| 1 Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem. | 3 And he said to the Levites who taught all Israel and who were holy to the LORD, "Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built. | 18 No Passover like it had been kept in Israel since the days of Samuel the prophet. | 19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah this Passover was kept. | 19 യോശീയാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ ഈ പെസഹ ആചരിച്ചു. | 19 यह फसह योशिय्याह के राज्य के अठारहवें वर्ष में मनाया गया। |

| 21 But he sent envoys to him, saying, "What have we to do with each other, king of Judah? I am not coming against you this day, but against the house with which I am at war. And God has commanded me to hurry. | 22 Nevertheless, Josiah did not turn away from him, but disguised himself in order to fight with him. He did not listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, but came to fight in the plain of Megiddo. | 22 എങ്കിലും യോശീയാവു വിട്ടുതിരിയാതെ അവനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു വേഷംമാറി; നെഖോ പറഞ്ഞ ദൈവവചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കാതെ അവൻ മെഗിദ്ദോതാഴ്വരയിൽ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ചെന്നു. | 22 परन्तु योशिय्याह ने उस से मुंह न मोड़ा, वरन उस से लड़ने के लिथे भेष बदला, और नको के उन वचनोंको न माना जो उस ने परमेश्वर की ओर से कहे थे, और मगिद्दो की तराई में उस से युद्ध करने को गया। |
| 23 And the archers shot King Josiah. | 24 So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in his second chariot and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. | 25 Jeremiah also uttered a lament for Josiah; and all the singing men and singing women have spoken of Josiah in their laments to this day. | 26 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his good deeds according to what is written in the Law of the LORD, | 26 യോശീയാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നപ്രകാരമുള്ള അവന്റെ സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളും ആദ്യവസാനം അവന്റെ ചരിത്രവും യിസ്രായേലിലെയും യെഹൂദയിലെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 26 योशिय्याह के और काम और भक्ति के जो काम उस ने उसी के अनुसार किए जो यहोवा की व्यवस्या में लिखा हुआ है। |
