| 2 He had two wives. The name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other, Peninnah. | 7 So it went on year by year. As often as she went up to the house of the LORD, she used to provoke her. | 8 And Elkanah, her husband, said to her, "Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart sad? Am I not more to you than ten sons?" | 8 അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എൽക്കാനാ അവളോടു: ഹന്നേ, നീ എന്തിന്നു കരയുന്നു? എന്തിന്നു പട്ടിണികിടക്കുന്നു? നീ വ്യസനിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പത്തു പുത്രന്മാരെക്കാൾ നന്നല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 8 इसलिथे उसके पति एल्काना ने उस से कहा, हे हन्ना, तू क्योंरोती है? और खाना क्योंनहीं खाती? और मेरा मन क्योंउदास है? क्या तेरे लिथे मैं दस बेटोंसे भी अच्छा नहीं हूं? |
| 9 After they had eaten and drunk in Shiloh, Hannah rose. | 10 She was deeply distressed and prayed to the LORD and wept bitterly. | 10 അവൾ മനോവ്യസനത്തോടെ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു വളരെ കരഞ്ഞു. | 10 और यह मन में व्याकुल होकर यहोवा से प्रार्यना करने और बिलख बिलखकर रोने लगी। |
| 11 And she vowed a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head." | 11 അവൾ ഒരു നേർച്ചനേർന്നു; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, അടിയന്റെ സങ്കടം നോക്കി അടിയനെ ഓർക്കയും അടിയനെ മറക്കാതെ ഒരു പുരുഷസന്താനത്തെ നല്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ അടിയൻ അവനെ അവന്റെ ജീവപര്യന്തം യഹോവെക്കു കൊടുക്കും; അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ക്ഷൌരക്കത്തി തൊടുകയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 11 और उस ने यह मन्नत मानी, कि हे सेनाओं के यहोवा, यदि तू अपक्की दासी के दु:ख पर सचमुच दृष्टि करे, और मेरी सुधि ले, और अपक्की दासी को भूल न जाए, और अपक्की दासी को पुत्र दे, तो मैं उसे उसके जीवन भर के लिथे यहोवा को अर्पण करूंगी, और उसके सिर पर छुरा फिरने न पाएगा। |
| 12 As she continued praying before the LORD, Eli observed her mouth. | 12 ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏലി അവളുടെ വായെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കി. | 12 जब वह यहोवा के साम्हने ऐसी प्रार्यना कर रही यी, तब एली उसके मुंह की ओर ताक रहा या। |
| 13 Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, and her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli took her to be a drunken woman. | 13 ഹന്നാ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു സംസാരിച്ചതിനാൽ അവളുടെ അധരം അനങ്ങിയതല്ലാതെ ശബ്ദം കേൾപ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു; ആകയാൽ അവൾക്കു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഏലിക്കു തോന്നിപ്പോയി. | 13 हन्ना मन ही मन कह रही यी; उसके होंठ तो हिलते थे परन्तु उसका शब्द न सुन पड़ता या; इसलिथे एली ने समझा कि वह नशे में है। |
| 14 And Eli said to her, "How long will you go on being drunk? Put away your wine from you." | 14 ഏലി അവളോടു: നീ എത്രത്തോളം ലഹരി പിടിച്ചിരിക്കും? നിന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 14 तब एली ने उस से कहा, तू कब तक नशे में रहेगी? अपना नशा उतार। |
| 15 But Hannah answered, "No, my lord, I am a woman troubled in spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before the LORD. | 15 അതിന്നു ഹന്നാ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല, യജമാനനേ; ഞാൻ മനോവ്യസനമുള്ളൊരു സ്ത്രീ; ഞാൻ വീഞ്ഞോ മദ്യമോ കുടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം പകരുകയത്രേ ചെയ്തതു. | 15 हन्ना ने कहा, नहीं, हे मेरे प्रभु, मैं तो दु:खिया हूं; मैं ने न तो दाखमधु पिया है और न मदिरा, मैं ने अपके मन की बात खोलकर यहोवा से कही है। |
| 16 Do not regard your servant as a worthless woman, for all along I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation." | 16 അടിയനെ ഒരു നീചസ്ത്രീയായി വിചാരിക്കരുതേ; അടിയൻ സങ്കടത്തിന്റെയും വ്യസനത്തിന്റെയും ആധിക്യംകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു സംസാരിച്ചതു. | 16 अपक्की दासी को ओछी स्त्री न जान जो कुछ मैं ने अब तक कहा है, वह बहुत ही शोकित होने और चिढ़ाई जाने के कारण कहा है। |

| 18 And she said, "Let your servant find favor in your eyes." Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. | 18 അടിയന്നു തൃക്കണ്ണിൽ കൃപ ലഭിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു; അവളുടെ മുഖം പിന്നെ വാടിയതുമില്ല. | 18 उसे ने कहा, तेरी दासी तेरी दृष्टि में अनुग्रह पाए। तब वह स्त्री चक्की गई और खाना खाया, और उसका मुंह फिर उदास न रहा। |
