष तो उस ने हब्रोन में और तैंतीस वर्ष यरूशलेम में राज्य किया या। |
| 12 So Solomon sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established. | 12 ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു; അവന്റെ രാജത്വം ഏറ്റവും സ്ഥിരമായിവന്നു. | 12 तब सुलैमान अपके पिता दाऊद की गद्दी पर विराजमान हुआ और उसका राज्य बहुत दृढ़ हुआ। |
| 13 Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. And she said, "Do you come peacefully?" | 15 He said, "You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel fully expected me to reign. | 16 And now I have one request to make of you; do not refuse me." She said to him, "Speak." | 16 എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ഒരു കാര്യം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അതു തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ. നീ പറക എന്നു അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു. | 16 इसलिथे अब मैं तुझ से एक बात मांगता हूँ, मुझ से नाही न करना उस ने कहा, कहे जा। |

| 18 Bathsheba said, "Very well; I will speak for you to the king." | 18 ആകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി രാജാവിനോടു സംസാരിക്കാം എന്നു ബത്ത്-ശേബ പറഞ്ഞു. | 18 बतशेबा ने कहा, अच्छा, मैं तेरे लिथे राजा से कहूंगी। |
| 19 So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. And the king rose to meet her and bowed down to her. | 20 Then she said, "I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me." | 21 She said, "Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother as his wife." | 21 അപ്പോൾ അവൾ: ശൂനേംകാരത്തിയായ അബീശഗിനെ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അദോനീയാവിന്നു ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു കൊടുക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 21 उस ने कहा, वह शूनेमिन अबीशग तेरे भाई अदोनिय्याह को ब्याह दी जाए। |
| 22 King Solomon answered his mother, "And why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also, for he is my older brother, and on his side are Abiathar the priest and Joab the son of Zeruiah." | 22 ശലോമോൻരാജാവു തന്റെ അമ്മയോടു: ശൂനേംകാരത്തിയായ അബീശഗിനെ അദോനീയാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? രാജത്വത്തെയും അവന്നുവേണ്ടി ചോദിക്കരുതോ? അവൻ എന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠനല്ലോ; അവന്നും പുരോഹിതൻ അബ്യാഥാരിന്നും സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബിന്നും വേണ്ടി തന്നേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. | 22 राजा सुलैमान ने अपक्की माता को उत्तर दिया, तू अदोनिय्याह के लिथे शूनेमिन अबीशग ही को क्यो मांगती है? उसके लिथे राज्य भी मांग, क्योंकि वह तो मेरा बड़ा भाई है, और उसी के लिथे क्या ! एब्यातार याजक और सरूयाह के पुत्र योआब के लिथे भी मांग। |
| 23 Then King Solomon swore by the LORD, saying, "God do so to me and more also if this word does not cost Adonijah his life! | 23 അദോനീയാവു ഈ കാര്യം ചോദിച്ചതു തന്റെ ജീവനാശത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ലെങ്കിൽ ദൈവം തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും എന്നോടു ചെയ്യട്ടെ; | 23 और राजा सुलैमान ने यहोवा की शपय खाकर कहा, यदि अदोनिय्याह ने यह बात अपके प्राण पर खेलकर न कही हो तो परमेश्वर मुझ से वैसा ही क्या वरन उस से भी अधिक करे। |
| 24 Now therefore as the LORD lives, who has established me and placed me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day." | 24 ആകയാൽ എന്നെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തിയവനും എന്നെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തി തന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനപ്രകാരം എനിക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിതവനുമായ യഹോവയാണ, ഇന്നു തന്നേ അദോനീയാവു മരിക്കേണം എന്നു ശലോമോൻരാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു യഹോവനാമത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്തു. | 24 अब यहोवा जिस ने पुफे स्यिर किया, और मेरे पिता दाऊद की राजगद्दी पर विराजमान किया है और अपके वचन के अनुसार मेरे घर बसाया है, उसके जीपन की शपय आज ही अदोनिय्याह मार डाला जाएगा। |
| 25 So King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he struck him down, and he died. | 25 പിന്നെ ശലോമോൻരാജാവു യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവെ അയച്ചു; അവൻ അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | 25 और राजा सुलैमान ने यहोयादा के पुत्र बनायाह को भेज दिया और उस ने जाकर, उसको ऐसा मारा कि वह मर गया। |
| 26 And to Abiathar the priest the king said, "Go to Anathoth, to your estate, for you deserve death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you carried the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because you shared in all my father's affliction." | 26 അബ്യാഥാർപുരോഹിതനോടു രാജാവു: നീ അനാഥോത്തിലെ നിന്റെ ജന്മഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; നീ മരണയോഗ്യനാകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കർത്താവായ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ചുമന്നതുകൊണ്ടും എന്റെ അപ്പൻ അനുഭവിച്ച സകലകഷ്ടങ്ങളെയും നീ കൂടെ അനുഭവിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 26 और एब्यातार याजक से राजा ने कहा, अनातोत में अपक्की भूमि को जा; क्योंकि तू भी प्राणदणड के योग्य है। आज के दिन तो मैं तुझे न मार डालूंगा, क्योंकि तू मेरे पिता दाऊद के साम्हने प्रभु यहोवा का सन्दूक उठाया करता या; और उन सब दु:खोंमें जो मेरे पिता पर पके थे तू भी दु:खी या। |
