| 1 Now Solomon purposed to build a temple for the name of the LORD, and a royal palace for himself. | 1 അനന്തരം ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയവും തനിക്കു ഒരു അരമനയും പണിയുവാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു. | 1 और सुलैमान ने यहोवा के नाम का एक भवन और अपना राजभवन बनाने का विचार किया। |
| 2 And Solomon assigned 70,000 men to bear burdens and 80,000 to quarry in the hill country, and 3,600 to oversee them. | 2 ശലോമോൻ എഴുപതിനായിരം ചുമട്ടുകാരെയും മലയിൽ എണ്പതിനായിരം കല്ലുവെട്ടുകാരെയും അവർക്കു മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരായി മൂവായിരത്തറുനൂറുപേരെയും നിയമിച്ചു. | 2 इसलिए सुलैमान ने सत्तर हजार बोफिथे और अस्सी हजार पहाड़ से पत्यर काटनेवाले और वृझ काटनेवाले, और इन पर तीन हजार छ: सौ मुखिथे गिनती करके ठहराए। |

| 6 But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? | 8 Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum timber from Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon.
