| 2 Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you know not what disaster may happen on earth. | 2 ഒരു ഓഹരിയെ ഏഴായിട്ടോ എട്ടായിട്ടോ വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊൾക; ഭൂമിയിൽ എന്തു അനർത്ഥം സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ. | 2 सात वरन आठ जनोंको भी भाग दे, क्योंकि तू नहीं जानता कि पृय्वी पर क्या विपत्ति आ पकेगी। |
| 3 If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie. | 3 മേഘം വെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ പെയ്യും; വൃക്ഷം തെക്കോട്ടോ വടക്കോട്ടോ വീണാൽ വീണെടത്തു തന്നേ കിടക്കും. | 3 यदि बादल जल भरे हैं, तब उसका भूमि पर उण्डेल देते हैं; और वृझ चाहे दक्खिन की ओर गिरे या उत्तर की ओर, तौभी जिस स्यान पर वृझ गिरेगा, वहीं पड़ा रहेगा। |
| 4 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. | 4 കാറ്റിനെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നവൻ വിതെക്കയില്ല; മേഘങ്ങളെ നോക്കുന്നവൻ കൊയ്കയുമില്ല. | 4 जो वायु को ताकता रहेगा वह बीज बोने न पाएगा; और जो बादलोंको देखता रहेगा वह लवने न पाएगा। |

| 8 So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity. | 9 യൌവനക്കാരാ, നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്ക; യൌവനകാലത്തിൽ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ; നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള വഴികളിലും നിനക്കു ബോധിച്ചവണ്ണവും നടന്നുകൊൾക; എന്നാൽ ഇവ ഒക്കെയും നിമിത്തം ദൈവം നിന്നെ ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിലേക്കു വരുത്തും എന്നറിക. | 8 यदि मनुष्य बहुत वर्ष जीवित रहे, तो उन सभोंमें आनन्दित रहे; परन्तु यह स्मरण रखे कि अन्धिक्कारने से दिन भी बहुत होंगे। जो कुछ होता है वह व्यर्य है।। |
| 9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment. | 10 ആകയാൽ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു വ്യസനം അകറ്റി, നിന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്നു തിന്മ നീക്കിക്കളക; ബാല്യവും യൌവനവും മായ അത്രേ. | 9 हे जवान, अपक्की जवानी में आनन्द कर, और अपक्की जवानी के दिनोंके मगन रह; अपक्की मनमानी कर और अपक्की आंखोंकी दृष्टि के अनुसार चल। परन्तु यह जान रख कि इन सब बातोंके विषय में परमेश्वर तेरा न्याय करेगा।। |
| 10 Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity. | 10 अपके मन से खेद और अपक्की देह से दु:ख दूर कर, क्योंकि लड़कपन और जवानी दोनो व्यर्य है। |
