| 1 Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land had rest for ten years. | 1 അബീയാവു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആസാ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി. അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ദേശത്തിന്നു പത്തു സംവത്സരം സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടായി. | 1 निदान अबिय्याह अपके पुरखाओं के संग सो गया, और उसको दाऊदपुर में मिट्टी दी गई; और उसका पुत्र आसा उसके स्यान पर राज्य करने लगा। इसके दिनोंमें दस वर्ष तक देश में चैन रहा। |
| 2 And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God. | 2 ആസാ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രസാദവും ഹിതവും ആയുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു. | 2 और आसा ने वही किया जो उसके परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में अच्छा और ठीक या। |
| 3 He took away the foreign altars and the high places and broke down the pillars and cut down the Asherim | 3 അവൻ അന്യദേവന്മാരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും പൂജാഗിരികളും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സ്തംഭവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ ഉടെച്ചു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു, | 3 उस ने तो पराई वेदियोंको और ऊंचे स्यानोंको दूर किया, और लाठोंको तुड़वा डाला, और अशेरा नाम मूरतोंको तोड़ डाला। |
| 4 and commanded Judah to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, and to keep the law and the commandment. | 4 യെഹൂദയോടു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാനും ന്യായപ്രമാണവും കല്പനയും ആചരിച്ചു നടപ്പാനും കല്പിച്ചു. | 4 और यहूदियोंको आज्ञा दी कि अपके पूर्वजोंके परमेश्वर यहोवा की खोज करें और य्यवस्या और आज्ञा को मानों। |
| 5 He also took out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the incense altars. And the kingdom had rest under him. | 5 അവൻ എല്ലായെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും പൂജാഗിരികളും സൂര്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; രാജ്യം അവന്റെ കീഴിയിൽ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു. | 5 और उस ने ऊंचे स्यानोंऔर सूर्य की प्रतिमाओं को यहूदा के सब नगरोंमें से दूर किया, और उसके साम्हने राज्य में चैन रहा। |
| 6 He built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. He had no war in those years, for the LORD gave him peace. | 6 യഹോവ അവന്നു വിശ്രമം നല്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടാകയാലും ആ സംവത്സരങ്ങളിൽ അവന്നു യുദ്ധം ഇല്ലായ്കയാലും അവൻ യെഹൂദയിൽ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പണിതു. | 6 और उस ने यहूदा में गढ़वाले नगर बसाए, क्योंकि देश में चैन रहा। और उन बरसोंमें उसे किसी से लड़ाई न करनी पक्की क्योंकि यहोवा ने उसे विश्रम दिया या। |
| 7 And he said to Judah, "Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the LORD our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side." So they built and prospered. | 7 അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യരോടു: നാം ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പണിതു അവെക്കു ചുറ്റും മതിലുകളും ഗോപുരങ്ങളും വാതിലുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കുക; നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശം നമുക്കു സ്വാധീനമായിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; നാം അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും അവൻ ചുറ്റും നമുക്കു വിശ്രമം നല്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ വെടിപ്പായി പണിതു തീർത്തു. | 7 उस ने यहूदियोंसे कहा, आओ हम इन नगरोंको बसाएं और उनके चारोंओर शहरपनाह, गढ़ और फाटकोंके पल्ले और बेड़े बनाएं; देश अब तक हमारे साम्हने पड़ा है, क्योंकि हम ने, अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा की खोज की है हमने उसकी खोज की और उस ने हमको चारोंओर से विश्रम दिया है। तब उन्होंने उन नगरोंको बसाया और कृतार्य हुए। |
| 8 And Asa had an army of 300,000 from Judah, armed with large shields and spears, and 280,000 men from Benjamin that carried shields and drew bows. All these were mighty men of valor. | 8 ആസെക്കു വൻപരിചയും കുന്തവും എടുത്തവരായി മൂന്നുലക്ഷം യെഹൂദ്യരും ചെറുപരിച എടുപ്പാനും വില്ലു കുലെപ്പാനും പ്രാപ്തരായി രണ്ടുലക്ഷത്തെണ്പതിനായിരം ബെന്യാമീന്യരും ഉള്ളോരു സൈന്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും പരാക്രമശാലികൾ ആയിരുന്നു. | 8 फिर आसा के पास ढाल और बछीं रखनेवालोंकी एक सेना थी, अर्यात् यहूदा में से तो तीन लाख पुरुष और बिन्यामीन में से फरी रखनेवाले और धनुर्धारी दो लाख अस्सी हजार थे सब शूरवीर थे। |
