| 1 Now Samuel died. | 2 Then David rose and went down to the wilderness of Paran. And there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel. The man was very rich; he had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. | 3 Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. | 4 David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep. | 4 നാബാലിന്നു ആടുകളെ രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്തരം ഉണ്ടെന്നു ദാവീദ് മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കേട്ടു. | 4 जब दाऊद ने जंगल में समाचार पाया, कि नाबाल अपक्की भेड़ोंका ऊन कतर रहा है; |
| 5 So David sent ten young men. And David said to the young men, "Go up to Carmel, and go to Nabal and greet him in my name. | 5 ദാവീദ് പത്തു ബാല്യക്കാരെ അയച്ചു, അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ കർമ്മേലിൽ നാബാലിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു എന്റെ പേരിൽ അവന്നു വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലി: | 5 तब दाऊद ने दस जवानोंको वहां भेज दिया, ओर दाऊद ने उन जवानोंसे कहा, कि कर्मेल में नाबाल के पास जाकर मेरी ओर से उसका कुशलझेम पूछो। |

| 7 I hear that you have shearers. | 9 When David's young men came, they said all this to Nabal in the name of David, and then they waited. | 9 ദാവീദിന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാർ ചെന്നു നാബാലിനോടു ഈ വാക്കുകളെല്ലാം ദാവീദിന്റെ പേരിൽ അറിയിച്ചു കാത്തുനിന്നു. | 9 ऐसी ऐसी बातें दाऊद के जवान जाकर उसके नाम से नाबाल को सुनाकर चुप रहे। |
| 10 And Nabal answered David's servants, "Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants these days who are breaking away from their masters. | 10 നാബാൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു: ദാവീദ് ആർ? യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകൻ ആർ? യജമാനന്മാരെ വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കളയുന്ന ദാസന്മാർ ഇക്കാലത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടു. | 10 नाबाल ने दाऊद के जनोंको उत्तर देकर उन से कहा, दाऊद कौन है? यिशै का पुत्र कौन है? आज कल बहुत से दास अपके अपके स्वामी के पास से भाग जाते हैं। |
| 11 Shall I take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to men who come from I do not know where?" | 11 ഞാൻ എന്റെ അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും എന്റെ ആടുകളെ രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്നവർക്കായി ഒരുക്കിയ മാംസവും എടുത്തു എവിടുത്തുകാർ എന്നു അറിയാത്തവർക്കു കൊടുക്കുമോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. | 11 क्या मैं अपक्की रोटी-पानी और जो पशु मैं ने अपके कतरनेवालोंके लिथे मारे हैं लेकर ऐसे लोगोंको दे दूं, जिनको मैं नहीं जानता कि कहां के हैं? |
| 12 So David's young men turned away and came back and told him all this. | 12 ദാവീദിന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാർ മടങ്ങിവന്നു വിവരമൊക്കെയും അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു. | 12 तब दाऊद के जवानोंने लौटकर अपना मार्ग लिया, और लौटकर उसको से सब बातें ज्योंकी त्योंसुना दीं। |
| 13 And David said to his men, "Every man strap on his sword!" And every man of them strapped on his sword. David also strapped on his sword. | 19 And she said to her young men, "Go on before me; behold, I come after you." | 22 God do so to the enemies of David and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him." | 22 അവന്നുള്ള സകലത്തിലും പുരുഷപ്രജയായ ഒന്നിനെയെങ്കിലും പുലരുംവരെ ഞാൻ ജീവനോടെ വെച്ചേച്ചാൽ ദൈവം ദാവീദിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. | 22 यदि बिहान को उजियाला होने तक उस जन के समस्त लोगोंमें से एक लड़के को भी मैं जीवित छोड़ूं, तो परमेश्वर मेरे सब शत्रुओं से ऐसा ही, वरन इस से भी अधिक करे। |
| 23 When Abigail saw David, she hurried and got down from the donkey and fell before David on her face and bowed to the ground. | 23 അബീഗയിൽ ദാവീദിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ കഴുതപ്പുറത്തുനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി ദാവീദിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. | 23 दाऊद को देख अबीगैल फुर्ती करके गदहे पर से उतर पक्की, और दाऊद के सम्मुख मुंह के बल भूमि पर गिरकर दण्डवत् की। |
| 24 She fell at his feet and said, "On me alone, my lord, be the guilt. Please let your servant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your servant. | 24 അവൾ അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വീണു പറഞ്ഞതു: യജമാനനേ, കുറ്റം എന്റെമേൽ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അടിയൻ ഒന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; അടിയന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ കേൾക്കേണമേ. | 24 फिर वह उसके पांव पर गिरके कहने लगी, हे मेरे प्रभु, यह अपराण मेरे ही सिर पर हो; तेरी दासी तुझ से कुछ कहना चाहती है, और तू अपक्की दासी की बातोंको सुन ले। |