| 27 So Solomon expelled Abiathar from being priest to the LORD, thus fulfilling the word of the LORD that he had spoken concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh. | 27 ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു ഏലിയുടെ കുടുംബത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനത്തിന്നു നിവൃത്തിവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോൻ അബ്യാഥാരിനെ യഹോവയുടെ പൌരോഹിത്യത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. | 27 और सुलैमान ने एब्यातार को यहोवा के याजक होने के पद से उतार दिया, इसलिथे कि जो वचन यहोवा ने एली के वंश के विषय में शीलो में कहा या, वह पूरा हो जाए। |
| 28 When the news came to Joab--for Joab had supported Adonijah although he had not supported Absalom--Joab fled to the tent of the LORD and caught hold of the horns of the altar. | 28 ഈ വർത്തമാനം യോവാബിന്നു എത്തിയപ്പോൾ--യോവാബ് അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ പക്ഷം ചേർന്നിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും അദോനീയാവിന്റെ പക്ഷം ചേർന്നിരുന്നു--അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളെ പിടിച്ചു. | 28 इसका समाचार योआब तक पहुंचा; योआब अबशालोम के पीछे तो नहीं हो लिया या, परन्तु अदोनिय्याह के पीछे हो लिया या। तब योआब यहोवा के तम्बू को भाग गया, और वेदी के सींगोंको पकड़ लिया। |

| 30 So Benaiah came to the tent of the LORD and said to him, "The king commands, 'Come out.'" But he said, "No, I will die here." | 33 So shall their blood come back on the head of Joab and on the head of his descendants forever. But for David and for his descendants and for his house and for his throne there shall be peace from the LORD forevermore." | 33 അവരുടെ രക്തം എന്നേക്കും യോവാബിന്റെയും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെയും തലമേൽ ഇരിക്കും; ദാവീദിന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും ഗൃഹത്തിന്നും സിംഹാസനത്തിന്നും യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു എന്നേക്കും സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകും. | 33 योंयोआब के सिर पर और उसकी सन्तान के सिर पर खून सदा तक रहेगा, परन्तु दाऊद और उसके वंश और उसके घराने और उसके राज्य पर यहोवा की ओर से शांति सदैव तक रहेगी। |
| 34 Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and struck him down and put him to death. | 35 The king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada over the army in place of Joab, and the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar. | 35 രാജാവു അവന്നു പകരം യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവെ സേനാധിപതിയാക്കി അബ്യാഥാരിന്നു പകരം സാദോക്പുരോഹിതനെയും നിയമിച്ചു. | 35 तब राजा ने उसके स्यान पर यहोयादा के पुत्र बनायाह को प्रधान सेनापति ठहराया; और एब्यातार के स्यान पर सादोक याजक को ठहराया। |
| 36 Then the king sent and summoned Shimei and said to him, "Build yourself a house in Jerusalem and dwell there, and do not go out from there to any place whatever. | 36 പിന്നെ രാജാവു ആളയച്ചു ശിമെയിയെ വരുത്തി അവനോടു: നീ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിനക്കു ഒരു വീടു പണിതു പാർത്തുകൊൾക; അവിടെനിന്നു പുറത്തെങ്ങും പോകരുതു. | 36 और राजा ने शिमी को बुलवा भेजा, और उस से कहा, तू यरूशलेम में अपना एक घर बनाकर वहीं रहना: और नगर से बाहर कहीं न जाना। |
| 37 For on the day you go out and cross the brook Kidron, know for certain that you shall die. | 38 And Shimei said to the king, "What you say is good; as my lord the king has said, so will your servant do." | 39 But it happened at the end of three years that two of Shimei's servants ran away to Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. | 40 Shimei arose and saddled a donkey and went to Gath to Achish to seek his servants. | 42 the king sent and summoned Shimei and said to him, "Did I not make you swear by the LORD and solemnly warn you, saying, 'Know for certain that on the day you go out and go to any place whatever, you shall die'? | 43 Why then have you not kept your oath to the LORD and the commandment with which I commanded you?" | 43 അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ നീ യഹോവയുടെ ആണയും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച കല്പനയും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. | 43 फिर तू ने यहोवा की शपय और मेरी दृढ़ आज्ञा क्योंनहीं मानी? |
| 44 The king also said to Shimei, "You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the LORD will bring back your harm on your own head. | 44 പിന്നെ രാജാവു ശിമെയിയോടു: നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു ചെയ്തതും നിനക്കു ഓർമ്മയുള്ളതും ആയ ദോഷമൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; യഹോവ നിന്റെ ദോഷം നിന്റെ തലമേൽ തന്നേ വരുത്തും. | 44 और राजा ने शिमी से कहा, कि तू आप ही अपके मन में उस सब दुष्टता को जानता है, जो तू ने मेरे पिता दाऊद से की यी? इसलिथे यहोवा तेरे सिर पर तेरी दुष्टता लौटा देगा। |
| 45 But King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD forever." | 45 എന്നാൽ ശലോമോൻരാജാവു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനും ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരവുമായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു | 45 परन्तु राजा सुलैमान धन्य रहेगा, और दाऊद का राज्य यहोवा के साम्हने सदैव दृढ़ रहेगा। |
| 46 Then the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck him down, and he died.So the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon. | 46 രാജാവു യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകൻ ബെനായാവോടു കല്പിച്ചു; അവൻ ചെന്നു അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു. അങ്ങനെ രാജത്വം ശലോമോന്റെ കയ്യിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി. | 46 तब राजा ने यहोयादा के पुत्र बनायाह को आज्ञा दी, और उस ने बाहर जाकर, उसको ऐसा मारा कि वह भी मर गया। और सुलैमान के हाथ मे राज्य दृढ़ हो गया। |
