| 2 Therefore David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" | 4 Then David inquired of the LORD again. | 5 And David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines and brought away their livestock and struck them with a great blow. | 7 Now it was told Saul that David had come to Keilah. | 8 And Saul summoned all the people to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men. | 8 പിന്നെ ശൌൽ ദാവീദിനേയും അവന്റെ ആളുകളെയും വളയേണ്ടതിന്നു കെയീലയിലേക്കു പോകുവാൻ സകലജനത്തേയും യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി. | 8 तब शाऊल ने अपक्की सारी सेना को लड़ाई के लिथे बुलवाया, कि कीला को जाकर दाऊद और उसके जनोंको घेर ले। |
| 9 David knew that Saul was plotting harm against him. | 11 Will the men of Keilah surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? O LORD, the God of Israel, please tell your servant." | 12 Then David said, "Will the men of Keilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul?" | 13 Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah, and they went wherever they could go. | 14 And David remained in the strongholds in the wilderness, in the hill country of the Wilderness of Ziph. | 15 David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. David was in the Wilderness of Ziph at Horesh. | 15 തന്റെ ജീവനെ തേടി ശൌൽ പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ദാവീദ് കണ്ടു; അന്നു ദാവീദ് സീഫ് മരുഭൂമിയിലെ ഒരു കാട്ടിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. | 15 और दाऊद ने जान लिया कि शाऊल मेरे प्राण की खोज में निकला है। और दाऊद जीप नाम जंगल के होरेश नाम स्यान में या; |
| 16 And Jonathan, Saul's son, rose and went to David at Horesh, and strengthened his hand in God. | 16 അനന്തരം ശൌലിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാഥാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ആ കാട്ടിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനെ ദൈവത്തിൽ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി അവനോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ, | 16 कि शाऊल का पुत्र योनातन उठकर उसके पास होरेश में गया, और परमेश्वर की चर्चा करके उसको ढाढ़स दिलाया। |
| 17 And he said to him, "Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. | 18 And the two of them made a covenant before the LORD. | 19 Then the Ziphites went up to Saul at Gibeah, saying, "Is not David hiding among us in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hachilah, which is south of Jeshimon? | 19 അനന്തരം സീഫ്യർ ഗിബെയയിൽ ശൌലിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ദാവീദ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സമീപം മരുഭൂമിക്കു തെക്കുള്ള ഹഖീലാമലയിലെ വനദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. | 19 तब जीपी लोग गिबा में शाऊल के पास जाकर कहने लगे, दाऊद तो हमारे पास होरेश के गढ़ोंमें, अर्यात् उस हकीला नाम पहाड़ी पर छिपा रहता है, जो यशीमोन के दक्खिन की ओर है। |
| 20 Now come down, O king, according to all your heart's desire to come down, and our part shall be to surrender him into the king's hand." | 20 ആകയാൽ രാജാവേ, തിരുമനസ്സിലെ ആഗ്രഹംപോലെ വന്നുകൊള്ളേണം; അവനെ രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുതരുന്ന കാര്യം ഞങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 20 इसलिथे अब, हे राजा, तेरी जो इच्छा आने की है, तो आ; और उसको राजा के हाथ में पकड़वा देना हमारा काम होगा। |

| 22 Go, make yet more sure. | 23 See therefore and take note of all the lurking places where he hides, and come back to me with sure information. Then I will go with you. | 24 And they arose and went to Ziph ahead of Saul.Now David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the Arabah to the south of Jeshimon. | 24 അങ്ങനെ അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ശൌലിന്നു മുമ്പെ സീഫിലേക്കു പോയി; എന്നാൽ ദാവീദും അവന്റെ ആളുകളും മരുഭൂമിയുടെ തെക്കു അരാബയിലെ മാവോൻമരുവിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. | 24 तब वे चलकर शाऊल से पहिले जीप को गए। परन्तु दाऊद अपके जनोंसमेत माओन नाम जंगल में चला गया या, जो अराबा में यशीमोन के दक्खिन की ओर है। |
| 25 And Saul and his men went to seek him. And David was told, so he went down to the rock and lived in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon. | 25 ശൌലും അവന്റെ പടജ്ജനവും അവനെ തിരയുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു. അതു ദാവീദിന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ മാവോൻമരുവിലെ സേലയിൽ ചെന്നു താമസിച്ചു. ശൌൽ അതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മാവോൻമരുവിൽ ദാവീദിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു. | 25 तब शाऊल अपके जनोंको साय लेकर उसकी खोज में गया। इसका समाचार पाकर दाऊद पर्वत पर से उतरके माओन जंगल में रहने लगा। यह सुन शाऊल ने माओन जंगल में दाऊद का पीछा किया। |
| 26 Saul went on one side of the mountain, and David and his men on the other side of the mountain. And David was hurrying to get away from Saul. | 28 So Saul returned from pursuing after David and went against the Philistines. Therefore that place was called the Rock of Escape. | 28 ഉടനെ ശൌൽ ദാവീദിനെ പിന്തുടരുന്നതു വിട്ടു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ നേരെ പോയി; ആകയാൽ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു സേലഹമ്മാഹ്ലെക്കോത്ത് എന്നു പേരായി. | 28 यह सुन शाऊल दाऊद का पीछा छोड़कर पलिश्तियोंका साम्हना करने को चला; इस कारण उस स्यान का नाम सेलाहम्महलकोत पड़ा। |
| 29 And David went up from there and lived in the strongholds of Engedi. | 29 ദാവീദോ അവിടം വിട്ടു കയറിപ്പോയി ഏൻ-ഗെദിയിലെ ദുർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽ ചെന്നു പാർത്തു. | 29 वहां से दाऊद चढ़कर एनगदी के गढ़ोंमें रहने लगा।। |
