| 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. | 8 ഇരുമനസ്സുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ വഴികളിൽ ഒക്കെയും അസ്ഥിരൻ ആകുന്നു. | 8 वह व्यक्ति दुचित्ता है, और अपक्की सारी बातोंमें चंचल है।। |
| 9 Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, | 9 എന്നാൽ എളിയ സഹോദരൻ തന്റെ ഉയർച്ചയിലും | 9 दीन भाई अपके ऊंचे पद पर घमण्ड करे। |
| 10 and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. | 10 ധനവാനോ പുല്ലിന്റെ പൂപോലെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നവനാകയാൽ തന്റെ എളിമയിലും പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ. | 10 और धनवान अपक्की नीच दशा पर: क्योंकि वह घास के फूल की नाई जाता रहेगा। |
| 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. | 11 സൂര്യൻ ഉഷ്ണക്കാറ്റോടെ ഉദിച്ചിട്ടു പുല്ലു ഉണങ്ങി പൂവുതിർന്നു അതിന്റെ രൂപഭംഗി കെട്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതുപോലെ ധനവാനും തന്റെ പ്രയത്നങ്ങളിൽ വാടിപോകും. | 11 क्योंकि सूर्य उदय होते ही कड़ी धूप पड़ती है और घास को सुखा देती है, और उसका फूल फड़ जाता है, और उस की शोभा जाती रहती है; उसी प्रकार धनवान भी अपके मार्ग पर चलते चलते धूल में मिल जाएगा। |
| 12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. | 12 പരീക്ഷ സഹിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; അവൻ കൊള്ളാകുന്നവനായി തെളിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം കർത്താവു തന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത ജീവകിരീടം പ്രാപിക്കും. | 12 धन्य है वह मनुष्य, जो पक्कीझा में स्यिर रहता है; क्योंकि वह खरा निकलकर जीवन का वह मुकुट पाएगा, जिस की प्रतिज्ञा प्रभु ने अपके प्रेम करनेवालोंको दी है। |
| 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. | 13 പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്താൽ പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു ആരും പറയരുതു. ദൈവം ദോഷങ്ങളാൽ പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടാത്തവൻ ആകുന്നു; താൻ ആരെയും പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. | 13 जब किसी ही पक्कीझा हो, तो वह यह न कहे, कि मेरी पक्कीझा परमेश्वर की ओर से होती है; क्योंकि न तो बुरी बातोंसे परमेश्वर की पक्कीझा हो सकती है, और न वही किसी की पक्कीझा आप करता है। |
| 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. | 14 ഓരോരുത്തൻ പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു സ്വന്തമോഹത്താൽ ആകർഷിച്ചു വശീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയാൽ ആകുന്നു. | 14 परन्तु प्रत्थेक व्यक्ति अपक्की ही अभिलाषा में खिंचकर, और फंसकर पक्कीझा में पड़ता है। |
| 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. | 15 മോഹം ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു പാപത്തെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; പാപം മുഴുത്തിട്ടു മരണത്തെ പെറുന്നു. | 15 फिर अभिलाषा गर्भवती होकर पाप को जनता है और पाप बढ़ जाता है तो मृत्यु को उत्पन्न करता है। |
| 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. | 16 എന്റെ പ്രിയസഹോദരന്മാരേ, വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെടരുതു. | 16 हे मेरे प्रिय भाइयों, धोखा न खाओ। |
| 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. | 17 എല്ലാ നല്ല ദാനവും തികഞ്ഞ വരം ഒക്കെയും ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു വെളിച്ചങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവരുന്നു. അവന്നു വികാരമോ ഗതിഭേദത്താലുള്ള ആഛാദനമോ ഇല്ല. | 17 क्योंकि हर एक अच्छा वरदान और हर एक उत्तम दान ऊपर ही से है, और ज्योतियोंके पिता की ओर से मिलता है, जिस में न तो कोई परिवर्तन हो सकता है, ओर न अदल बदल के कारण उस पर छाया पड़ती है। |
| 18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. | 18 നാം അവന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളിൽ ഒരുവിധം ആദ്യഫലമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ഹേതുവായി സത്യത്തിന്റെ വചനത്താൽ നമ്മെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | 18 उस ने अपक्की ही इच्छा से हमें सत्य के वचन के द्वारा उत्पन्न किया, ताकि हम उस की सृष्टि की हुई वस्तुओं में से एक प्रकार के प्रयम फल हों।। |
