| 2 And the king went up to the house of the LORD, and with him all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the priests and the prophets, all the people, both small and great. | 3 And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. | 4 And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the second order and the keepers of the threshold to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. | 8 And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had made offerings, from Geba to Beersheba. | 17 Then he said, "What is that monument that I see?" | 18 And he said, "Let him be; let no man move his bones." | 19 And Josiah removed all the shrines also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which kings of Israel had made, provoking the LORD to anger. | 20 And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. | 21 And the king commanded all the people, "Keep the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant." | 21 അനന്തരം രാജാവു സകലജനത്തോടും: ഈ നിയമപുസ്കത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാരം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. | 21 और राजा ने सारी प्रजा के लोगोंको आज्ञा दी, कि इस वाचा की पुस्तक में जो कुछ लिखा है, उसके अनुसार अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिथे फसह का पर्व मानो। |

| 25 Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him. | 25 അവനെപ്പോലെ പൂർണ്ണ ഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടും പൂർണ്ണശക്തിയോടും കൂടെ മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണ പ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞ ഒരു രാജാവു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല, പിമ്പു ഒരുത്തൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടുമില്ല. | 25 और उसके तुल्य न तो उस से पहिले कोई ऐसा राजा हुआ और न उसके बाद ऐसा कोई राजा उठा, जो मूसा की पूरी य्यवस्या के अनुसार अपके पूर्ण मन और मूर्ण प्राण और पूर्ण शक्ति से यहोवा की ओर फिरा हो। |
| 26 Still the LORD did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him. | 26 എങ്കിലും മനശ്ശെ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ച സകലകോപഹേതുക്കളും നിമിത്തം യെഹൂദയുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ച തന്റെ മഹാകോപത്തിന്റെ ഉഗ്രതയെ യഹോവ വിട്ടുമാറാതെ: | 26 तौभी यहोवा का भड़का हुआ बड़ा कोप शान्त न हुआ, जो इस कारण से यहूदा पर भड़का या, कि मनश्शे ने यहोवा को क्रोध पर क्रोध दिलाया या। |
| 27 And the LORD said, "I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city that I have chosen, Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there." | 27 ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ യെഹൂദയെയും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു നീക്കുകയും ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഈ യെരൂശലേം നഗരത്തെയും എന്റെ നാമം അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ആലയത്തെയും ത്യജിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചു. | 27 और यहोवा ने कहा या जेसे मैं ने इस्राएल को अपके साम्हने से दूर किया, वैसे ही सहूदा को भी दूर करूंगा; और इस यरूशलेम नगर से जिसे मैं ने चुना और इस भवन से जिसके विषय मैं ने कहा, कि यह मेरे नाम का निवास होगा, मैं हाथ उठाऊंगा। |
| 28 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? | 28 യോശീയാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 28 योशिय्याह के और सब काम जो उस ने किए, वह क्या यहूदा के राजाओं के इतिहास की पुस्तक में नहीं लिखे हैं? |
| 29 In his days Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. King Josiah went to meet him, and Pharaoh Neco killed him at Megiddo, as soon as he saw him. | 29 അവന്റെ കാലത്തു മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോൻ-നെഖോ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ ഫ്രാത്ത് നദിക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; യോശീയാരാജാവു അവന്റെ നേരെ ചെന്നു; അവൻ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മെഗിദ്ദോവിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | 29 उसके दिनोंमें फ़िरौन-नको नाम मिस्र का राजा अश्शूर के राजा के विरुद्ध परात महानद तक गया तो योशिय्याह राजा भी उसका साम्हना करने को गया, और उस ने उसको देखते ही मगिद्दो में मार डाला। |