| 9 Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and came as far as Mareshah. | 9 അനന്തരം കൂശ്യനായ സേരഹ് പത്തുലക്ഷം ആളും മുന്നൂറു രഥവും ഉള്ള സൈന്യത്തോടുകൂടെ അവരുടെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു മാരേശാവരെ വന്നു. | 9 और उनके विरुद्ध दस लाख पुरुषोंकी सेना और तीन सौ रय लिथे हुए जेरह नाम एक कूशी निकला और मारेशा तक आ गया। |
| 10 And Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up their lines of battle in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. | 10 ആസാ അവന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ മാരേശെക്കു സമീപം സെഫാഥാതാഴ്വരയിൽ പടെക്കു അണിനിരത്തി. | 10 तब आसा उसका साम्हना करने को चला और मारेशा के निकट सापता नाम तराई में युद्ध की पांति बान्धी गई। |
| 11 And Asa cried to the LORD his God, "O LORD, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you." | 11 ആസാ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു: യഹോവേ, ബലവാന്നും ബലഹീനന്നും തമ്മിൽ കാര്യം ഉണ്ടായാൽ സഹായിപ്പാൻ നീയല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ, സഹായിക്കേണമേ; നിന്നിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം; മർത്യൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ പ്രബലനാകരുതേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 11 तब आसा ने अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा की योंदोहाई दी, कि हे यहोवा ! जैसे तू सामयीं की सहाथता कर सकता है, वैसे ही शक्तिहीन की भी; हे हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ! हमारी सहाथता कर, क्योंकि हमारा भरोसा तुझी पर है और तेरे नाम का भरोसा करके हम इस भीड़ के विरुद्ध आए हैं। हे यहोवा, तू हमारा परमेश्वर है; मनुष्य तुझ पर प्रबल न होने पाएगा। |
| 12 So the LORD defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. | 12 അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ആസയുടെയും യെഹൂദ്യരുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ കൂശ്യരെ തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കി; കൂശ്യർ ഓടിപ്പോയി. | 12 तब यहोवा ने कूशियोंको आसा और यहूदियोंके साम्हने मारा और कूशी भाग गए। |
| 13 Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for they were broken before the LORD and his army. The men of Judah carried away very much spoil. | 13 ആസയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പടജ്ജനവും അവരെ ഗെരാർ വരേ പിന്തുടർന്നു; കൂശ്യർ ആരും ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിക്കാതെ പട്ടുപോയി; അവർ യഹോവയുടെയും അവന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവർ വളരെ കവർച്ചയും എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോന്നു. | 13 और आसा और उसके संग के लोगोंने उनका पीछा गरार तक किया, और इतने कूशी मारे गए, कि वे फिर सिर न उठा सके क्योंकि वे यहोवा और उसकी सेना से हार गए, और यहूदी बहुत सा लूट ले गए। |
| 14 And they attacked all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the LORD was upon them. They plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them. | 14 അവർ ഗെരാറിന്നു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം നശിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നു ഒരു ഭീതി അവയുടെമേൽ വീണിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളെയും കൊള്ളയിട്ടു; അവയിൽ കൊള്ള വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. | 14 और उन्होंने गरार के आस पास के सब नगरोंको मार लिया, क्योंकि यहोवा का भय उनके रहनेवालोंके मन में समा गया और उन्होंने उन नगरोंको लूट लिया, क्योंकि उन में बहुत सा धन या। |
| 15 And they struck down the tents of those who had livestock and carried away sheep in abundance and camels. Then they returned to Jerusalem. | 15 അവർ നാൽക്കാലികളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളെയും ആക്രമിച്ചു, അനവധി ആടുകളെയും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയും അപഹരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു. | 15 फिर पशु-शालाओं को जीतकर बहुत सी भेड़- बकरियां और ऊंट लूटकर यरूशलेम को लौटे। |
