| 1 Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. | 3 She said to her mistress, "Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! | 7 And when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me." | 7 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു എഴുത്തു വായിച്ചപ്പോൾ വസ്ത്രം കീറി: അവൻ ഇതാ, കുഷ്ഠരോഗം മാറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരാളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു! മരിപ്പിക്കയും ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഞാൻ ദൈവമോ? നോക്കുവിൻ, അവൻ ഇതിനാൽ എന്നോടു ശണ്ഠെക്കു കാരണം അന്വേഷിക്കയല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 7 इस पत्र के पढ़ने पर इस्राएल का राजा अपके वस्त्र फाड़कर बोला, क्या मैं मारनेवाला और जिलानेवाला परमेश्वर हूँ कि उस पुरुष ने मेरे पास किसी को इसलिथे भेजा है कि मैं उसका कोढ दूर करूं? सोच विचार तो करो, वह मुझ से फगड़े का कारण ढूंढ़ता होगा। |
| 8 But when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come now to me, that he may know that there is a prophet in Israel." | 8 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു വസ്ത്രം കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷനായ എലീശാ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: നീ വസ്ത്രം കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞതു എന്തു? അവൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരട്ടെ; എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവൻ അറിയും എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. | 8 यह सुनकर कि इस्राएल के राजा ने अपके वस्त्र फाड़े हैं, परमेश्वर के भक्त एलीशा ने राजा के पास कहला भेजा, तू ने क्योंअपके वस्त्र फाड़े हैं? वह मेरे पास आए, तब जान लेगा, कि इस्राएल में भविष्यद्वक्ता तो है। |
| 9 So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and stood at the door of Elisha's house. | 9 അങ്ങനെ നയമാൻ രഥത്തോടും കുതിരകളോടുംകൂടെ എലീശയുടെ വീട്ടുവാതിൽക്കൽ വന്നു നിന്നു. | 9 तब नामान धोड़ोंऔर रयोंसमेत एलीशा के द्वार पर आकर खड़ा हुआ। |
| 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean." | 10 എലീശാ ആളയച്ചു: നീ ചെന്നു യോർദ്ദാനിൽ ഏഴു പ്രാവശ്യം കുളിക്ക; അപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ദേഹം മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെയായി നീ ശുദ്ധനാകും എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. | 10 तब एलीशा ने एक दूत से उसके पास यह कहला भेजा, कि तू जाकर यरदन में सात बार डुबकी मार, तब तेरा शरीर ज्योंका त्योंहो जाएगा, और तू शुद्ध होगा। |
| 11 But Naaman was angry and went away, saying, "Behold, I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call upon the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place and cure the leper. | 11 അപ്പോൾ നയമാൻ ഏറ്റവും ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടു: അവൻ തന്നേ പുറത്തുവന്നു അടുത്തുനിന്നു തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു തന്റെ കൈ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്മീതെ ആട്ടി ഇങ്ങനെ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ വിചാരിച്ചു. | 11 परन्तु नामान क्रोधित हो यह कहता हुआ चला गया, कि मैं ने तो सोचा या, कि अवश्य वह मेरे पास बाहर आएगा, और खड़ा होकर अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रार्यना करके कोढ़ के स्यान पर अपना हाथ फेरकर कोढ़ को दूर करेगा ! |
| 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage. | 12 ദമ്മേശെക്കിലെ നദികളായ അബാനയും പർപ്പരും യിസ്രായേൽദേശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ വെള്ളങ്ങളെക്കാളും നല്ലതല്ലയോ? എനിക്കു അവയിൽ കുളിച്ചു ശുദ്ധനാകരുതോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ ക്രോധത്തോടെ പോയി. | 12 क्या दमिश्क की अबाना और पर्पर नदियां इस्राएल के सब जलाशयोंसे अत्तम नहीं हैं? क्या मैं उन में स्नान करके शुद्ध नहीं हो सकता हूँ? इसलिथे वह जलजलाहट से भरा हुआ लौटकर चला गया। |
| 13 But his servants came near and said to him, "My father, it is a great word the prophet has spoken to you; will you not do it? Has he actually said to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?" | 13 എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അടുത്തു വന്നു അവനോടു: പിതാവേ, പ്രവാചകൻ വലിയോരു കാര്യം നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ നീ ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരിക്കുമോ? പിന്നെ അവൻ: കുളിച്ചു ശുദ്ധനാക എന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചാൽ എത്ര അധികം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 13 तब उसके सेवक पास आकर कहने लगे, हे हमारे पिता यदि भविष्यद्वक्ता तुझे कोई भारी काम करने की आज्ञा देता, तो क्या तू उसे न करता? फिर जब वह कहता है, कि स्नान करके शुद्ध हो जा, तो कितना अधिक इसे मानना चाहिथे। |
