| 1 "If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall repay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. | 1 ഒരുത്തൻ ഒരു കാളയെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അറുക്കുകയാകട്ടെ വില്ക്കുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താൽ അവൻ ഒരു കാളെക്കു അഞ്ചു കാളയെയും, ഒരു ആടിന്നു നാലു ആടിനെയും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 1 यदि कोई मनुष्य बैल, वा भेड़, वा बकरी चुराकर उसका घात करे वा बेच डाले, तो वह बैल की सन्ती पाँच बैल, और भेड़-बकरी की सन्ती चार भेड़-बकरी भर दे। |
| 2 "If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him, | 2 കള്ളൻ വീടു മുറിക്കുമ്പോൾ പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അടികൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചുപോയാൽ അവനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു രക്തപാതകം ഇല്ല. | 2 यदि चोर सेंध लगाते हुए पकड़ा जाए, और उस पर ऐसी मार पके कि वह मर जाए, तो उसके खून का दोष न लगे; |
| 3 but if the sun has risen on him, there shall be bloodguilt for him. He shall surely pay. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. | 3 എന്നാൽ അതു നേരം വെളുത്തശേഷമാകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ രക്തപാതകം ഉണ്ടു. കള്ളൻ ശരിയായിട്ടു പ്രതിശാന്തി ചെയ്യേണം; അവൻ വകയില്ലാത്തവനെങ്കിൽ തന്റെ മോഷണം നിമിത്തം അവനെ വിൽക്കേണം. | 3 यदि सूर्य निकल चुके, तो उसके खून का दोष लगे; अवश्य है कि वह हानि को भर दे, और यदि उसके पास कुछ न हो, तो वह चोरी के कारण बेच दिया जाए। |
| 4 If the stolen beast is found alive in his possession, whether it is an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he shall pay double. | 4 മോഷണവസ്തുവായ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ ആടിനെയോ ജീവനോടെ അവന്റെ കൈവശം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചാൽ അവൻ ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 4 यदि चुराया हुआ बैल, वा गदहा, वा भेड़ वा बकरी उसके हाथ में जीवित पाई जाए, तो वह उसका दूना भर दे।। |
| 5 "If a man causes a field or vineyard to be grazed over, or lets his beast loose and it feeds in another man's field, he shall make restitution from the best in his own field and in his own vineyard. | 5 ഒരുത്തൻ ഒരു വയലോ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടമോ തീറ്റിക്കയാകട്ടെ തന്റെ കന്നുകാലിയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു അതു മറ്റൊരുത്തന്റെ വയലിൽ മേയുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താൽ അവൻ തന്റെ വയലിലുള്ളതിൽ ഉത്തമമായതും തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലുള്ളതിൽ ഉത്തമമായതും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 5 यदि कोई अपके पशु से किसी का खेत वा दाख की बारी चराए, अर्यात् अपके पशु को ऐसा छोड़ दे कि वह पराए खेत को चर ले, तो वह अपके खेत की और अपक्की दाख की बारी की उत्तम से उत्तम उपज में से उस हानि को भर दे।। |
| 6 "If fire breaks out and catches in thorns so that the stacked grain or the standing grain or the field is consumed, he who started the fire shall make full restitution. | 6 തീ വീണു കാടു കത്തീട്ടു കറ്റക്കൂട്ടമോ വിളവോ നിലമോ വെന്തുപോയെങ്കിൽ തീ കത്തിച്ചവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 6 यदि कोई आग जलाए, और वह कांटोंमें लग जाए और फूलोंके ढेर वा अनाज वा खड़ा खेत जल जाए, तो जिस ने आग जलाई हो वह हानि को निश्चय भर दे।। |
| 7 "If a man gives to his neighbor money or goods to keep safe, and it is stolen from the man's house, then, if the thief is found, he shall pay double. | 7 ഒരുത്തൻ കൂട്ടകാരന്റെ പറ്റിൽ പണമോ വല്ല സാധനമോ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു കളവുപോയാൽ കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടി എന്നുവരികിൽ അവൻ ഇരട്ടിപകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 7 यदि कोई दूसरे को रूपए वा सामग्री की धरोहर धरे, और वह उसके घर से चुराई जाए, तो यदि चोर पकड़ा जाए, तो दूना उसी को भर देना पकेगा। |
| 8 If the thief is not found, the owner of the house shall come near to God to show whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor's property. | 8 കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടാതിരുന്നാൽ ആ വീട്ടുകാരൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേൽ കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു അറിവാൻ അവനെ ദൈവ സന്നിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം. | 8 और यदि चोर न पकड़ा जाए, तो घर का स्वामी परमेश्वर के पास लाया जाए, कि निश्चय हो जाय कि उस ने अपके भाई बन्धु की सम्पत्ति पर हाथ लगाया है वा नहीं। |
