| 1 When I would heal Israel, the iniquity of Ephraim is revealed, and the evil deeds of Samaria; for they deal falsely; the thief breaks in, and the bandits raid outside. | 1 ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ചികിത്സ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ, എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ അകൃത്യവും ശമർയ്യയുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അവർ വ്യാജം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; അകത്തു കള്ളൻ കടക്കുന്നു; പുറത്തു കവർച്ചക്കാരുടെ കൂട്ടം കൊള്ളയിടുന്നു. | 1 जब मैं इस्राएल को चंगा करता हूं तब एप्रैम का अधर्म और शोमरोन की बुराइयां प्रगट हो जाती हैं; वे छल से काम करते हैं, चोर भीतर घुसता, और डाकुओं का दल बाहर छीन लेता है। |
| 2 But they do not consider that I remember all their evil. Now their deeds surround them; they are before my face. | 2 അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവർ മനസ്സിൽ വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ല, ഇപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ സ്വന്തപ്രവർത്തികൾ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. | 2 तौभी वे नहीं सोचते कि यहोवा हमारी सारी बुराई को स्मरण रखता है। इसलिथे अब वे अपके कामोंके जाल में फसेंगे, क्योंकि उनके कार्य मेरी दृष्टि में बने हैं। |

| 4 They are all adulterers; they are like a heated oven whose baker ceases to stir the fire, from the kneading of the dough until it is leavened. | 4 അവർ എല്ലാവരും വ്യഭിചാരികൾ ആകുന്നു; അപ്പക്കാരൻ ചൂടുപിടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അപ്പക്കൂടുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; മാവു കുഴെച്ചതുമുതൽ അതു പുളിക്കുവോളം തീയെരിക്കാതിരിക്കും. | 4 वे सब के सब व्यभिचारी हैं; वे उस तन्दूर के समान हैं जिसको पकानेवाला गर्म करता है, पर जब तक आटा गूंधा नहीं जाता और खमीर से फूल नहीं चुकता, तब तक वह आग को नहीं उसकाता। |
| 5 On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with mockers. | 5 നമ്മുടെ രാജാവിന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കു വീഞ്ഞിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്താൽ ദീനം പിടിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ പരിഹാസികളോടുകൂടെ കൈ നീട്ടുന്നു. | 5 हमारे राजा के जन्म दिन में हाकिम दाखमधु पीकर चूर हुए; उस ने ठट्ठा करनेवालोंसे अपना हाथ मिलाया। |
| 6 For with hearts like an oven they approach their intrigue; all night their anger smolders; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire. | 6 അവർ പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അപ്പക്കൂടുപോലെ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ അപ്പക്കാരൻ രാത്രി മുഴുവനും ഉറങ്ങുന്നു; രാവിലെ അതു ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന തീപോലെ കത്തുന്നു. | 6 जब तक वे घात लगाए रहते हैं, तब तक वे अपना मन तन्दूर की नाई तैयार किए रहते हैं; उनका पकानेवाला रात भर सोता रहता है; वह भोर को तन्दूर की धधकती लौ के समान लाल हो जाता है। |
| 7 All of them are hot as an oven, and they devour their rulers. All their kings have fallen, and none of them calls upon me. | 7 അവരൊക്കെയും അപ്പക്കൂടുപോലെ ചൂടുപിടിച്ചു, തങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാരെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ എന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരുമില്ല. | 7 वे सब के सब तन्दूर की नाई धधकते, और अपके न्यायियोंको भस्म करते हैं। उनके सब राजा मारे गए हैं; और उन में से कोई मेरी दोहाई नहीं देता है।। |
| 8 Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned. | 8 എഫ്രയീം ജാതികളോടു ഇടകലർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എഫ്രയീം മറിച്ചിടാത്ത ദോശ ആകുന്നു. | 8 एप्रैम देश देश के लोगोंसे मिलाजुला रहता है; एप्रैम ऐसी चपाती ठहरा है जो उलटी न गई हो। |
| 9 Strangers devour his strength, and he knows it not; gray hairs are sprinkled upon him, and he knows it not. | 9 അന്യജാതികൾ അവന്റെ ബലം തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവന്നു അവിടവിടെ നരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല. | 9 परदेशियोंने उसका बल तोड़ डाला, परन्तु वह इसे नहीं जानता; उसके सिर में कहीं कहीं पके बाल हैं, परन्तु वह इसे भी नहीं जानता। |
| 10 The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him, for all this. | 10 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അഹംഭാവം അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നിട്ടില്ല; ഇതിൽ ഒക്കെയും അവനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചിട്ടും ഇല്ല. | 10 इस्राएल का गर्व उसी के विरूद्व साझी देता है; इन सब बातोंके रहते हुए भी वे अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा की ओर नहीं फिरे, और न उसको ढूंढ़ा है।। |
| 11 Ephraim is like a dove, silly and without sense, calling to Egypt, going to Assyria. | 11 എഫ്രയീം ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത പൊട്ടപ്രാവുപോലെ ആകുന്നു; അവർ മിസ്രയീമിനെ വിളിക്കയും അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കു പോകയും ചെയ്യന്നു. | 11 एप्रैम एक भोली पण्डुकी के समान हो गया है जिस के कुछ बुद्धि नहीं; वे मिस्रियोंकी दोहाई देते, और अश्शूर को चले जाते हैं। |

| 13 Woe to them, for they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against me! I would redeem them, but they speak lies against me. | 13 അവർ എന്നെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോയതുകൊണ്ടു അവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; അവർ എന്നോടു അതിക്രമം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു അവർക്കു നാശം; ഞാൻ അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചിട്ടും അവർ എന്നോടു ഭോഷ്കു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. | 13 उन पर हाथ, क्योंकि वे मेरे पास से भटक गए! उनका सत्यानाश होए, क्योंकि उन्होंने मुझ से बलवा किया है! मैं तो उन्हें छुड़ाता रहा, परन्तु वे मुझ से फूठ बोलते आए हैं।। |
| 14 They do not cry to me from the heart, but they wail upon their beds; for grain and wine they gash themselves; they rebel against me. | 14 അവർ ഹൃദയപൂർവ്വം എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കാതെ കിടക്കയിൽവെച്ചു മുറയിടുന്നു; അവർ ധാന്യവും വീഞ്ഞും നിമിത്തം ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടുന്നു; അവർ എന്നോടു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു. | 14 वे मन से मेरी दोहाई नहीं देते, परन्तु अपके बिछौने पर पके हुए हाथ, हाथ, करते हैं; वे अन्न और नथे दाखमधु पाने के लिथे भीड़ लगाते, और मुझ से बलवा करते हैं। |

| 16 They return, but not upward; they are like a treacherous bow; their princes shall fall by the sword because of the insolence of their tongue. This shall be their derision in the land of Egypt. | 16 അവർ തിരിയുന്നു, മേലോട്ടു അല്ലതാനും; അവർ വഞ്ചനയുള്ള വില്ലുപോലെ ആകുന്നു; അവരുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ നാവിന്റെ ക്രോധംനിമിത്തം വാളുകൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അതു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു അവർക്കു പരിഹാസഹേതുവായ്തീരും. | 16 वे फिरते तो हैं, परन्तु परमप्रधान की ओर नहीं; वे धोखा देनेवाले धनुष के समान हैं; इसलिथे उनके हाकिम अपक्की क्रोधभरी बातोंके कारण तलवार से मारे जाएंगे। मिस्र देश में उनके ठट्ठोंमें उड़ाए जाने का यही कारण होगा।। |