| 14 So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. | 14 അപ്പോൾ അവൻ ചെന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷന്റെ വചനപ്രകാരം യോർദ്ദാനിൽ ഏഴു പ്രാവശ്യം മുങ്ങി; അവന്റെ ദേഹം ചെറിയ ബാലന്റെ ദേഹം പോലെ ആയി; അവൻ ശുദ്ധനായ്തീർന്നു. | 14 तब उस ने परमेश्वर के भक्त के वचन के अनुसार यरदन को जाकर उस में सात बार डुबकी मारी, और उसका शरीर छोटे लड़के का सा हो गया; उौर वह शुद्ध हो गया। |
| 15 Then he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and he came and stood before him. And he said, "Behold, I know that there is no God in all the earth but in Israel; so accept now a present from your servant." | 15 പിന്നെ അവൻ തന്റെ സകലപരിവാരവുമായി ദൈവപുരുഷന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങി വന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിൽ അല്ലാതെ ഭൂമിയിൽ എങ്ങും ഒരു ദൈവം ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നു; ആകയാൽ അടിയന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു ഒരു പ്രതിഗ്രഹം കൈക്കൊള്ളേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 15 तब वह अपके सब दल बल समेत परमेश्वर के भक्त के यहां लौट आया, और उसके सम्मुख खड़ा होकर कहने लगा सुन, अब मैं ने जान लिया है, कि समस्त पृय्वी में इस्राएल को छोड़ और कहीं परमेश्वर नहीं है। इसलिथे अब अपके दास की भेंट ग्रहण कर। |
| 16 But he said, "As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none." And he urged him to take it, but he refused. | 16 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ സേവിച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്ന യഹോവയാണ, ഞാൻ ഒന്നും കൈക്കൊള്ളുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. കൈക്കൊൾവാൻ അവനെ നിർബ്ബന്ധിച്ചിട്ടും അവൻ വാങ്ങിയില്ല. | 16 एलीशा ने कहा, यहोवा जिसके सम्मुख मैं उपस्यित रहता हूँ उसके जीवन की शपय मैं कुछ भेंट न लूंगा, और जब उस ने उसको बहुत विवश किया कि भेंट को ग्रहण करे, तब भी वह इनकार ही करता रहा। |
| 17 Then Naaman said, "If not, please let there be given to your servant two mules' load of earth, for from now on your servant will not offer burnt offering or sacrifice to any god but the LORD. | 17 അപ്പോൾ നയമാൻ: എന്നാൽ രണ്ടു കോവർക്കഴുതച്ചുമടു മണ്ണു അടിയന്നു തരുവിക്കേണമേ; അടിയൻ ഇനി യഹോവെക്കല്ലാതെ അന്യദൈവങ്ങൾക്കു ഹോമയാഗവും ഹനനയാഗവും കഴിക്കയില്ല. | 17 तब नामान ने कहा, अच्छा, तो तेरे दास को दो खच्चर मिट्टी मिले, क्योंकि आगे को तेरा दास यहोवा को छोड़ और किसी ईश्वर को होमबलि वा मेलबलि न चढ़ाएगा। |
| 18 In this matter may the LORD pardon your servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, leaning on my arm, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, the LORD pardon your servant in this matter." | 18 ഒരു കാര്യത്തിൽ മാത്രം യഹോവ അടിയനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ: എന്റെ യജമാനൻ നമസ്കരിപ്പാൻ രിമ്മോന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ചെന്നു എന്റെ കൈത്താങ്ങലോടെ കുമ്പിടുമ്പോൾ ഞാനും രിമ്മോന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ യഹോവ അടിയനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ. | 18 एक बात तो यहोवा तेरे दास के लिथे झमा करे, कि जब मेरा स्वामी रिम्मोन के भवन में दणडवत करने को जाए, और वह मेरे हाथ का सहारा ले, और योंमुझे भी रिम्मोन के भवन में दणडवत करनी पके, तब यहोवा तेरे दास का यह काम झमा करे कि मैं रिम्मोन के भवन में दणडवत करूं। |
| 19 He said to him, "Go in peace."But when Naaman had gone from him a short distance, | 19 അവൻ അവനോടു: സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 19 उस ने उस से कहा, कुशल से बिदा हो। |
| 20 Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, "See, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not accepting from his hand what he brought. As the LORD lives, I will run after him and get something from him." | 20 അവൻ അവനെ വിട്ടു കുറെ ദൂരം പോയശേഷം ദൈവപുരുഷനായ എലീശയുടെ ബാല്യക്കാരൻ ഗേഹസി: അരാമ്യൻ നയമാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു എന്റെ യജമാനൻ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങാതെ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; യഹോവയാണ, ഞാൻ അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു അവനോടു അല്പമെങ്കിലും വാങ്ങുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 20 वह उसके यहां से योड़ी दूर जला गया या, कि परमेश्वर के भक्त एलीशा का सेवक गेहजी सोचने लगा, कि मेरे स्वामी ने तो उस अरामी नामान को ऐसा ही छोड़ दिया है कि जो वह ले आया या उसको उस ने न लिया, परन्तु यहोवा के जीवन की शपय मैं उसके पीछे दौड़कर उस से कुछ न कुछ ले लूंगा। |
