| 1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel, but he incurred guilt through Baal and died. | 1 എഫ്രയീം സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ വിറയൽ ഉണ്ടായി; അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ മികെച്ചവനായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ബാൽമുഖാന്തരം കുറ്റം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി. | 1 जब एप्रैम बोलता या, तब लोग कांपके थे; और जब इस्राएल में बड़ा या; परन्तु जब वह बाल के कारण दोषी हो गया, तब वह मर गया। |
| 2 And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. | 3 Therefore they shall be like the morning mist or like the dew that goes early away, like the chaff that swirls from the threshing floor or like smoke from a window. | 3 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ പ്രഭാതമേഘംപോലെയും കാലത്തെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന മഞ്ഞുപോലെയും കളത്തിൽനിന്നു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു പറപ്പിക്കുന്ന പതിർപോലെയും പുകകൂഴലിൽനിന്നു പൊങ്ങുന്ന പുകപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും. | 3 इस कारण वे भोर के मेघ, तड़के सूख जानेवाली ओस, खलिहान पर से आंधी के मारे उड़नेवाली भूसी, या चिमनी से निकलते हुए धूएं के समान होंगे।। |
| 4 But I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no savior. | 4 ഞാനോ മിസ്രയീംദേശംമുതൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; എന്നെയല്ലാതെ വേറൊരു ദൈവത്തെയും നീ അറിയുന്നില്ല; | 4 मिस्र देश ही से मैं यहोवा, तेरा परमेश्वर हूं; तू मुझे छोड़ किसी को परमेश्वर करके न जानना; क्योंकि मेरे सिवा कोई तेरा उद्धारकर्ता नहीं हैं। |
| 5 It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought; | 5 ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു രക്ഷിതാവു ഇല്ലല്ലോ. ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഏറ്റവും വരണ്ട ദേശത്തു തന്നേ നിന്നെ മേയിച്ചു. | 5 मैं ने उस समय तुझ पर मन लगाया जब तू जंगल में वरन अत्यन्त सूखे देश में या। |
| 6 but when they had grazed, they became full, they were filled, and their heart was lifted up; therefore they forgot me. | 6 അവർക്കു മേച്ചൽ ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവർ മേഞ്ഞു തൃപ്തരായപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ഉയർന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ എന്നെ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | 6 परन्तु जब इस्राएली चराए जाते थे और वे तृप्त हो गए, तब तृप्त होने पर उनका मन घमण्ड से भर गया; इस कारण वे मुझ को भूल गए। |
| 7 So I am to them like a lion; like a leopard I will lurk beside the way. | 7 ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ അവർക്കു ഒരു സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കും; വഴിയരികെ വള്ളിപ്പുലിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവർക്കായി പതിയിരിക്കും; | 7 सो मैं उनके लिथे सिंह सा बना हूं; मैं चीते की नाईं उनके मार्ग में घात लगाए रहूंगा। |
| 8 I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rip them open. | 8 കുട്ടികൾ പൊയ്പോയ കരടിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ എതിരിട്ടു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ നെയ്‍വല കീറിക്കളയും; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാൻ അവരെ ഒരു സിംഹംപോലെ തിന്നുകളയും; കാട്ടുമൃഗം അവരെ കടിച്ചുകീറും. | 8 मैं बच्चे छीनी हुई रीछनी के समान बनकर उनको मिलूंगा, और उनके ह्रृदय की फिल्ली को फाडूंगा, और सिंह की नाईं उनको वहीं खा डालूंगा, जैसे बन-पशु उनको फाड़ डाले।। |
| 9 He destroys you, O Israel, for you are against me, against your helper. | 9 യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്റെ സഹായമായിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നോടു നീ മറുക്കുന്നതു നിന്റെ നാശം ആകുന്നു. | 9 हे इस्राएल, तेरे विनाश का कारण यह है, कि तू मेरा अर्यात् अपके सहाथक का विरोधी है। |
| 10 Where now is your king, to save you in all your cities? Where are all your rulers--those of whom you said, "Give me a king and princes"? | 10 നിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കാകുന്ന നിന്റെ രാജാവു ഇപ്പോൾ എവിടെ? എനിക്കു ഒരു രാജാവിനെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും തരേണം എന്നു നീ അപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ എവിടെ? | 10 अब तेरा राजा कहां रहा कि तेरे सब नगरोंमें वह तुझे बचाए? और तेरे न्यायी कहां रहे, जिनके विषय में तू ने कहा या कि मेरे लिथे राजा और हाकिम ठहरा दें? |
| 11 I gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath. | 11 എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു രാജാവിനെ തന്നു, എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവനെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. | 11 मैं ने क्रोध में आकर तेरे लिथे राजा बनाथे, और फिर जलजलाहट में आकर उनको हटा भी दिया। |
| 12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is kept in store. | 12 എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ അകൃത്യം സംഗ്രഹിച്ചും അവന്റെ പാപം സൂക്ഷിച്ചും വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | 12 एप्रैम का अधर्म गठा हुआ है, उनका पाप संचय किया हुआ है। |
| 13 The pangs of childbirth come for him, but he is an unwise son, for at the right time he does not present himself at the opening of the womb. | 13 നോവുകിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ വേദന അവന്നു ഉണ്ടാകും; അവൻ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മകൻ; സമയമാകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ ഗർഭദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ എത്തുന്നില്ല. | 13 उसको जच्चा की सी पीड़ाए उठेंगी, परन्तु वह निर्बुद्धि लड़का है जो जन्म के समय ठीक से नहीं आता। |
| 14 Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from Death? O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your sting? | 15 Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the LORD, shall come, rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched; it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing. | 15 അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഫലപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനായിരുന്നാലും ഒരു കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റു വരും; അവന്റെ ഉറവു വറ്റി കിണർ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവയുടെ കാറ്റു മരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു വരും; അവൻ സകലമനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും നിക്ഷേപത്തെ കവർന്നുകൊണ്ടുപോകും. | 15 चाहे वह अपके भाइयोंसे अधिक फूलें-फलें, तौभी पुरवाई उस पर चलेगी, और यहोवा की ओर से मरूस्यल से आएगी, और उसका कुण्ड सूखेगा; और उसका सोता निर्जन हो जाएगा। उसकी रखी हुई सब मनभावनी वस्तुएं वह लूट ले जाएगा। |
| 16 Samaria shall bear her guilt, because she has rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword; their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open. | 16 ശമർയ്യാ തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു മത്സരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവൾ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; അവർ വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവരുടെ ശിശുക്കളെ അവർ തകർത്തുകളയും; അവരുടെ ഗർഭിണികളുടെ ഉദരം പിളർന്നുകളയും. | 16 सामरिया दोषी ठहरेगा, क्योंकि उस ने अपके परमेश्वर से बलवा किया है; वे तलवार से मारे जाएंगे, उनके बच्चे पटके जाएंगे, और उनकी गर्भवती स्त्रियां चीर डालीं जाएंगी।। |
