| 1 On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king. | 1 അന്നു രാത്രി രാജാവിന്നു ഉറക്കം വരായ്കയാൽ അവൻ ദിനവൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ കുറിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുസ്തകം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; അതു രാജാവിനെ വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു; | 1 उस रात राजा को नींद नहीं आई, इसलिथे उसकी आज्ञा से इतिहास की पुस्तक लाई गई, और पढ़कर राजा को सुनाई गई। |
| 2 And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. | 2 ഉമ്മരിപ്പടി കാവൽക്കാരായി രാജാവിന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരിൽ ബിഗ്ദ്ധാനാ, തേരെശ് എന്നീ രണ്ടുപേർ അഹശ്വേരോശ്‌രാജാവിനെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്ന സംഗതി മൊർദ്ദെഖായി അറിവു തന്നപ്രകാരം അതിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു. | 2 और यह लिखा हुआ मिला, कि जब राजा झयर्ष के हाकिम जो द्वारपाल भी थे, उन में से बिगताना और तेरेश नाम दो जनोंने उस पर हाथ चलाने की युक्ति की यी उसे मोर्दकै ने प्रगट किया या। |
| 3 And the king said, "What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?" The king's young men who attended him said, "Nothing has been done for him." | 3 ഇതിന്നു വേണ്ടി മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു എന്തു ബഹുമാനവും പദവിയും കൊടുത്തു എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചു. ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു രാജാവിനെ സേവിച്ചുനിന്ന ഭൃത്യന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു. | 3 तब राजा ने पूछा, इसके बदले मोर्दकै की क्या प्रतिष्ठा और बड़ाई की गई? राजा के जो सेवक उसकी सेवा टहल कर रहे थे, उन्होंने उसको उत्तर दिया, उसके लिथे कुछ भी नहीं किया गया। |
| 4 And the king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king's palace to speak to the king about having Mordecai hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for him. | 4 പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ ആരുള്ളു എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ ഹാമാൻ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു വേണ്ടി താൻ തീർപ്പിച്ച കഴുവിന്മേൽ അവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ രാജധാനിയുടെ പുറത്തു പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ വന്നു നിൽക്കയായിരുന്നു. | 4 राजा ने पूछा, आंगन में कौन है? उसी समय तो हामान राजा के भवन से बाहरी आंगन में इस मनसा से आया या, कि जो खम्भा उस ने मोर्दकै के लिथे तैयार कराया या, उस पर उसको लटका देने की चर्चा राजा से करे। |
| 5 And the king's young men told him, "Haman is there, standing in the court." And the king said, "Let him come in." | 5 രാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഹാമാൻ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അകത്തു വരട്ടെ എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു. | 5 तब राजा के सेवकोंने उस से कहा, आंगन में तो हामान खड़ा है। राजा ने कहा, उसे भीतर बुलवा लाओ। |
| 6 So Haman came in, and the king said to him, "What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?" And Haman said to himself, "Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?" | 6 ഹാമാൻ അകത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ രാജാവു അവനോടു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു എന്തെല്ലാമാകുന്നു ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നെയല്ലാതെ ആരെ രാജാവു അത്ര അധികം ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കും എന്നു ഹാമാൻ ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു വിചാരിച്ചു. | 6 जब हामान भीतर आया, तब राजा ने उस से पूछा, जिस मनुष्य की प्रतिष्ठा राजा करना चाहता हो तो उसके लिथे क्या करना उचित होगा? हामान ने यह सोचकर, कि मुझ से अधिक राजा किस की प्रतिष्ठा करना चाहता होगा? |
| 7 And Haman said to the king, "For the man whom the king delights to honor, | 7 ഹാമാൻ രാജാവിനോടു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു വേണ്ടി | 7 राजा को उत्तर दिया, जिस मनुष्य की प्रतिष्ठा राजा करना चाहे, |
| 8 let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and the horse that the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown is set. | 8 രാജാവു ധരിച്ചുവരുന്ന രാജവസ്ത്രവും രാജാവു കയറുന്ന കുതിരയും അവന്റെ തലയിൽ വെക്കുന്ന രാജകിരീടവും കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ. | 8 तो उसके लिथे राजकीय वस्त्र लाया जाए, जो राजा पहिनता है, और एक घेड़ा भी, जिस पर राजा सवार होता है, ओर उसके सिर पर जो राजकीय मुकुट धरा जाता है वह भी लाया जाए। |
