| 1 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal family. | 1 അഹസ്യാവിന്റെ അമ്മയായ അഥല്യാ തന്റെ മകൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു രാജസന്തതിയെ ഒക്കെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചു. | 1 जब अहज्याह की माता अतल्याह ने देखा, कि मेरा पुत्र मर गया, तब उस ने पूरे राजवंश को नाश कर डाला। |
| 2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king's sons who were being put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. | 3 And he remained with her six years, hidden in the house of the LORD, while Athaliah reigned over the land. | 3 അവനെ അവളോടുകൂടെ ആറു സംവത്സരം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ അഥല്യാ ദേശം വാണു. | 3 और वह उसके पास यहोवा के भवन में छ:वर्ष छिपा रहा, और अतल्याह देश पर राज्य करती रही। |
| 4 But in the seventh year Jehoiada sent and brought the captains of the Carites and of the guards, and had them come to him in the house of the LORD. And he made a covenant with them and put them under oath in the house of the LORD, and he showed them the king's son. | 4 ഏഴാം ആണ്ടിൽ യെഹോയാദാ ആളയച്ചു കാര്യരുടെയും അകമ്പടികളുടെയും ശതാധിപന്മാരെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ വരുത്തി അവരോടു സഖ്യത ചെയ്തു; അവൻ അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചിട്ടു അവർക്കു രാജകുമാരെനെ കാണിച്ചു അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: | 4 सातवें वर्ष में यहोयादा ने जल्लादोंऔर पहरुओं के शतपतियोंको बुला भेजा, और उनको यहोवा के भवन में अपके पास ले आया; और उन से वाचा बान्धी और यहोवा के भवन में उनको शपय खिलाकर, उनको राजपुत्र दिखाया। |
| 5 And he commanded them, "This is the thing that you shall do: one third of you, those who come off duty on the Sabbath and guard the king's house | 5 നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യേണ്ടുന്ന കാര്യം ആവിതു: ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തവണമാറിവരുന്ന നിങ്ങളിൽ മൂന്നിൽ ഒരു ഭാഗം രാജധാനിക്കും | 5 और उस ने उन्हें आज्ञा दी, कि एक काम करो : अर्यात् तुम में से एक तिहाई लोग जो विश्रमदिन को आनेवाले हों, वह राजभवन के पहरे की चौकसी करें। |

| 7 And the two divisions of you, which come on duty in force on the Sabbath and guard the house of the LORD on behalf of the king, | 7 ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തവണ മാറിപോകുന്ന നിങ്ങളിൽ രണ്ടു കൂട്ടങ്ങൾ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ കാവലായിരിക്കേണം. | 7 और तुम्हारे दो दल अर्यात् जितने विश्रम दिन को बाहर जानेवाले होंवह राजा के आसपास होकर यहोवा के भवन की चौकसी करें। |
| 8 shall surround the king, each with his weapons in his hand. And whoever approaches the ranks is to be put to death. Be with the king when he goes out and when he comes in." | 8 നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും താന്താന്റെ ആയുധം ധരിച്ചു രാജാവിന്റെ ചുറ്റും നിൽക്കേണം; അണിക്കകത്തു കടക്കുന്നവനെ കൊന്നുകളയേണം; രാജാവു പോകയും വരികയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം. യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ശതാധിപന്മാർ ചെയ്തു; | 8 और तुम अपके अपके हाथ में हयियार लिथे हुए राजा के चारोंओर रहना, और जो कोई पांतियोंके भीतर घुसना चाहे वह मार डाला जाए, और तुम राजा के आते-जाते समय उसके संग रहना। |
| 9 The captains did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded, and they each brought his men who were to go off duty on the Sabbath, with those who were to come on duty on the Sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest. | 9 അവർ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തവണമാറി വരുന്നവരിലും ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തവണമാറി പോകുന്നവരിലും താന്താന്റെ ആളുകളെ യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. | 9 यहाथादा याजक की इन सब आज्ञाओं के अनुसार शतपतियोंने किया। वे विश्रमदिन को आनेवाले और जानेवाले दोनोंदलोंके अपके अपके जनोंको संग लेकर यहोयादा याजक के पास गए। |
| 10 And the priest gave to the captains the spears and shields that had been King David's, which were in the house of the LORD. | 10 പുരോഹിതൻ ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിന്റെ വകയായി യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കുന്തങ്ങളും പരിചകളും ശതാധിപന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തു. | 10 तब याजक ने शतपतियोंको राजा दाऊद के बर्छे, और ढालें जो यहोवा के भवन में यीं दे दीं। |
| 11 And the guards stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the south side of the house to the north side of the house, around the altar and the house on behalf of the king. | 11 അകമ്പടികൾ ഒക്കെയും കയ്യിൽ ആയുധവുമായി ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുവശംമുതൽ ഇടത്തുവശംവരെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും ആലയത്തിന്നും നേരെ രാജാവിന്റെ ചുറ്റും നിന്നു. | 11 इसलिथे वे पहरुए अपके अपके हाथ में हयियार लिए हुए भवन के दक्खिनी कोने से लेकर उत्तरी कोने तक वेदी और भवन के पास राजा के चारोंओर उसकी आड़ करके खड़े हुए। |
| 12 Then he brought out the king's son and put the crown on him and gave him the testimony. And they proclaimed him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, "Long live the king!" | 12 അവൻ രാജകുമാരനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു കിരീടും ധരിപ്പിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യപുസ്തകവും അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവനെ രാജാവാക്കി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിട്ടു കൈകൊട്ടി; രാജാവേ, ജയജയ എന്നു ആർത്തു. | 12 तब उस ने राजकुमार को बाहर लाकर उसके सिर पर मुकुट, और साझीपत्र धर दिया; तब लोगोंने उसका अभिषेक करके उसको राजा बनाया; फिर ताली बजा बजाकर बोल उठे, राजा जीवित रहे । |