| 25 Let not my lord regard this worthless fellow, Nabal, for as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and folly is with him. But I your servant did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent. | 25 ദുസ്സ്വഭാവിയായ ഈ നാബാലിനെ യജമാനൻ ഗണ്യമാക്കരുതേ; അവൻ തന്റെ പേർപോലെ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു; നാബാൽ എന്നല്ലോ അവന്റെ പേർ; ഭോഷത്വം അത്രേ അവന്റെ പക്കൽ ഉള്ളതു. അടിയനോ, യജമാനൻ അയച്ച ബാല്യക്കാരെ കണ്ടിരുന്നില്ല. | 25 मेरा प्रभु उस दुष्ट नाबाल पर चित्त न लगाए; क्योंकि जैसा उसका नाम है वैसा ही वह आप है; उसका नाम तो नाबाल है, और सचमुच उस में मूढ़ता पाई जाती है; परन्तु मुझ तेरी दासी ने अपके प्रभु के जवानोंको जिन्हें तू ने भेजा या न देखा या। |
| 26 Now then, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, because the LORD has restrained you from bloodguilt and from saving with your own hand, now then let your enemies and those who seek to do evil to my lord be as Nabal. | 26 ആകയാൽ യജമാനനേ, യഹോവയാണ, നിന്നാണ, രക്തപാതകവും സ്വന്തകയ്യാൽ പ്രതികാരവും ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം യഹോവ നിന്നെ തടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളും യജമാനന്നു ദോഷം വിചാരിക്കുന്നവരും നാബാലിനെപ്പോലെ ആകട്ടെ. | 26 और अब, हे मेरे प्रभु, यहोवा के जीवन की शपय और तेरे जीवन की शपय, कि यहोवा ने जो तुझे खून से और अपके हाथ के द्वारा अपना पलटा लेने से रोक रखा है, इसलिथे अब तेरे शत्रु और मेरे प्रभु की हाति के चाहनेवाले नाबाल ही के समान ठहरें। |
| 27 And now let this present that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord. | 27 ഇപ്പോൾ യജമാനന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അടിയൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാഴ്ച യജമാനന്റെ പരിചാരകരായ ബാല്യക്കാർക്കു ഇരിക്കട്ടെ. | 27 और अब यह भेंट जो तेरी दासी अपके प्रभु के पास लाई है, उन जवानोंको दी जाए जो मेरे प्रभु के साय चालते हैं। |
| 28 Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD, and evil shall not be found in you so long as you live. | 28 അടിയന്റെ കുറ്റം ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ, യഹോവ യജമാനന്നു സ്ഥിരമായോരു ഭവനം പണിയും; യഹോവയുടെ യുദ്ധങ്ങളെയല്ലോ യജമാനൻ നടത്തുന്നതു. ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും നിന്നിൽ ദോഷം കാണുകയില്ല. | 28 अपक्की दासी का अपराध झमा कर; क्योंकि यहोवा निश्चय मेरे प्रभु का घर बसाएगा और स्यिर करेगा, इसलिथे कि मेरा प्रभु यहोवा की ओर से लड़ता है; और जन्म भर तुझ में कोई बुराई नहीं पाई जाएगी। |
| 29 If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the LORD your God. And the lives of your enemies he shall sling out as from the hollow of a sling. | 29 മനുഷ്യൻ നിന്നെ പിന്തുർന്നു നിനക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റാലും യജമാനന്റെ പ്രാണൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പക്കൽ ജീവഭാണ്ഡത്തിൽ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ പ്രാണങ്ങളെയോ അവൻ കവിണയുടെ തടത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്നപോലെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും. | 29 और यद्यपि एक मनुष्य तेरा पीछा करनेऔर तेरे प्राण का ग्राहक होने को उठा है, तौभी मेरे प्रभु का प्राण तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा की जीवनरूपी गठरी में बन्धा रहेगा, और तेरे शत्रुओं के प्राणोंको वह मानो गोफन में रखकर फेंक देगा। |
| 30 And when the LORD has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you and has appointed you prince over Israel, | 30 എന്നാൽ യഹോവ യജമാനന്നു വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ നന്മയും നിവൃത്തിച്ചുതന്നു നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവാക്കിവെക്കുമ്പോൾ | 30 इसलिथे जब यहोवा मेरे प्रभु के लिथे यह समस्त भलाई करेगा जो उस ने तेरे विषय में कही है, और तुझे इस्राएल पर प्रधान करके ठहराएगा, |
| 31 my lord shall have no cause of grief or pangs of conscience for having shed blood without cause or for my lord taking vengeance himself. | 35 Then David received from her hand what she had brought him. And he said to her, "Go up in peace to your house. | 39 When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, "Blessed be the LORD who has avenged the insult I received at the hand of Nabal, and has kept back his servant from wrongdoing. The LORD has returned the evil of Nabal on his own head."
