| 2 "Thus says the LORD: He who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. | 3 Thus says the LORD: This city shall surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon and be taken." | 3 യിരെമ്യാവു സകല ജനത്തോടും പ്രസ്താവിച്ച വചനങ്ങളെ മത്ഥാന്റെ മകനായ ശെഫത്യാവും പശ്ഹൂരിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവും ശെലെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യൂഖലും മൽക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ പശ്ഹൂരും കേട്ടിട്ടു | 3 यहोवा योंकहता है, यह नगर बाबुल के राजा की सेना के वश में कर दिया जाएगा और वह इसको ले लेगा। |
| 4 Then the officials said to the king, "Let this man be put to death, for he is weakening the hands of the soldiers who are left in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. | 5 King Zedekiah said, "Behold, he is in your hands, for the king can do nothing against you." | 5 സിദെക്കീയാരാജാവു: ഇതാ, അവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്‍വാൻ രാജാവിന്നു കഴിവില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 5 सिदकिय्याह राजा ने कहा, सुनो, वह तो तुम्हारे वश में हे; क्योंकि ऐसा नहीं हो सकता कि राजा तुम्हारे विरुद्व कुछ कर सके। |
| 6 So they took Jeremiah and cast him into the cistern of Malchiah, the king's son, which was in the court of the guard, letting Jeremiah down by ropes. | 11 So Ebed-melech took the men with him and went to the house of the king, to a wardrobe in the storehouse, and took from there old rags and worn-out clothes, which he let down to Jeremiah in the cistern by ropes. | 11 അങ്ങനെ ഏബെദ്--മേലെക്ക് ആയാളുകളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു രാജഗൃഹത്തിൽ ഭണ്ഡാരമുറിക്കു കീഴെ ചെന്നു അവിടെ നിന്നു പഴന്തുണിയും കീറ്റുതുണിക്കണ്ടങ്ങളും എടുത്തു കുഴിയിൽ യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു കയറുവഴി ഇറക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു. | 11 सो एबेदमेलेक उतने पुरुषोंको साय लेकर राजभवन के भण्डार के तलघर में गया; और वहां से फटेपुराने कपके और चियड़े लेकर यिर्मयाह के पास उस गड़हे में रस्सिक्कों उतार दिए। |
| 12 Then Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, "Put the rags and clothes between your armpits and the ropes." | 13 Then they drew Jeremiah up with ropes and lifted him out of the cistern. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard. | 13 അവർ യിരെമ്യാവെ കയറുകൊണ്ടു കുഴിയിൽനിന്നു വലിച്ചുകയറ്റി; യിരെമ്യാവു കാവൽപുരമുറ്റത്തു പാർത്തു. | 13 तब उन्होंने यिर्मयाह को रस्सिक्कों खींचकर, गड़हे में से निकाला। और यिर्मयाह पहरे के आंगन में रहने लगा। |
| 14 King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and received him at the third entrance of the temple of the LORD. | 15 Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, "If I tell you, will you not surely put me to death? And if I give you counsel, you will not listen to me." | 15 അതിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവു സിദെക്കീയാവോടു: ഞാൻ അതു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചാൽ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുകയില്ലയോ? ഞാൻ ഒരു ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞു തന്നാൽ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 15 यिर्मयाह ने सिदकिय्याह से कहा, यदि मैं तुझे बताऊं, तो क्या तू मुझे मरवा न डालेगा? और चाहे मैं तुझे सम्मति भी दूं, तौभी तू मेरी न मानेगा। |

| 17 Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, "Thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then your life shall be spared, and this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live. | 17 എന്നാറെ യിരെമ്യാവു സിദെക്കീയാവോടു: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ബാബേൽ രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു ചെന്നാൽ നിനക്കു പ്രാണരക്ഷയുണ്ടാകും; ഈ നഗരത്തെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളകയുമില്ല; നീയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും ജീവനോടെ ഇരിക്കും. | 17 यिर्मयाह ने सिदकिय्याह से कहा, सेनाओं का परमेश्वर यहोवा जो इस्राएल का परमेश्वर है, वह योंकहता है, यदि तू बाबुल के राजा के हाकिमोंके पास सचमुच निकल जाए, तब तो तेरा प्राण बचेगा, और यह नगर फूंका न जाएगा, और तू अपके घराने समेत जीवित रहेगा। |
| 18 But if you do not surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then this city shall be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and you shall not escape from their hand." | 18 നീ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു ചെല്ലാഞ്ഞാലോ ഈ നഗരം കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവർ അതിനെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും; നീ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റിയൊഴികയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 18 परन्तु, यदि तू बाबुल के राजा के हाकिमोंके पास न निकल जाए, तो यह नगर कसदियोंके वश में कर दिया जाएगा, ओर वे इसे फूंक देंगे, और तू उनके हाथ से बच न सकेगा। |
