| 1 Hear the word that the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. | 1 യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്ന വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ! | 1 यहोवा योंकहता है, हे इस्राएल के घराने जो वचन यहोवा तुम से कहता है उसे सुनो। |
| 2 Thus says the LORD: "Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, | 2 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജാതികളുടെ വഴി പഠിക്കരുതു; ആകാശത്തിലെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കരുതു; ജാതികൾ അല്ലോ അവ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നതു. | 2 अन्यजातियोंको चाल मत सीखो, न उनकी नाई आकाश के चिन्होंसे विस्मित हो, इसलिथे कि अन्यजाति लोग उन से विस्मित होते हैं। |
| 3 for the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. | 3 ജാതികളുടെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തിയെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഒരുവൻ കാട്ടിൽനിന്നു വെട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന മരവും ആശാരി വാച്ചികൊണ്ടു ചെയ്ത പണിയും അത്രേ. | 3 क्योंकि देशोंके लोगोंकी रीतियां तो निकम्मी हैं। मूरत तो बन में से किसी का काटा हुआ काठ है जिसे कारीगर ने बसूले से बनाया है। |
| 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. | 4 അവർ അതിനെ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നുംകൊണ്ടു അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഇളകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ അതിനെ ആണിയും ചുറ്റികയുംകൊണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു. | 4 लोग उसको सोने-चान्दी से सजाते और हयैड़े से कील ठोंक ठोंककर दुढ़ करते हैं कि वह हिल-डुल न सके। |
| 5 Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good." | 5 അവ വെള്ളരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ തൂണുപോലെയാകുന്നു; അവ സംസാരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവെക്കു നടപ്പാൻ വഹിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവയെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പോകേണം; അവയെ ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; ഒരു ദോഷവും ചെയ്‍വാൻ അവെക്കു കഴികയില്ല; ഗുണം ചെയ്‍വാനും അവെക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല. | 5 वे खरादकर ताड़ के पेड़ के समान गोल बनाई जाती हैं, पर बोल नहीं सकतीं; उन्हें उठाए फिरना पड़ता है, क्योंकि वे चल नहीं सकतीं। उन से मत डरो, क्योंकि, न तो वे कुछ बुरा कर सकती हैं और न कुछ भला। |
| 6 There is none like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. | 6 യഹോവേ, നിന്നോടു തുല്യനായവൻ ആരുമില്ല; നീ വലിയവനും നിന്റെ നാമം ബലത്തിൽ വലിയതും ആകുന്നു. | 6 हे यहोवा, तेरे समान कोई नहीं है; तू महान है, और तेरा नाम पराक्रम में बड़ा है। |
| 7 Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you. | 7 ജാതികളുടെ രാജാവേ, ആർ നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതെയിരിക്കും? അതു നിനക്കു യോഗ്യമല്ലോ; ജാതികളുടെ സകല ജ്ഞാനികളിലും അവരുടെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളിലും നിന്നോടു തുല്യനായവൻ ആരും ഇല്ല. | 7 हे सब जातियोंके राजा, तुझ से कौन न डरेगा? क्योंकि यह तेरे योग्य है; अन्यजातियोंके सारे बुद्धिमानोंमें, और उनके सारे राज्योंमें तेरे समान कोई नहीं है। |
| 8 They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood! | 8 അവർ ഒരുപോലെ മൃഗപ്രായരും ഭോഷന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളുടെ ഉപദേശമോ മരമുട്ടിയത്രേ. | 8 परन्तु वे पशु सरीखे निरे मूर्ख हैं; मूत्तिर्योंसे क्या शिझा? वे तो काठ ही हैं ! |
| 9 Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz. They are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith; their clothing is violet and purple; they are all the work of skilled men. | 9 തർശീശിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ടു വന്ന വെള്ളിയും ഊഫാസിൽനിന്നുള്ള പൊന്നും അടിച്ചുപരത്തുന്നു; അതു കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരന്റെയും തട്ടാന്റെയും കൈപ്പണിതന്നേ; നീലവും രക്താംബരവും അവയുടെ ഉടുപ്പു; അവയൊക്കെയും കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ പണി അത്രേ. | 9 पत्तर बनाई हुई चान्दी तशींश से लाई जाती है, और उफाज से सोना। वे कारीगर और सुनार के हाथोंकी कारीगरी हैं; उनके पहिरावे नीले और बैंजनी रंग के वस्त्र हैं; उन में जो कुछ है वह निपुण कारीगरोंकी कारीगरी ही है। |
