| 2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. | 8 And David said on that day, "Whoever would strike the Jebusites, let him get up the water shaft to attack 'the lame and the blind,' who are hated by David's soul." | 9 And David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. | 17 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. | 19 And David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?" | 20 And David came to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. And he said, "The LORD has burst through my enemies before me like a bursting flood." | 24 And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, for then the LORD has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines." | 24 ബാഖാവൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രങ്ങളിൽകൂടി അണിനടക്കുന്ന ഒച്ചപോലെ കേൾക്കും; അപ്പോൾ വേഗത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുക; ഫെലിസ്ത്യസൈന്യത്തെ തോല്പിപ്പാൻ യഹോവ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി. | 24 और जब तूत वृझोंकी फुनगियोंमें से सेना के चलने की सी आहट तुझे सुनाई पके, तब यह जानकर फुर्ती करना, कि यहोवा पलिश्तियोंकी सेना को मारने को मेरे आगे अभी पधारा है। |
| 25 And David did as the LORD commanded him, and struck down the Philistines from Geba to Gezer. | 25 യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ദാവീദ് ചെയ്തു, ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ ഗേബമുതൽ ഗേസെർവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു. | 25 यहोवा की इस आज्ञा के अनुसार दाऊद गेबा से लेकर गेजेर तक पलिश्तियोंको मारता गया। |