| 19 King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, "I am afraid of the Judeans who have deserted to the Chaldeans, lest I be handed over to them and they deal cruelly with me." | 19 സിദെക്കീയാരാജാവു യിരെമ്യാവോടു: കല്ദയർ എന്നെ അവരുടെ പക്ഷം ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കയും അവർ എന്നെ അപമാനിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 19 सिदकिय्याह ने यिर्मयाह से कहा, जो यहूदी लोग कसदियोंके पास भाग गए हैं, मैं उन से डरता हूँ, ऐसा न हो कि मैं उनके वश में कर दिया जाऊं और वे मुझ से ठट्ठा करें। |
| 20 Jeremiah said, "You shall not be given to them. Obey now the voice of the LORD in what I say to you, and it shall be well with you, and your life shall be spared. | 20 അതിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞതു: അവർ നിന്നെ ഏല്പിക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കേണമേ; എന്നാൽ നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കും; നിനക്കു പ്രാണരക്ഷയുണ്ടാകും. | 20 यिर्मयाह ने कहा, तू उनके वश में न कर दिया जाएगा; जो कुछ मैं तुझ से कहता हूँ उसे यहोवा की बात समझकर मान ले तब तेरा भला होगा, और तेरा प्राण बचेगा। |
| 21 But if you refuse to surrender, this is the vision which the LORD has shown to me: | 21 പുറത്തു ചെല്ലുവാൻ നിനക്കു മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിലോ, യഹോവ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തന്ന അരുളപ്പാടാവിതു: | 21 और यदि तू निकल जाना स्वीकार न करे तो जो बात यहोवा ने मुझे दर्शन के द्वारा बताई है, वह यह है: |
| 22 Behold, all the women left in the house of the king of Judah were being led out to the officials of the king of Babylon and were saying, "'Your trusted friends have deceived you and prevailed against you; now that your feet are sunk in the mud, they turn away from you.' | 22 യെഹൂദാരാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകലസ്ത്രീകളും പുറത്തു ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോകേണ്ടിവരും; നിന്റെ ചങ്ങാതിമാർ നിന്നെ വശീകരിച്ചു തോല്പിച്ചു; നിന്റെ കാൽ ചെളിയിൽ താണപ്പോൾ പിന്മാറിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവർ പറയും. | 22 देख, यहूदा के राजा के रनवास में जितनी स्त्रियां रह गई हैं, वे बाबुल के राजा के हाकिमोंके पास निकाल कर पहुंचाई जाएंगी, और वे तुझ से कहेंगी, तेरे मित्रोंने तुझे बहकाया, और उनकी इच्छा पूरी हो गई; और जब तेरे पांव कीच में धंस गए तो वे पीछे फिर गए हैं। |
| 23 All your wives and your sons shall be led out to the Chaldeans, and you yourself shall not escape from their hand, but shall be seized by the king of Babylon, and this city shall be burned with fire." | 23 നിന്റെ സകലഭാര്യമാരെയും മക്കളെയും പുറത്തു കല്ദയരുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകും; നീയും അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെടും; ഈ നഗരത്തെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയുന്നതിന്നു നീ ഹേതുവാകും. | 23 तेरी सब स्त्रियां और लड़केबाले कसदियोंके पास निकाल कर पहुंचाए जाएंगे; और तू भी कसदियोंके हाथ से न बचेगा, वरन तू पकड़कर बाबुल के राजा के वश में कर दिया जाएगा ओर इस नगर के फूंके जाने का कारण तू ही होगा। |
| 24 Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, "Let no one know of these words, and you shall not die. | 24 സിദെക്കീയാവു യിരെമ്യാവോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഈ കാര്യം ആരും അറിയരുതു: എന്നാൽ നീ മരിക്കയില്ല. | 24 तब सिदकिय्याह ने यिर्मयाह से कहा, इन बातोंको कोई न जानने पाए, तो तू मारा न जाएगा। |
| 25 If the officials hear that I have spoken with you and come to you and say to you, 'Tell us what you said to the king and what the king said to you; hide nothing from us and we will not put you to death,' | 25 ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചപ്രകാരം പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കേട്ടിട്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീ രാജാവിനോടു എന്തു സംസാരിച്ചു? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക; ഒന്നും മറെച്ചുവെക്കരുതു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുകയില്ല; രാജാവു നിന്നോടു എന്തു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചാൽ, | 25 यदि हाकिम लोग यह सुनकर कि मैं ने तुझ से बातचीत की है तेरे पास आकर कहने लगें, हमें बता कि तू ने राजा से क्या कहा, हम से कोई बात न छिपा, और हम तुझे न मरवा डालेंगे; और यह भी बता, कि राजा ने तुझ से क्या कहा, |

| 27 Then all the officials came to Jeremiah and asked him, and he answered them as the king had instructed him. | 28 And Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard until the day that Jerusalem was taken. | 28 യെരൂശലേം പിടിച്ച നാൾവരെ യിരെമ്യാവു കാവൽപുരമുറ്റത്തു പാർത്തു; യെരൂശലേം പിടിച്ചപ്പോഴും അവൻ അവിടെത്തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു. | 28 इस प्रकार जिस दिन यरूशलेम ले लिया गया उस दिन तक वह पहरे के आंगन ही में रहा। |