| 9 For every breach of trust, whether it is for an ox, for a donkey, for a sheep, for a cloak, or for any kind of lost thing, of which one says, 'This is it,' the case of both parties shall come before God. The one whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor. | 9 കാണാതെപോയ കാള, കഴുത, ആടു, വസ്ത്രം മുതലായ യാതൊന്നിനെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഇതു എനിക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു ഒരുവൻ പറഞ്ഞു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിയാൽ ഇരുപാട്ടുകാരുടെയും കാര്യം ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ വരേണം; കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു ദൈവം വിധിക്കുന്നവൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 9 चाहे बैल, चाहे गदहे, चाहे भेड़ वा बकरी, चाहे वस्त्र, चाहे किसी प्रकार की ऐसी खोई हुई वस्तु के विषय अपराध क्योंन लगाया जाय, जिसे दो जन अपक्की अपक्की कहते हों, तो दोनोंका मुकद्दमा परमेश्वर के पास आए; और जिसको परमेश्वर दोषी ठहराए वह दूसरे को दूना भर दे।। |
| 10 "If a man gives to his neighbor a donkey or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep safe, and it dies or is injured or is driven away, without anyone seeing it, | 10 ഒരുത്തൻ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പക്കൽ കഴുത, കാള, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരു മൃഗത്തെ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു ചത്തുപോകയോ അതിന്നു വല്ല കേടു തട്ടുകയോ ആരും കാണാതെ കളവുപോകയോ ചെയ്താൽ | 10 यदि कोई दूसरे को गदहा वा बैल वा भेड़-बकरी वा कोई और पशु रखने के लिथे सौपें, और किसी के बिना देखे वह मर जाए, वा चोट खाए, वा हांक दिया जाए, |
| 11 an oath by the LORD shall be between them both to see whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor's property. The owner shall accept the oath, and he shall not make restitution. | 11 കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേൽ അവൻ കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള സത്യം ഇരുപാട്ടുകാർക്കും തീർച്ച ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഉടമസ്ഥൻ അതു സമ്മതിക്കേണം; മറ്റവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ. | 11 तो उन दोनो के बीच यहोवा की शपय खिलाई जाए कि मैं ने इसकी सम्पत्ति पर हाथ नहीं लगाया; तब सम्पत्ति का स्वामी इसको सच माने, और दूसरे को उसे कुछ भी भर देना न होगा। |
| 12 But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to its owner. | 12 എന്നാൽ അതു അവന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്നു കളവുപോയി എന്നു വരികിൽ അവൻ അതിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 12 यदि वह सचमुच उसके यहां से चुराया गया हो, तो वह उसके स्वामी को उसे भर दे। |
| 13 If it is torn by beasts, let him bring it as evidence. He shall not make restitution for what has been torn. | 13 അതു കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയതിന്നു അവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ. | 13 और यदि वह फाड़ डाला गया हो, तो वह फाड़े हुए को प्रमाण के लिथे ले आए, तब उसे उसको भी भर देना न पकेगा।। |
| 14 "If a man borrows anything of his neighbor, and it is injured or dies, the owner not being with it, he shall make full restitution. | 14 ഒരുത്തൻ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വായ്പ വാങ്ങീട്ടു ഉടമസ്ഥൻ അരികെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ വല്ല കേടു ഭവിക്കയോ ചത്തുപോകയോ ചെയ്താൽ അവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 14 फिर यदि कोई दूसरे से पशु मांग लाए, और उसके स्वामी के संग न रहते उसको चोट लगे वा वह मर जाए, तो वह निश्चय उसकी हानि भर दे। |
| 15 If the owner was with it, he shall not make restitution; if it was hired, it came for its hiring fee. | 15 ഉടമസ്ഥൻ അരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാൽ അവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ; അതു കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങിയതെങ്കിൽ അതിന്നു കൂലിയുണ്ടല്ലോ. | 15 यदि उसका स्वामी संग हो, तो दूसरे को उसकी हानि भरना न पके; और यदि वह भाड़े का हो तो उसकी हानि उसके भाड़े में आ गई।। |
| 16 "If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife. | 16 വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഒരു കന്യകയെ ഒരുത്തൻ വശീകരിച്ചു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാൽ അവൻ സ്ത്രീധനം കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കേണം. | 16 यदि कोई पुरूष किसी कन्या को जिसके ब्याह की बात न लगी हो फुसलाकर उसके संग कुकर्म करे, तो वह निश्चय उसका मोल देके उसे ब्याह ले। |
| 17 If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equal to the bride-price for virgins. | 17 അവളെ അവന്നു കൊടുപ്പാൻ അവളുടെ അപ്പന്നു അശേഷം മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൻ കന്യകമാരുടെ സ്ത്രീധനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പണം കൊടുക്കേണം. | 17 परन्तु यदि उसका पिता उसे देने को बिल्कुल इनकार करे, तो कुकर्म करनेवाला कन्याओं के मोल की रीति के अनुसार रूपके तौल दे।। |
| 18 "You shall not permit a sorceress to live. | 18 ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയെ നീ ജീവനോടെ വെക്കരുതു. | 18 तू डाइन को जीवित रहने न देना।। |
