| 1 "When the LORD your God cuts off the nations whose land the LORD your God is giving you, and you dispossess them and dwell in their cities and in their houses, | 1 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തിലെ ജാതികളെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഛേദിച്ചുകളകയും നീ അവരുടെ ദേശം അടക്കി അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും വീടുകളിലും പാർക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ | 1 जब तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उन जातियोंको नाश करे जिनका देश वह तुझे देता है, और तू उनके देश का अधिक्कारनेी हो के उनके नगरोंऔर घरोंमें रहने लगे, |
| 2 you shall set apart three cities for yourselves in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess. | 2 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തിൽ മൂന്നു പട്ടണം വേറുതിരിക്കേണം. | 2 तब अपके देश के बीच जिसका अधिक्कारनेी तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे कर देता है तीन नगर अपके लिथे अलग कर देना। |
| 3 You shall measure the distances and divide into three parts the area of the land that the LORD your God gives you as a possession, so that any manslayer can flee to them. | 3 ആരെങ്കിലും കൊലചെയ്തുപോയാൽ അവിടേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഒരു വഴി ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശം മൂന്നായി വിഭാഗിക്കയും വേണം; | 3 और तू अपके लिथे मार्ग भी तैयार करना, और अपके देश के जो तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे सौंप देता है तीन भाग करना, ताकि हर एक खूनी वहीं भाग जाए। |
| 4 "This is the provision for the manslayer, who by fleeing there may save his life. If anyone kills his neighbor unintentionally without having hated him in the past-- | 4 കൊല ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവിടേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി ജീവനോടിരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവന്റെ സംഗതി എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഒരുത്തൻ പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷംകൂടാതെ അബദ്ധവശാൽ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കൊന്നുപോയെങ്കിൽ, എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ: | 4 और जो खूनी वहां भागकर अपके प्राण को बचाए, वह इस प्रकार का हो; अर्यात् वह किसी से बिना पहिले बैर रखे वा उसको बिना जाने बूफे मार डाला हो |

| 6 lest the avenger of blood in hot anger pursue the manslayer and overtake him, because the way is long, and strike him fatally, though the man did not deserve to die, since he had not hated his neighbor in the past. | 6 ഇങ്ങനെ കൊല ചെയ്തവനെ രക്തപ്രതികാരകൻ മനസ്സിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്തോടെ പിന്തുടർന്നു വഴിയുടെ ദൂരംനിമിത്തം അവനെ പിടിച്ചു അവന്റെ ജീവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ ഓടിപ്പോയി ജീവനോടിരിക്കേണം; അവന്നു അവനോടു പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷമില്ലാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മരണശിക്ഷെക്കു ഹേതുവില്ല. | 6 ऐसा न हो कि मार्ग की लम्बाई के कारण खून का पलटा लेनेवाला अपके क्रोध के ज्वलन में उसका पीछा करके उसको जा पकड़े, और मार डाले, यद्यपि वह प्राणदण्ड के योग्य नहीं, क्योंकि उस से बैर नहीं रखता या। |
| 7 Therefore I command you, You shall set apart three cities. | 7 അതുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു പട്ടണം വേറുതിരിക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു. | 7 इसलिथे मैं तुझे यह आज्ञा देता हूं, कि अपके लिथे तीन नगर अलग कर रखना। |
| 8 And if the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as he has sworn to your fathers, and gives you all the land that he promised to give to your fathers-- | 8 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ സ്നേഹിച്ചു എല്ലാനാളും അവന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടക്കയും ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന ഈ സകലകല്പനകളും ജാഗ്രതയോടെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ | 8 और यदि तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा उस शपय के अनुसार जो उस ने तेरे पूर्वजोंसे खाई यी तेरे सिवानोंको बढ़ाकर वह सारा देश तुझे दे, जिसके देने का वचन उस ने तेरे पूर्वजोंको दिया या |
| 9 provided you are careful to keep all this commandment, which I command you today, by loving the LORD your God and by walking ever in his ways--then you shall add three other cities to these three, | 9 നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്റെ അതിർ വിശാലമാക്കി നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത ദേശം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു തന്നാൽ ഈ മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ കൂടാതെ വേറെയും മൂന്നു വേറുതിരിക്കേണം. | 9 यदि तू इन सब आज्ञाओं के मानने में जिन्हें मैं आज तुझ को सुनाता हूं चौकसी करे, और अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा से प्रेम रखे और सदा उसके मार्गोंपर चलता रहे तो इन तीन नगरोंसे अधिक और भी तीन नगर अलग कर देना, |
