| 1 In the thirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah, that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. | 1 ആസയുടെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ മുപ്പത്താറാം ആണ്ടിൽ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ബയെശാ യെഹൂദെക്കു നേരെ വന്നു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ആസയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരത്തുപോക്കിന്നു ആരെയും സമ്മതിക്കാത്തവണ്ണം രാമയെ പണിതു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു. | 1 आसा के राज्य के छत्तीसवें वर्ष में इस्राएल के राजा बाशा ने यहूदा पर चढ़ाई की और रामा को इसलिथे दृढ़ किया, कि यहूदा के राजा आसा के पास कोई आने जाने न पाए। |
| 2 Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying, | 2 അപ്പോൾ ആസാ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെയും രാജധാനിയിലെയും ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും എടുത്തു ദമ്മേശെക്കിൽ വസിച്ച അരാം രാജാവായ ബെൻ-ഹദദിന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു: | 2 तब आस ने यहोवा के भवन और राजभवन के भणडारोंमें से चान्दी-सोना निकाल दमिश्कवासी अराम के राजा बेन्हदद के पास दूत भेजकर यह कहा, |
| 3 "There is a covenant between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you silver and gold. | 4 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. | 4 ബെൻ-ഹദദ് ആസാരാജാവിന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു തന്റെ സേനാധിപതിമാരെ യിസ്രായേൽപട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു നേരെ അയച്ചു; അവർ ഈയോനും ദാനും ആബേൽ-മയീമും നഫ്താലിയുടെ സകലസംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചടക്കി. | 4 बेन्हदद ने राजा आसा की यह बात मानकर, अपके दलोंके प्रधानोंसे इस्राएली नगरोंपर चढ़ाई करवाकर इय्योन, दान, आबेल्मैम और नप्ताली के सब भणडारवाले नगरोंको जीत लिया। |
| 5 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah and let his work cease. | 5 ബയെശാ അതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ രാമയെ പണിയുന്ന തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി നിർത്തിവെച്ചു. | 5 यह सुनकर बाशा ने रामा को दृढ़ करना छोड़ दिया, और अपना वह काम बन्द करा दिया। |
| 6 Then King Asa took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah. | 6 അപ്പോൾ ആസാരാജാവു യെഹൂദ്യരെ ഒക്കെയും കൂട്ടി, ബയെശാ പണിത രാമയുടെ കല്ലും മരവും എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി: അവൻ അവകൊണ്ടു ഗേബയും മിസ്പയും പണിതു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു. | 6 तब राजा आसा ने पूरे यहूदा देश को साय लिया और रामा के पत्यरोंऔर लकड़ी को, जिन से बासा काम करता या, उठा ले गया, और उन से उस ने गेवा, और मिस्पा को दृढ़ किया। |
| 7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. | 7 ആ കാലത്തു ദർശകനായ ഹനാനി യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ആസയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കാതെ അരാംരാജാവിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അരാംരാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു. | 7 उस समय हनानी दशीं यहूदा के राजा आसा के पास जाकर कहने लगा, तू ने जो अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा पर भरोसा नही रखा वरन अराम के राजा ही पर भरोसा रखा है, इस कारण अराम के राजा की सेना तेरे हाथ से बच गई है। |
| 8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, he gave them into your hand. | 8 കൂശ്യരും ലൂബ്യരും അനവധി രഥങ്ങളോടും കുതിരച്ചേവകരോടും കൂടിയ ഒരു മഹാസൈന്യമായിരുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നാൽ നീ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവരെ നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചുതന്നു. | 8 क्या कूशियोंऔर लूबियोंकी सेना बड़ी न यी, और क्या उस में बहुत ही रय, और सवार न थे? तौभी तू ने यहोवा पर भरोसा रखा या, इस कारण उस ने उनको तेरे हाथ में कर दिया। |
| 9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars." | 9 യഹോവയുടെ കണ്ണു തങ്കൽ ഏകാഗ്രചിത്തന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്നെത്താൻ ബലവാനെന്നു കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭൂമിയിലെല്ലാടവും ഊടാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതിൽ നീ ഭോഷത്വം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി നിനക്കു യുദ്ധങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകും. | 9 देख, यहोवा की दृष्टि सारी पृय्वी पर इसलिथे फिरती रहती है कि जिनका मन उसकी ओर निष्कमट रहता है, उनकी सहाथता में वह अपना सामर्य दिखाए। तूने यह काम मूर्खता से किया है, इसलिथे अब से तू लड़ाइयोंमे फंसा रहेगा। |
| 10 Then Asa was angry with the seer and put him in the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time. | 10 അപ്പോൾ ആസാ ദർശകനോടു ക്രുദ്ധിച്ചു അവനെ കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആക്കി; ഈ കാര്യംനിമിത്തം അവന്നു അവനോടു ഉഗ്രകോപമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ആ സമയത്തു ആസാ ജനത്തിൽ ചിലരെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു. | 10 तब आसा दशीं पर क्रोधित हुआ और उसे काठ में ठोंकवा दिया, क्योंकि वहउसकी ऐसी बात के कारण उस पर क्रोधित या। और उसी समय से आसा प्रजा के कुछ लोगोंको पीसने भी लगा। |
| 11 The acts of Asa, from first to last, are written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel. | 11 ആസയുടെ വൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ ആദ്യാവസാനം യെഹൂദയിലെയും യിസ്രായേലിലെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 11 आदि से लेकर अन्त तक आसा के काम यहूदा औ इस्राएल के राजाओं के वृत्तान्त में लिखे हैं। |
| 12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe. Yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but sought help from physicians. | 12 ആസെക്കു തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ മുപ്പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ കാലിൽ ദീനംപിടിച്ചു; ദീനം അതികഠിനമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ തന്റെ ദീനത്തിൽ യഹോവയെ അല്ല, വൈദ്യന്മാരെ അത്രേ അന്വേഷിച്ചതു. | 12 अपके राज्य के उनतीसवें वर्ष में आसा को पांव का रोग हुआ, और वह रोग अत्यन्त बढ़ गया, तौभी उस ने रोगी होकर यहोवा की नहीं वैद्योंही की शरण ली। |
| 13 And Asa slept with his fathers, dying in the forty-first year of his reign. | 13 ആസാ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാല്പത്തൊന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ മരിച്ചു. | 13 निदान आसा अपके राज्य के एकतालीसवें वर्ष में मरके अपके पुरखाओं के साय सो गया। |
| 14 They buried him in the tomb that he had cut for himself in the city of David. They laid him on a bier that had been filled with various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumer's art, and they made a very great fire in his honor. | 14 അവൻ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ തനിക്കായിട്ടു വെട്ടിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വന്ത കല്ലറയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; വൈദ്യന്മാരുടെ യോഗപ്രകാരം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗവും പലതരം പരിമളസാധനങ്ങളും നിറെച്ചിരുന്ന ശയ്യമേൽ അവനെ കിടത്തുകയും അവന്നു വേണ്ടി എത്രയും വലിയോരു ദഹനം കഴിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. | 14 तब उसको उसी की कब्र में जो उस ने दाऊदपुर में खुदवा ली यी, मिट्टी दी गई; और वह सुगन्धद्रय्योंऔर गंधी के काम के भांति भांति के मसालोंसे भरे हुए एक बिछौने पर लिटा दिया गया, और बहुत सा सुगन्धद्रय्य उसके लिथे जलाया गया। |