| 19 "Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death. | 19 മൃഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം. | 19 जो कोई पशुगमन करे वह निश्चय मार डाला जाए।। |
| 20 "Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction. | 20 യഹോവെക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ വേറെ ദൈവങ്ങൾക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനെ നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കേണം. | 20 जो कोई यहोवा को छोड़ किसी और देवता के लिथे बलि करे वह सत्यनाश किया जाए। |
| 21 "You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. | 21 പരദേശിയെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുതു ഉപദ്രവിക്കയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പരദേശികൾ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 21 और परदेशी को न सताना और न उस पर अन्धेर करना क्योंकि मिस्र देश में तुम भी परदेशी थे। |
| 22 You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. | 22 വിധവയെയും അനാഥനെയും നിങ്ങൾ ക്ലേശിപ്പിക്കരുതു. | 22 किसी विधवा वा अनाय बालक को दु:ख न देना। |
| 23 If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, | 23 അവരെ വല്ലപ്രകാരത്തിലും ക്ലേശിപ്പിക്കയും അവർ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കും; | 23 यदि तुम ऐसोंको किसी प्रकार का दु:ख दो, और वे कुछ भी मेरी दोहाई दें, तो मैं निश्चय उनकी दोहाई सुनूंगा; |
| 24 and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless. | 24 എന്റെ കോപവും ജ്വലിക്കും; ഞാൻ വാൾകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ത്രീകൾ വിധവമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങൾ അനാഥരുമായി തീരും. | 24 तब मेरा क्रोध भड़केगा, और मैं तुम को तलवार से मरवाऊंगा, और तुम्हारी पत्नियां विधवा और तुम्हारे बालक अनाय हो जाएंगे।। |
| 25 "If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him. | 25 എന്റെ ജനത്തിൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള ഒരു ദരിദ്രന്നു പണം വായ്പ കൊടുത്താൽ പൊലികടക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കരുതു; അവനോടു പലിശ വാങ്ങുകയും അരുതു. | 25 यदि तू मेरी प्रजा में से किसी दीन को जो तेरे पास रहता हो रूपए का ऋण दे, तो उस से महाजन की नाई ब्याज न लेना। |
| 26 If ever you take your neighbor's cloak in pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down, | 26 നീ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പണയം വാങ്ങിയാൽ സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിക്കുംമുമ്പെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം. | 26 यदि तू कभी अपके भाईबन्धु के वस्त्र को बन्धक करके रख भी ले, तो सूर्य के अस्त होने तक उसको लौटा देना; |
| 27 for that is his only covering, and it is his cloak for his body; in what else shall he sleep? And if he cries to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate. | 27 അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ പുതപ്പു; അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ ശരീരം മൂടുന്ന വസ്ത്രം; അവൻ പിന്നെ എന്തൊന്നു പുതെച്ചു കിടക്കും? അവൻ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കും; ഞാൻ കൃപയുള്ളവനല്ലോ. | 27 क्योंकि वह उसका एक ही ओढ़ना है, उसकी देह का वही अकेला वस्त्र होगा फिर वह किसे ओढ़कर सोएगा? तोभी जब वह मेरी दोहाई देगा तब मैं उसकी सुनूंगा, क्योंकि मैं तो करूणामय हूं।। |
| 28 "You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people. | 28 നീ ദൈവത്തെ ദുഷിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അധിപതിയെ ശപിക്കയുമരുതു. | 28 परमेश्वर को श्रप न देना, और न अपके लोगोंके प्रधान को श्रप देना। |
| 29 "You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me. | 29 നിന്റെ വിളവും ദ്രാവകവർഗ്ഗവും അർപ്പിപ്പാൻ താമസിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ആദ്യജാതനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം. | 29 अपके खेतोंकी उपज और फलोंके रस में से कुछ मुझे देने में विलम्ब न करना। अपके बेटोंमें से पहिलौठे को मुझे देना। |
| 30 You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to me. | 30 നിന്റെ കാളകളിലും ആടുകളിലും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അതു ഏഴു ദിവസം തള്ളയോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; എട്ടാം ദിവസം അതിനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം. | 30 वैसे ही अपक्की गायोंऔर भेड़-बकरियोंके पहिलौठे भी देना; सात दिन तक तो बच्चा अपक्की माता के संग रहे, और आठवें दिन तू उसे मुझे दे देना। |
| 31 "You shall be consecrated to me. Therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs. | 31 നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; കാട്ടുമൃഗം കടിച്ചുകീറിയ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു. നിങ്ങൾ അതിനെ നായ്ക്കൾക്കു ഇട്ടുകളയേണം. | 31 और तुम मेरे लिथे पवित्र मनुष्य बनना; इस कारण जो पशु मैदान में फाड़ा हुआ पड़ा मिले उसका मांस न खाना, उसको कुत्तोंके आगे फेंक देना।। |