| 10 But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation. | 10 യഹോവയോ സത്യദൈവം; അവൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവവും ശാശ്വതരാജാവും തന്നേ; അവന്റെ ക്രോധത്താൽ ഭൂമി നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ജാതികൾക്കു അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം സഹിപ്പാൻ കഴികയുമില്ല. | 10 परन्तु यहोवा वास्तव में परमेश्वर है; जीवित परमेश्वर और सदा का राजा वही है। उसके प्रकोप से पृय्वी कांपक्की है, और जाति जाति के लोग उसके क्रोध को सह नहीं सकते। |
| 11 Thus shall you say to them: "The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens." | 11 ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും നിർമ്മിക്കാത്ത ദേവന്മാരോ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നും ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്നും നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരോടു പറവിൻ. | 11 तुम उन से यह कहना, थे देवता जिन्होंने आकाश और पृय्वी को नहीं बनाया वे पृय्वी के ऊपर से और आकाश के नीचे से नष्ट हो जाएंगे। |
| 12 It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens. | 12 അവൻ തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ ഭൂമിയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, തന്റെ വിവേകത്താൽ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിച്ചു. | 12 उसी ने पृय्वी को अपक्की सामर्य से बनाया, उस ने जगत को अपक्की बुद्धि से स्यिर किया, और आकाश को अपक्की प्रवीणता से तान दिया है। |
| 13 When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses. | 13 അവൻ തന്റെ നാദം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആകാശത്തു വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു അവൻ ആവി കയറ്റുന്നു; മഴെക്കു മിന്നൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കി തന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽനിന്നു കാറ്റു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു. | 13 जब वह बोलता है तब आकाश में जल का बड़ा शब्द होता है, और पृय्वी की छोर से वह कुहरे को उठाता है। वह वर्षा के लिथे बिजली चमकाता, और अपके भणडार में से पवन चलाता है। |
| 14 Every man is stupid and without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, for his images are false, and there is no breath in them. | 14 ഏതു മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗപ്രായനും പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്തവനും ആകുന്നു; തട്ടാന്മാരൊക്കെയും വിഗ്രഹംനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; അവർ വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹം വ്യാജമത്രേ; അവയിൽ ശ്വാസവുമില്ല. | 14 सब मनुष्य पशु सरीखे ज्ञानरहित हैं; अपक्की खोदी हुई मूरतोंके कारण सब सुनारोंकी आशा टूटती है; क्योंकि उनकी ढाली हुई मूरतें फूठी हैं, और उन में सांस ही नहीं है। |
| 15 They are worthless, a work of delusion; at the time of their punishment they shall perish. | 15 അവ മായയും വ്യർത്ഥ പ്രവൃർത്തിയും തന്നേ; സന്ദർശനകാലത്തു അവ നശിച്ചുപോകും. | 15 वे व्यर्य और ठट्ठे ही के योग्य हैं; जब उनके दण्ड का समय आएगा तब वे नाश हो जाएंगीं। |
| 16 Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob, for he is the one who formed all things, and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the LORD of hosts is his name. | 16 യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഓഹരിയായവൻ അവയെപ്പോലെയല്ല; അവൻ സർവ്വത്തെയും നിർമ്മിച്ചവൻ; യിസ്രായേൽ അവന്റെ അവകാശഗോത്രം; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം. | 16 परन्तु याकूब का निज भाग उनके समान नहीं है, क्योंकि वह तो सब का सृजनहार है, और इस्राएल उसके निज भाग का गोत्र है; सेनाओं का यहोवा उसका नाम है। |
| 17 Gather up your bundle from the ground, O you who dwell under siege! | 17 നിരോധത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവളേ, നിലത്തു നിന്നു നിന്റെ ഭാണ്ഡം എടുത്തുകൊൾക. | 17 हे घेरे हुए नगर की रहनेवाली, अपक्की गठरी भूमि पर से उठा ! |