| 19 They rose early in the morning and worshiped before the LORD; then they went back to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. | 19 അനന്തരം അവർ അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചശേഷം രാമയിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി. എന്നാൽ എൽക്കാനാ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഹന്നയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; യഹോവ അവളെ ഓർത്തു. | 19 बिहान को वे सवेरे उठ यहोवा को दण्डवत् करके रामा में अपके घर लौट गए। और एलकाना अपक्की स्त्री हन्ना के पास गया, और यहोवा ने उसकी सुधि ली; |
| 20 And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, "I have asked for him from the LORD." | 20 ഒരു ആണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഹന്നാ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഞാൻ അവനെ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുവാങ്ങി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു ശമൂവേൽ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു. | 20 तब हन्ना गर्भवती हुई और समय पर उसके एक पुत्र हुआ, और उसका नाम शमूएल रखा, क्योंकि वह कहने लगी, मैं ने यहोवा से मांगकर इसे पाया है। |
| 21 The man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer to the LORD the yearly sacrifice and to pay his vow. | 21 പിന്നെ എൽക്കാനാ എന്ന പുരുഷനും അവന്റെ കുടുംബമൊക്കെയും യഹോവെക്കു വർഷാന്തരയാഗവും നേർച്ചയും കഴിപ്പാൻ പോയി. | 21 फिर एल्काना अपके पूरे घराने समेत यहोवा के साम्हने प्रति वर्ष की मेलबलि चढ़ाने और अपक्की मन्नत पूरी करने के लिथे गया। |
| 22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, "As soon as the child is weaned, I will bring him, so that he may appear in the presence of the LORD and dwell there forever." | 22 എന്നാൽ ഹന്നാ കൂടെപോയില്ല; അവൾ ഭർത്താവിനോടു: ശിശുവിന്റെ മുലകുടി മാറട്ടെ; പിന്നെ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ചെന്നു അവിടെ എന്നു പാർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവനെയും കൊണ്ടുപോരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 22 परन्तु हन्ना अपके पति से यह कहकर घर में रह गई, कि जब बालक का दूध छूट जाएगा तब मैं उसको ले जाऊंगी, कि वह यहोवा को मुंह दिखाए, और वहां सदा बना रहे। |
| 23 Elkanah her husband said to her, "Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him; only, may the LORD establish his word." So the woman remained and nursed her son until she weaned him. | 23 അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എൽക്കാനാ അവളോടു: നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെയാകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ മുലകുടിമാറുംവരെ താമസിക്ക; യഹോവ തന്റെ വചനം നിവർത്തിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൾ വീട്ടിൽ താമസിച്ചു മുലകുടി മാറുംവരെ മകന്നു മുലകൊടുത്തു. | 23 उसके पति एलकाना ने उस से कहा, जो तुझे भला लगे वही कर, जब तक तू उसका दूध न छुड़ाए तब तक यहीं ठहरी रह; केवल इतना हो कि यहोवा अपना वचन पूरा करे। इसलिथे वह स्त्री वहीं घर पर रह गई और अपके पुत्र के दूध छुटने के समय तक उसको पिलाती रही। |
| 24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and she brought him to the house of the LORD at Shiloh. | 26 And she said, "Oh, my lord! As you live, my lord, I am the woman who was standing here in your presence, praying to the LORD. | 26 അവൾ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യജമാനനേ; യജമാനനാണ, യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഇവിടെ സമീപത്തു നിന്നിരുന്ന സ്ത്രീ ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു. | 26 तब हन्ना ने कहा, हे मेरे प्रभु, तेरे जीवन की शपय, हे मेरे प्रभु, मैं वही स्त्री हूं जो तेरे पास यहीं खड़ी होकर यहोवा से प्रार्यना करती यी। |
| 27 For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him. | 27 ഈ ബാലന്നായിട്ടു ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു; ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു കഴിച്ച അപേക്ഷ യഹോവ എനിക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. | 27 यह वही बालक है जिसके लिथे मैं ने प्रार्यना की यी; और यहोवा ने मुझे मुंह मांगा वर दिया है। |
| 28 Therefore I have lent him to the LORD. As long as he lives, he is lent to the LORD."And he worshiped the LORD there. | 28 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനെ യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ജീവപര്യന്തം യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിതനായിരിക്കും. അവർ അവിടെ യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു. | 28 इसी लिथे मैं भी उसे यहोवा को अर्पण कर देती हूं; कि यह अपके जीवन भर यहोवा ही का बना रहे। तब उस ने वहीं यहोवा को दण्डवत् किया।। |
