| 2 And the king said to Ziba, "Why have you brought these?" | 3 And the king said, "And where is your master's son?" | 4 Then the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that belonged to Mephibosheth is now yours." | 8 The LORD has avenged on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the LORD has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. | 9 Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? | 11 And David said to Abishai and to all his servants, "Behold, my own son seeks my life; how much more now may this Benjaminite! | 12 It may be that the LORD will look on the wrong done to me, and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing today." | 12 പക്ഷേ യഹോവ എന്റെ സങ്കടം നോക്കി ഇന്നത്തെ ഇവന്റെ ശാപത്തിന്നു പകരം എനിക്കു അനുഗ്രഹം നല്കും. | 12 कदाचित् यहोवा इस उपद्रव पर, जो मुझ पर हो रहा है, दृष्टि करके आज के शाप की सन्ती मुझे भला बदला दे। |

| 14 And the king, and all the people who were with him, arrived weary at the Jordan. And there he refreshed himself. | 14 രാജാവും കൂടെയുള്ള സകല ജനവും ക്ഷീണിച്ചവരായി എത്തി അവിടെ ആശ്വസിച്ചു. | 14 निदान राजा अपके संग के सब लोगोंसमेत अपके ठिकाने पर यका हुआ पहुंचा; और वहां विश्रम किया। |
| 15 Now Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him. | 15 എന്നാൽ അബ്ശാലോമും യിസ്രായേല്യരായ ജനമൊക്കെയും അഹീഥോഫെലുമായി യെരൂശലേമിൽ എത്തി. | 15 अबशालोम सब इस्राएली लोगोंसमेत यरूशलेम को आया, और उसके संग अहीतोपेल भी आया। |
| 16 And when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, came to Absalom, Hushai said to Absalom, "Long live the king! | 17 And Absalom said to Hushai, "Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?" | 17 അപ്പോൾ അബ്ശാലോം ഹൂശായിയോടു: ഇതാകുന്നുവോ നിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോടു നിനക്കുള്ള സ്നേഹം? സ്നേഹിതനോടുകൂടെ പോകാതിരുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. | 17 अबशालोम ने उस से कहा, क्या यह तेरी प्रीति है जो तू अपके मित्र से रखता है? तू अपके मित्र के संग क्योंनहीं गया? |
| 18 And Hushai said to Absalom, "No, for whom the LORD and this people and all the men of Israel have chosen, his I will be, and with him I will remain. | 18 അതിന്നു ഹൂശായി അബ്ശാലോമിനോടു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല, യഹോവയും ഈ ജനവും യിസ്രായേല്യരൊക്കെയും ആരെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നുവോ അവന്നുള്ളവൻ ആകന്നു ഞാൻ; അവന്റെ പക്ഷത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ഇരിക്കും. | 18 हूशै ने अबशालोम से कहा, ऐसा नही; जिसको यहोवा और वे लोग, क्या वरन सब इस्राएली लोग चाहें, उसी का मैं हूं, और उसी के संग मैं रहूंगा। |
| 19 And again, whom should I serve? Should it not be his son? As I have served your father, so I will serve you." | 19 ഞാൻ ആരെ ആകുന്നു സേവിക്കേണ്ടതു? അവന്റെ മകനെ അല്ലയോ? ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനെ സേവിച്ചതുപോലെ നിന്നെയും സേവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 19 और फिर मैं किसकी सेवा करूं? क्या उसके पुत्र के साम्हने रहकर सेवा न करूं? जैसा मैं तेरे पिता के साम्हने रहकर सेवा करता या, वैसा ही तेरे साम्हने रहकर सेवा करूंगा। |

| 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof.