| 30 And his servants carried him dead in a chariot from Megiddo and brought him to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's place. | 30 അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ മരിച്ചുപോയവനെ രഥത്തിൽ കയറ്റി മെഗിദ്ദോവിൽനിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവന്റെ സ്വന്തകല്ലറയിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു. പിന്നെ ദേശത്തെ ജനം യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോവാഹാസിനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വന്നു അഭിഷേകം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു അവന്റെ അപ്പന്നുപകരം രാജാവാക്കി. | 30 तब उसके कर्मचारियोंने उसकी लोय एक रय पर रख मगिद्दो से ले जाकर यरूशलेम को पहुंचाई और उसकी निज कबर में रख दी। तब साधारण लोगोंने योशिय्याह के पुत्र यहोआहाज को लेकर उसका अभिषेक करके, उसके पिता के स्यान पर राजा नियुक्त किया। |
| 31 Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. | 31 യെഹോവാഹാസ് വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ മൂന്നു മാസം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹമൂതൽ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ലിബ്നക്കാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു. | 31 जब यहोआहाज राज्य करने लगा, तब वह तेई्रस वर्ष का या, और तीन महीने तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा; और उसकी माता का नाम हमूतल या, जो लिब्नावासी यिर्मयाह की बेटी यी। |

| 33 And Pharaoh Neco put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and laid on the land a tribute of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. | 33 അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഫറവോൻ-നെഖോ ഹമാത്ത് ദേശത്തിലെ രിബ്ളയിൽവെച്ചു അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചു, ദേശത്തിന്നു നൂറു താലന്തു വെള്ളിയും ഒരു താലന്തു പൊന്നും പിഴ കല്പിച്ചു. | 33 उसको फ़िरौन-नको ने हमात देश के रिबला नगर में बान्ध रखा, ताकि वह यरूशलेम में राज्य न करने पाए, फिर उस ने देश पर सौ किक्कार चान्दी और किक्कार भर सोना जुरमाना किया। |
| 34 And Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz away, and he came to Egypt and died there. | 34 ഫറവോൻ-നെഖോ യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ എല്യാക്കീമിനെ അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ യോശീയാവിന്നു പകരം രാജാവാക്കി; അവന്റെ പേർ യെഹോയാക്കീം എന്നു മാറ്റി; യെഹോവാഹാസിനെ അവൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവൻ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു മരിച്ചുപോയി. | 34 तब फिरौन-नको ने योशिय्याह के पुत्र एल्याकीम को उसके पिता योशिय्याह के स्यान पर राजा नियुक्त किया, और उसका नाम बदलकर यहोयाकीम रखा; और यहोआहाज को ले गया। सो यहोआहाज मिस्र में जाकर वहीं मर गया। |
| 35 And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh, but he taxed the land to give the money according to the command of Pharaoh. He exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, from everyone according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Neco. | 35 ആ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും യെഹോയാക്കീം ഫറവോന്നു കൊടുത്തു; എന്നാൽ ഫറവോന്റെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം വെള്ളി കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ദേശത്തു വരിയിട്ടു; അവൻ ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെയും പേരിൽ വരിയിട്ടതുപോലെ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും അവരവരോടു പിരിച്ചെടുത്തു ഫറവോൻ-നെഖോവിന്നു കൊടുത്തു. | 35 यहोयाकीम ने फ़िरौन को वह चान्दी और सोना तो दिया परन्तु देश पर इसलिथे कर लगाया कि फ़िरौन की अज्ञा के अनुसार उसे दे सके, अर्यात् देश के सब लोगोंसे जितना जिस पर लगान लगा, उतनी चान्दी और सोना उस से फ़िरौन-नको को देने के लिथे ले लिया। |
| 36 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zebidah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. | 36 യെഹോയാക്കീം വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പതിനൊന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു സെബീദാ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ രൂമക്കാരനായ പെദായാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു. | 36 जब सहोयाकीम राज्य करने लगा, तब वह पक्कीस पर्ष का या, और ग्यारह वर्ष तक यरूशलेम में राज्य करता रहा; और उसकी माता का नाम जबीदा या जो रूमावासी अदायाह की बेटी यी। |
| 37 And he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. | 37 അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു. | 37 उस ने ठीक अपके पुरखाओं की नाई वह किया जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा है। |