| 21 So Gehazi followed Naaman. And when Naaman saw someone running after him, he got down from the chariot to meet him and said, "Is all well?" | 21 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ നയമാനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു. അവൻ തന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഓടിവരുന്നതു നയമാൻ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ രഥത്തിൽനിന്നിറങ്ങി അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു: സുഖം തന്നെയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. | 21 तब गेहजी नामान के पीछे दौड़ा, और नामान किसी को अपके पीछे दौड़ता हूआ देखकर, उस से मिलने को रय से उतर पड़ा, और पूछा, सब कुशल झेम तो है? |
| 22 And he said, "All is well. My master has sent me to say, 'There have just now come to me from the hill country of Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets. | 23 And Naaman said, "Be pleased to accept two talents." And he urged him and tied up two talents of silver in two bags, with two festal garments, and laid them on two of his servants. And they carried them before Gehazi. | 23 ദയ ചെയ്തു രണ്ടു താലന്തു വാങ്ങേണമേ എന്നു നയമാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവനെ നിർബ്ബന്ധിച്ചു രണ്ടു സഞ്ചിയിൽ രണ്ടു താലന്തു വെള്ളിയും രണ്ടു കൂട്ടം വസ്ത്രവും കെട്ടി തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരുടെ പക്കൽ കൊടുത്തു; അവർ അതു ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നടന്നു. | 23 नामान ने कहा, दो किक्कार लेने को प्रसन्न हो, तब उस ने उस से बहुत बिनती करके दो किक्कार खन्दी अलग यैलियोंमें बान्धकर, दो जोड़े वस्त्र समेत अपके दो सेवकोंपर लाद दिया, और वे उन्हें उसके आगे आगे ले चले। |
| 24 And when he came to the hill, he took them from their hand and put them in the house, and he sent the men away, and they departed. | 24 കുന്നിന്നരികെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ അതു അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി വീട്ടിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു വെച്ചിട്ടു ബാല്യക്കാരെ അയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവർ പോകയും ചെയ്തു. | 24 जब वह टीले के पास पहुंचा, तब उस ने उन वस्तुओं को उन से लेकर घर में रख दिया, और उन मनुष्योंको बिदा किया, और वे चले गए। |
| 25 He went in and stood before his master, and Elisha said to him, "Where have you been, Gehazi?" And he said, "Your servant went nowhere." | 25 പിന്നെ അവൻ അകത്തു കടന്നു യജമാനന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു. എന്നാറെ എലീശാ അവനോടു: ഗേഹസിയേ, നീ എവിടെ പോയിരുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അടിയൻ എങ്ങും പോയില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. | 25 और वह भीतर जाकर, अपके स्वामी के साम्हने खड़ा हुआ। एलीशा ने उस से पूछा, हे गेहजी तू कहां से आता है? उस ने कहा, तेरा दास तो कहीं नहीं गया, |
| 26 But he said to him, "Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants? | 26 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ആ പുരുഷൻ രഥത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി നിന്നെ എതിരേറ്റപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിന്നോടു കൂടെ പോന്നിരുന്നില്ലയോ? ദ്രവ്യം സമ്പാദിപ്പാനും വസ്ത്രം, ഒലിവുതോട്ടം, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം, ആടുമാടുകൾ, ദാസീദാസന്മാർ എന്നീവകമേടിപ്പാനും ഇതാകുന്നുവോ സമയം? | 26 उस ने उस से कहा, जब वह पुरुष इधर मुंह फेरकर तुझ से मिलने को अपके रय पर से उतरा, तब वह पूरा हाल मुझे मालूम या; क्या यह समय चान्दी वा वस्त्र वा जलपाई वा दाख की बारियां, भेड़-बकरियां, गायबैल और दास-दासी लेने का है? |
| 27 Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever." So he went out from his presence a leper, like snow. | 27 ആകയാൽ നയമാന്റെ കുഷ്ഠം നിനക്കും നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും എന്നേക്കും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുത്തു കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായി അവനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. | 27 इस कारण से नामान का कोढ़ तुझे और तेरे वंश को सदा लगा रहेगा। तब वह हिम सा श्वेत कोढ़ी होकर उसके साम्हने से चला गया। |