| 13 When Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she went into the house of the LORD to the people. | 13 അഥല്യാ അകമ്പടികളുടെയും ജനത്തിന്റെയും ആരവം കേട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു. | 13 जब अतल्याह को पहरुओं और लोगोंका हलचल सुन पड़ा, तब वह उनके पास यहोवा के भवन में गई। |
| 14 And when she looked, there was the king standing by the pillar, according to the custom, and the captains and the trumpeters beside the king, and all the people of the land rejoicing and blowing trumpets. And Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, "Treason! Treason!" | 14 ആചാരപ്രകാരം തൂണിന്റെ അരികെ രാജാവും രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും കാഹളക്കാരും നില്ക്കുന്നതും ദേശത്തെ ജനം ഉല്ലസിച്ചു കാഹളം ഊതുന്നതും കണ്ടിട്ടു അഥല്യാ വസ്ത്രം കീറി: ദ്രോഹം, ദ്രോഹം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 14 और उस ने क्या देखा कि राजा रीति के अनुसार खम्भे के पास खड़ा है, और राजा के पास प्रधान और तुरही बजानेवाले खड़े हैं। और लोग आनन्द करते और तुरहियां बजा रहे हैं। तब अतल्याह अपके वस्त्र फाड़कर राजद्रोह राजद्रोह योंपुकारने लगी। |
| 15 Then Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains who were set over the army, "Bring her out between the ranks, and put to death with the sword anyone who follows her." For the priest said, "Let her not be put to death in the house of the LORD." | 15 അപ്പോൾ യെഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതൻ പടനായകന്മാരായ ശതാധിപന്മാർക്കു കല്പന കൊടുത്തു; അവളെ അണികളിൽകൂടി പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ; അവളെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവനെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലുവിൻ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു അവളെ കൊല്ലരുതു എന്നു പുരോഹിതൻ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. | 15 तब यहोयादा याजक ने दल के अधिक्कारनेी शतपतियोंको आज्ञा दी कि उसे अपक्की पांतियोंके बीच से निकाल ले जाओ; और जो कोई उसके पीछे चले उसे तलवार से मार डालो। क्योंकि याजक ने कहा, कि वह यहोवा के भवन में न मार डाली जाए। |
| 16 So they laid hands on her; and she went through the horses' entrance to the king's house, and there she was put to death. | 16 അവർ അവൾക്കു വഴി ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു; അവൾ കുതിരവാതിൽ വഴിയായി രാജധാനിയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവളെ അവിടെവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | 16 इसलिथे उन्होंने दोनोंओर से उसको जगह दी, और वह उस मार्ग के बीच से चक्की गई, जिस से घोड़े राजभवन में जाया करते थे; और वहां वह मार डाली गई। |
| 17 And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and people, that they should be the LORD's people, and also between the king and the people. | 17 അനന്തരം അവർ യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്നു യെഹോയാദാ യഹോവെക്കും രാജാവിന്നും ജനത്തിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേയും രാജാവിന്നും ജനത്തിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേയും നിയമം ചെയ്തു. | 17 तब यहोयादा ने यहोवा के, और राजा-प्रजा के बीच यहोवा की प्रजा होने की वाचा बन्धाई, और उस ने राजा और प्रजा के मध्य भी वाचा बन्धाई। |
| 18 Then all the people of the land went to the house of Baal and tore it down; his altars and his images they broke in pieces, and they killed Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest posted watchmen over the house of the LORD. | 18 പിന്നെ ദേശത്തെ ജനമൊക്കെയും ബാൽക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അതു ഇടിച്ചു അവന്റെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും അശേഷം ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; ബാലിന്റെ പുരോഹിതനായ മത്ഥാനെ ബിലപീഠങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നു കളഞ്ഞു. പുരോഹിതൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ കാര്യവിചാരകന്മാരെയും നിയമിച്ചു. | 18 तब सब लोगोंने बाल के भवन को जाकर ढा दिया, और उसकी वेदियां और मूरतें भली भंति तोड़ दीं; और मतान नाम बाल के याजक को वेदियोंके साम्हने ही घात किया। और याजक ने यहोवा के भवन पर अधिक्कारनेी ठहरा दिए। |
| 19 And he took the captains, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD, marching through the gate of the guards to the king's house. And he took his seat on the throne of the kings. | 19 അവൻ ശതാധിപന്മാരെയും കാര്യരെയും അകമ്പടികളെയും ദേശത്തെ സകല ജനത്തെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി രാജാവിനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറക്കി അകമ്പടികളുടെ പടിവാതിൽവഴിയായി രാജധാനിയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി; അവൻ രാജാസനം പ്രാപിച്ചു. | 19 तब वह शतपतियों, जल्लादोंऔर पहरुओं और सब लोगोंको साय लेकर राजा को यहोवा के भवन से नीचे ले गया, और पहरुओं के फाटक के मार्ग से राजभवन को पहुंचा दिया। और राजा राजगद्दी पर विराजमान हुआ। |
| 20 So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet after Athaliah had been put to death with the sword at the king's house. | 20 ദേശത്തിലെ സകല ജനവും സന്തോഷിച്ചു; നഗരം സ്വസ്ഥമായിരുന്നു; അഥല്യയെ അവർ രാജധാനിക്കരികെവെച്ചു വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. | 20 तब सब लोग आनन्दित हुए, और नगर में शान्ति हुई। अतल्याह तो राजभवन के पास तलवार से मार डाली गई यी। |
| 21 Jehoash was seven years old when he began to reign. | 21 യെഹോവാശ് രാജാവായപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഏഴു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. | 21 जब योआश राजा हुआ, उस समय वह सात पर्ष का या। |