| 9 And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king's most noble officials. Let them dress the man whom the king delights to honor, and let them lead him on the horse through the square of the city, proclaiming before him: 'Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.'" | 9 വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും രാജാവിന്റെ അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണം; രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷനെ ആ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി പട്ടണവീഥിയിൽ കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറയേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 9 फिर वह वस्त्र, और वह घेड़ा राजा के किसी बड़े हाकिम को सौंपा जाए, और जिसकी प्रतिष्ठा राजा करना चाहता हो, उसको वह वस्त्र पहिनाया जाए, और उस घोड़े पर सवार करके, नगर के चौक में उसे फिराया जाए; और उसके आगे आगे यह प्रचार किया जाए, कि जिसकी प्रतिष्ठा राजा करना चाहता है, उसके साय ऐसा ही किया जाएगा। |
| 10 Then the king said to Haman, "Hurry; take the robes and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew who sits at the king's gate. Leave out nothing that you have mentioned." | 10 രാജാവു ഹാമാനോടു: നീ വേഗം ചെന്നു വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദനായ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു അങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്ക; നീ പറഞ്ഞതിൽ ഒന്നും കുറെച്ചുകളയരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. | 10 राजा ने हामान से कहा, फुतीं करके अपके कहने के अनुसार उस वस्त्र और उस घोड़े को लेकर, उस यहूदी मोर्दकै से जो राजभवन के फाटक में बैठा करता है, वैसा ही कर। जैसा तू ने कहा है उस में कुछ भी कमी होने न पाए। |
| 11 So Haman took the robes and the horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him, "Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor." | 11 അപ്പോൾ ഹാമാൻ വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി പട്ടണവീഥിയിൽകൂടെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. | 11 तब हामान ने उस वस्त्र, और उस घोड़े को लेकर, मोर्दकै को पहिनाया, और उसे घोड़े पर चढ़ाकर, नगर के चौक में इस प्रकार पुकारता हुआ घुमाया कि जिसकी प्रतिष्ठा राजा करना चाहता है उसके साय ऐसा ही किया जाएगा। |
| 12 Then Mordecai returned to the king's gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered. | 12 മൊർദ്ദെഖായി രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു. ഹാമാനോ ദുഃഖിതനായി തലമൂടിയുംകൊണ്ടു വേഗത്തിൽ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി. | 12 तब मोर्दकै तो राजभवन के फाटक में लौट गया परन्तु हामान शोक करता हुआ और सिर ढांपे हुए फट अपके घर को गया। |
| 13 And Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of the Jewish people, you will not overcome him but will surely fall before him." | 13 തനിക്കു സംഭവിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഹാമാൻ ഭാര്യയായ സേരെശിനോടും തന്റെ സകല സ്നേഹിതന്മാരോടും വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ വിദ്വാന്മാരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ സേരെശും അവനോടു: മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നീ വീഴുവാൻ തുടങ്ങി; അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യവംശക്കാരനാകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ അവനെ ജയിക്കയില്ല; അവനോടു തോറ്റുപോകെയുള്ള എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 13 और हामान ने अपक्की पत्ती जेरेश और अपके सब मित्रोंसे सब कुछ जो उस पर बीता या वर्णन किया। |
| 14 While they were yet talking with him, the king's eunuchs arrived and hurried to bring Haman to the feast that Esther had prepared. | 14 അവർ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാജാവിന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാർ വന്നു എസ്ഥേർ ഒരുക്കിയവിരുന്നിന്നു ഹാമാനെ വേഗത്തിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി. | 14 तब उसके बुद्धिमान मित्रोंऔर उसकेी पत्नी जेरेश ने उस से कहा, मोर्दकै जिसे तू नीचा दिखना चाहता है, यदि वह यहूदियोंके वंश में का है, तो तू उस पर प्रबल न होने पाएगा उस से पूरी रीति नीचा ही खएगा। वे उस से बातें कर ही रहे थे, कि राजा के खोजे आकर, हामान को एस्तेर की की हुई जेवनार में फुतीं से लिवा ले गए। |