| 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; | 19 പ്രിയസഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ അതു അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ. എന്നാൽ ഏതു മനുഷ്യനും കേൾപ്പാൻ വേഗതയും പറവാൻ താമസവും കോപത്തിന്നു താമസവുമുള്ളവൻ ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ. | 19 हे मेरे प्रिय भाइयो, यह बात तुम जानते हो: इसलिथे हर एक मनुष्य सुनने के लिथे तत्पर और बोलने में धीरा और क्रोध में धीमा हो। |
| 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness that God requires. | 20 മനുഷ്യന്റെ കോപം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നില്ല. | 20 क्योंकि मनुष्य का क्रोध परमेश्वर के धर्म का निर्वाह नहीं कर सकता है। |
| 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. | 21 ആകയാൽ എല്ലാ അഴുക്കും ദുഷ്ടതയുടെ ആധിക്യവും വിട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാക്കളെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ശക്തിയുള്ളതും ഉൾനട്ടതുമായ വചനം സൌമ്യതയോടെ കൈക്കൊൾവിൻ. | 21 इसलिथे सारी मलिनता और बैर भाव की बढ़ती को दूर करके, उस वचन को नम्रता से ग्रहण कर लो, जो ह्रृदय में बोया गया और जो तुम्हारे प्राणोंका उद्धार कर सकता है। |
| 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. | 22 എങ്കിലും വചനം കേൾക്ക മാത്രം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ചതിക്കാതെ അതിനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവരായും ഇരിപ്പിൻ. | 22 परन्तु वचन पर चलनेवाले बनो, और केवल सुननेवाले ही नहीं जो अपके आप को धोखा देते हैं। |
| 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. | 23 ഒരുത്തൻ വചനം കേൾക്കുന്നവൻ എങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാത്തവനായിരുന്നാൽ അവൻ തന്റെ സ്വാഭാവിക മുഖം കണ്ണാടിയിൽ നോക്കുന്ന ആളോടു ഒക്കുന്നു. | 23 क्योंकि जो कोई वचन का सुननेवाला हो, और उस पर चलनेवाला न हो, तो वह उस मनुष्य के समान है जो अपना स्वाभाविक मुंह दर्पण में देखता है। |
| 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. | 24 അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ കണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു താൻ ഇന്ന രൂപം ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉടനെ മറന്നുപോകുന്നു. | 24 इसलिथे कि वह अपके आप को देखकर चला जाता, और तुरन्त भूल जाता है कि मैं कैसा या। |
| 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. | 25 സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ തികഞ്ഞ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉറ്റുനോക്കി അതിൽ നിലനില്ക്കുന്നവനോ കേട്ടു മറക്കുന്നവനല്ല, പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നവനായി താൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ ആകും. | 25 पर जो व्यक्ति स्वतंत्रता की सिद्ध व्यवस्या पर ध्यान करता रहता है, वह अपके काम में इसलिथे आशीष पाएगा कि सुनकर नहीं, पर वैसा ही काम करता है। |
| 26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. | 26 നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ തന്റെ നാവിന്നു കടിഞ്ഞാണിടാതെ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ വഞ്ചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു താൻ ഭക്തൻ എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ ഭക്തി വ്യർത്ഥം അത്രേ. | 26 यदि कोई अपके आप को भक्त समझे, और अपक्की जीभ पर लगाम न दे, पर अपके ह्रृदय को धोखा दे, तो उस की भक्ति व्यर्य है। |
| 27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. | 27 പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ശുദ്ധവും നിർമ്മലവുമായുള്ള ഭക്തിയോ: അനാഥരെയും വിധവമാരെയും അവരുടെ സങ്കടത്തിൽ ചെന്നു കാണുന്നതും ലോകത്താലുള്ള കളങ്കം പറ്റാതവണ്ണം തന്നെത്താൻ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നതും ആകുന്നു. | 27 हमारे परमेश्वर और पिता के निकट शुद्ध और निर्मल भक्ति यह है, कि अनायोंओर विधवाओं के क्लेश में उन की सुधि लें, और अपके आप को संसार से निष्कलंक रखें।। |