| 18 For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I am slinging out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and I will bring distress on them, that they may feel it." | 18 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ഈ തവണ ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ കവിണയിൽവെച്ചെറിഞ്ഞുകളകയും അവർക്കു പറ്റുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും. | 18 क्योंकि यहोवा योंकहता है, मैं अब की बार इस देश के रहनेवालोंको मानो गोफ़न में धरके फेंक दूंगा, और उन्हें ऐसे ऐसे संकट में डालूंगा कि उनकी समझ में भी नहीं आएगा। |
| 19 Woe is me because of my hurt! My wound is grievous. But I said, "Truly this is an affliction, and I must bear it." | 19 എന്റെ പരിക്കുനിമിത്തം എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! എന്റെ മുറിവു വ്യസനകരമാകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ: അതു എന്റെ ദീനം! ഞാൻ അതു സഹിച്ചേ മതിയാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 19 मुझ पर हाथ ! मेरा घाव चंगा होने का नहीं। फिर मैं ने सोचा, यह तो रोग ही है, इसलिथे मुझ को इसे सहना चाहिथे। |
| 20 My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; my children have gone from me, and they are not; there is no one to spread my tent again and to set up my curtains. | 20 എന്റെ കൂടാരം കവർച്ചയായ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കയറു ഒക്കെയും അറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോയി; അവർ ഇല്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി എന്റെ കൂടാരം അടിപ്പാനും തിരശ്ശീല നിവിർക്കുവാനും ആരുമില്ല. | 20 मेरा तम्बू लूटा गया, और सब रस्सियां टूट गई हैं; मेरे लड़केबाले मेरे पास से चले गए, और नहीं हैं; अब कोई नहीं रहा जो मेरे तम्बू को ताने और मेरी कनातें खड़ी करे। |
| 21 For the shepherds are stupid and do not inquire of the LORD; therefore they have not prospered, and all their flock is scattered. | 21 ഇടയന്മാർ മൃഗപ്രായരായ്തീർന്നു; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ കൃതാർത്ഥരായില്ല; അവരുടെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം ഒക്കെയും ചിതറിപ്പോയി. | 21 क्योंकि चरवाहे पशु सरीखे हैं, और वे यहोवा को नहीं पुकारते; इसी कारण वे बुद्धि से नहीं चलते, और उनकी सब भेड़ें तितर-बितर हो गई हैं। |
| 22 A voice, a rumor! Behold, it comes!--a great commotion out of the north country to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a lair of jackals. | 22 കേട്ടോ, ഒരു ശ്രുതി: ഇതാ, യെഹൂദപട്ടണങ്ങളെ ശൂന്യവും കുറുക്കന്മാരുടെ പാർപ്പിടവും ആക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു മഹാകോലാഹലവുമായി വരുന്നു. | 22 सुन, एक शब्द सुनाई देता है ! देख, वह आ रहा है ! उत्तर दिशा से बड़ा हुल्लड़ मच रहा है ताकि यहूदा के नगरोंको उजाड़कर गीदड़ोंका स्यान बना दे। |
| 23 I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. | 23 യഹോവേ, മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴിയും നടക്കുന്നവന്നു തന്റെ കാലടികളെ നേരെ ആക്കുന്നതും സ്വാധീനമല്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു. | 23 हे यहोवा, मैं जान गया हूँ, कि मनुष्य का मार्ग उसके वश में नहीं है, मनुष्य चलता तो हे, परन्तु उसके डग उसके अधीन नहीं हैं। |
| 24 Correct me, O LORD, but in justice; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing. | 24 യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതെയായ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്നെ കോപത്തോടെയല്ല ന്യായത്തോടെയത്രേ ശിക്ഷിക്കേണമേ. | 24 हे यहोवा, मेरी ताड़ना कर, पर न्याय से; क्रोध में आकर नहीं, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि मैं नाश हो जाऊं। |
| 25 Pour out your wrath on the nations that know you not, and on the peoples that call not on your name, for they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him and consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation. | 25 നിന്നെ അറിയാത്ത ജാതികളുടെമേലും നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കാത്ത വംശങ്ങളുടെമേലും നിന്റെ ക്രോധം പകരേണമേ; അവർ യാക്കോബിനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; അവർ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങി നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. | 25 जो जाति तुझे नहीं जानती, और जो तुझ से प्रार्यना नहीं करते, उन्हीं पर अपक्की जलजलाहट उण्डेल; क्योंकि उन्होंने याकूब को निगल लिया, वरन, उसे खाकर अन्त कर दिया है, और उसके निवासस्यान को उजाड़ दिया है। |