| 10 lest innocent blood be shed in your land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, and so the guilt of bloodshed be upon you. | 10 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ചിന്നീട്ടു നിന്റെമേൽ രക്തപാതകം ഉണ്ടാകരുതു. | 10 इसलिथे कि तेरे उस देश में जो तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तेरा निज भाग करके देता है किसी निर्दोष का खून न बहाथा जाए, और उसका दोष तुझ पर न लगे। |
| 11 "But if anyone hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him and attacks him and strikes him fatally so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities, | 11 എന്നാൽ ഒരുത്തൻ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു തരംനോക്കി അവനോടു കയർത്തു അവനെ അടിച്ചുകൊന്നിട്ടു ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിൽ ഓടിപ്പോയാൽ, | 11 परन्तु यदि कोई किसी से बैर रखकर उसकी घात में लगे, और उस पर लपककर उसे ऐसा मारे कि वह मर जाए, और फिर उन नगरोंमें से किसी में भाग जाए, |
| 12 then the elders of his city shall send and take him from there, and hand him over to the avenger of blood, so that he may die. | 12 അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ ആളയച്ചു അവനെ അവിടെനിന്നു വരുത്തി അവനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു രക്തപ്രതികാരകന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണം. | 12 तो उसके नगर के पुरनिथे किसी को भेजकर उसको वहां से मंगाकर खून के पलटा लेनेवाले के हाथ में सौंप दे, कि वह मार डाला जाए। |
| 13 Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall purge the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, so that it may be well with you. | 13 നിനക്കു അവനോടു കനിവു തോന്നരുതു; നിനക്കു നന്മ വരുവാനായി കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ചൊരിഞ്ഞ പാതകം യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു നീക്കക്കളയേണം. | 13 उस पर तरस न खाना, परन्तु निर्दोष के खून का दोष इस्राएल से दूर करना, जिस से तुम्हारा भला हों।। |
| 14 "You shall not move your neighbor's landmark, which the men of old have set, in the inheritance that you will hold in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess. | 14 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തിൽ പൂർവ്വന്മാർ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ അതിർ നീക്കരുതു. | 14 जो देश तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझ को देता है, उसका जो भाग तुझे मिलेगा, उस में किसी का सिवाना जिसे अगले लोगोंने ठहराया हो न हटाना।। |
| 15 "A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established. | 15 മനുഷ്യൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന യാതൊരു അകൃത്യത്തിന്നോ പാപത്തിന്നോ അവന്റെ നേരെ ഏകസാക്ഷി നിൽക്കരുതു; രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴിമേൽ കാര്യം ഉറപ്പാക്കേണം. | 15 किसी मनुष्य के विरूद्ध किसी प्रकार के अधर्म वा पाप के विषय में, चाहे उसका पाप कैसा ही क्यो न हो, एक ही जन की साझी न सुनना, परन्तु दो वा तीन साझीयोंके कहने से बात पक्की ठहरे। |
| 16 If a malicious witness arises to accuse a person of wrongdoing, | 16 ഒരുത്തന്റെ നേരെ അകൃത്യം സാക്ഷീകരിപ്പാൻ ഒരു കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷി അവന്നു വിരോധമായി എഴുന്നേറ്റാൽ | 16 यदि कोई फूठी साझी देनेवाला किसी के विरूद्ध याहोवा से फिर जाने की साझी देने को खड़ा हो, |
| 17 then both parties to the dispute shall appear before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who are in office in those days. | 17 തമ്മിൽ വ്യവഹാരമുള്ള രണ്ടുപേരും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിൽക്കേണം. | 17 तो वे दोनोंमनुष्य, जिनके बीच ऐसा मुकद्दमा उठा हो, यहोवा के सम्मुख, अर्यात् उन दिनोंके याजकोंऔर न्यायियोंके साम्हने खड़े किए जाएं; |
| 18 The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, | 18 ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ നല്ലവണ്ണം വിസ്താരം കഴിക്കേണം; സാക്ഷി കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷി എന്നും സഹോദരന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും കണ്ടാൽ | 18 तब न्यायी भली भांति पूछपाछ करें, और यदि यह निर्णय पाए कि वह फूठा साझी है, और अपके भाई के विरूद्ध फूठी साझी दी है |
| 19 then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. | 19 അവൻ സഹോദരന്നു വരുത്തുവാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനോടു ചെയ്യേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം. | 19 तो अपके भाई की जैसी भी हानि करवाने की युक्ति उस ने की हो वैसी ही तुम भी उसकी करना; इसी रीति से अपके बीच में से ऐसी बुराई को दूर करना। |
| 20 And the rest shall hear and fear, and shall never again commit any such evil among you. | 20 ഇനി നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അതുപോലെയുള്ള ദോഷം നടക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ശേഷമുള്ളവർ കേട്ടു ഭയപ്പെടേണം. നിനക്കു കനിവു തോന്നരുതു; ജീവന്നു പകരം ജീവൻ, കണ്ണിന്നു പകരം കണ്ണു, പല്ലിന്നു പകരം പല്ലു, കൈക്കു പകരം കൈ, കാലിന്നു പകരം കാൽ. | 20 और दूसरे लोग सुनकर डरेंगे, और आगे को तेरे बीच फिर ऐसा बुरा काम नहीं करेंगे। |
| 21 Your eye shall not pity. It shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. | 21 और तू बिलकुल तरस न खाना; प्राण की सन्ती प्राण का, आंख की सन्ती आंख का, दांत की सन्ती दांत का, हाथ की सन्ती हाथ का, पांव की सन्ती पांव का दण्ड देना।। |
