| 9 Now the king heard concerning Tirhakah king of Cush, "Behold, he has set out to fight against you." | 16 Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to mock the living God. | 16 യഹോവേ, ചെവിചായിച്ചു കേൾക്കേണമേ; യഹോവേ, തൃക്കണ്ണുതുറന്നു നോക്കേണമേ; ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ നിന്ദിപ്പാൻ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സൻഹേരീബിന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണമേ. | 16 हे यहोवा ! कान लगाकर सुन, हे यहोवा आंख खोलकर देख, और सन्हेरीब के वचनोंको सुन ले, जो उस ने जीवते परमेश्वर की निन्दा करने को कहला भेजे हैं। |
| 17 Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands | 17 യഹോവേ, അശ്ശൂർ രാജാക്കന്മാർ ആ ജാതികളെയും അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെയും ശൂന്യമാക്കിയതു സത്യം തന്നേ. | 17 हे यहोवा, सच तो है, कि अश्शूर के राजाओं ने जातियोंको और उनके देशोंको उजाड़ा है। |
| 18 and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. | 22 "Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel! | 22 നീ ആരെയാകുന്നു നിന്ദിച്ചു ദുഷിച്ചതു? ആർക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടാകുന്നു നീ ഒച്ച പൊക്കുകയും തല ഉന്നതമായി ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തതു? യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന്നു വിരോധമായിട്ടു തന്നേയല്ലോ. | 22 तू ने जो नामधराई और निन्दा की है, वह किसकी की है? और तू ने जो बड़ा बोल बोला और घमणड किया है वह किसके विरुद्ध किया है? इस्राएल के पवित्र के विरुद्ध तू ने किया है ! |

| 25 "Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? | 29 "And this shall be the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. | 31 For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. | 33 By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the LORD. | 33 അവൻ വന്ന വഴിക്കു തന്നേ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകും; ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു വരികയില്ല. | 33 जिस मार्ग से वह आया, उसी से वह लौट भी जाएगा, और इस नगर में प्रवेश न करने पाएगा, यहोवा की यही वाणी है। |
| 34 For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David." | 34 എന്റെ നിമിത്തവും എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ പാലിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | 34 और मैं अपके निमित्त और अपके दास दाऊद के निमित्त इस नगर की रझा करके इसे बचाऊंगा। |
| 35 And that night the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. | 37 And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword and escaped into the land of Ararat.
