| 4 For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: "Seek me and live; | 4 യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ. | 4 यहोवा, इस्राएल के घराने से योंकहता है, मेरी खोज में लगो, तब जीवित रहोगे। |

| 16 Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord: "In all the squares there shall be wailing, and in all the streets they shall say, 'Alas! Alas!' | 18 Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! Why would you have the day of the LORD? | 19 as if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him, or went into the house and leaned his hand against the wall, and a serpent bit him. | 19 അതു ഒരുത്തൻ സിംഹത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോയിട്ടു കരടി അവന്നു എതിർപ്പെടുകയോ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു കൈവെച്ചു ചുമരോടു ചാരീട്ടു സർപ്പം അവനെ കടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു. | 19 जैसा कोई सिंह से भागे और उसे भालू मिले; वा घर में आकर भीत पर हाथ टेके और सांप उसको डसे। |
| 20 Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light, and gloom with no brightness in it? | 20 യഹോവയുടെ ദിവസം വെളിച്ചമല്ല, ഇരുൾ തന്നെയല്ലോ; ഒട്ടും പ്രകാശമില്ലാതെ അന്ധതമസ്സു തന്നേ. | 20 क्या यह सच नहीं है कि यहोवा का दिन उजियाले का नहीं, वरन अन्धिक्कारने ही का होगा? हां, ऐसे घोर अन्धकार का जिस में कुछ भी चमक न हो।। |
| 21 "I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. | 21 നിങ്ങളുടെ മത്സരങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു നിരസിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഭായോഗങ്ങളിൽ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമില്ല. | 21 मैं तुम्हारे पर्वोंसे बैर रखता, और उन्हें निकम्मा जानता हूं, और तुम्हारी महासभाओं से मैं प्रसन्न नहीं। |
