| 2 Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death. | 1 ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മകൻ അപ്പനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷനായ മകൻ അമ്മെക്കു വ്യസനഹേതുവാകുന്നു. | 2 दुष्टोंके रखे हुए धन से लाभ नही होता, परन्तु धर्म के कारण मृत्यु से बचाव होता है। |
| 3 The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. | 2 ദുഷ്ടതയാൽ സമ്പാദിച്ച നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു. | 3 धर्मी को यहोवा भूखोंमरने नहीं देता, परन्तु दुष्टोंकी अभिलाषा वह पूरी होने नहीं देता। |
| 4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. | 3 യഹോവ നീതിമാനെ പട്ടിണി കിടത്തുകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൊതിയോ അവൻ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നു. | 4 जो काम में ढिलाई करता है, वह निर्धन हो जाता है, परन्तु काममाजु लोग अपके हाथोंके द्वारा धनी होते हैं। |
| 5 He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame. | 4 മടിയുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ ദരിദ്രനായ്തീരുന്നു; ഉത്സാഹിയുടെ കയ്യോ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. | 5 जो बेटा धूपकाल में बटोरता है वह बुद्धि से काम करनेवाला है, परन्तु जो बेटा कटनी के समय भारी नींद में पड़ा रहता है, वह लज्जा का कारण होता है। |
| 6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. | 5 വേനൽക്കാലത്തു ശേഖരിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ; കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനോ നാണംകെട്ടവൻ. | 6 धर्मी पर बहुत से आर्शीवाद होते हैं, परन्तु उपद्रव दुष्टोंका मुंह छा लेता है। |
| 7 The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot. | 6 നീതിമാന്റെ ശിരസ്സിന്മേൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ വരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു. | 7 धर्मी को स्मरण करके लोग आशीर्वाद देते हैं, परन्तु दुष्टोंका नाम मिट जाता है। |
| 8 The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. | 7 നീതിമാന്റെ ഓർമ്മ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പേരോ കെട്ടുപോകും. | 8 जो बुद्धिमान है, वह आज्ञाओं को स्वीकार करता है, परन्तु जो बकवादी और मूढ़ है, वह पछाड़ खाता है। |
| 9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. | 8 ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയൻ കല്പനകളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; വിടുവായനായ ഭോഷനോ വീണുപോകും. | 9 जो खराई से चलता है वह निडर चलता है, परन्तु जो टेढ़ी चाल चलता है उसकी चाल प्रगट हो जाती है। |
| 10 Whoever winks the eye causes trouble, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. | 9 നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ നിർഭയമായി നടക്കുന്നു; നടപ്പിൽ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും. | 10 जो नैन से सैन करता है उस से औरोंको दुख मिलता है, और जो बकवादी और मूढ़ है, वह पछाड़ खाता है। |
| 11 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. | 10 കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടുന്നവൻ ദുഃഖം വരുത്തുന്നു; തുറന്നു ശാസിക്കുന്നവനോ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. | 11 धर्मी का मुंह तो जीवन का सोता है, परन्तु उपद्रव दुष्टोंका मुंह छा लेता है। |
| 12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. | 11 നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായെ സാഹസംമൂടുന്നു. | 12 बैर से तो फगड़े उत्पन्न होते हैं, परन्तु प्रेम से सब अपराध ढंप जाते हैं। |
| 13 On the lips of him who has understanding, wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense. | 12 പക വഴക്കുകൾക്കു കാരണം ആകുന്നു; സ്നേഹമോ, സകലലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മൂടുന്നു. | 13 समझवालोंके वचनोंमें बुद्धि पाई जाती है, परन्तु निर्बुद्धि की पीठ के लिथे कोड़ा है। |
| 14 The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near. | 13 വിവേകിയുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ ജ്ഞാനം ഉണ്ടു; ബുദ്ധിഹീനന്റെ മുതുകിന്നോ വടികൊള്ളാം. | 14 बुद्धिमान लोग ज्ञान को रख छोड़ते हैं, परन्तु मूढ़ के बोलने से विनाश निकट आता है। |
| 15 A rich man's wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin. | 14 ജ്ഞാനികൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷന്റെ വായോ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നാശം. | 15 धनी का धन उसका दृढ़ नगर है, परन्तु कंगाल लोग निर्धन होने के कारण विनाश होते हैं। |
| 16 The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin. | 15 ധനവാന്റെ സമ്പത്തു, അവന്നു ഉറപ്പുള്ളോരു പട്ടണം; എളിയവരുടെ നാശമോ അവരുടെ ദാരിദ്ര്യം തന്നേ. | 16 धर्मी का परिश्र्म जीवन के लिथे होता है, परन्तु दुष्ट के लाभ से पाप होता है। |
| 17 Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. | 16 നീതിമാന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം ജീവഹേതുവും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ആദായം പാപകാരണവും ആകുന്നു. | 17 जो शिझा पर चलता वह जीवन के मार्ग पर है, परन्तु जो डांट से मुंह मोड़ता, वह भटकता है। |
| 18 The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool. | 17 പ്രബോധനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ശാസന ത്യജിക്കുന്നവനോ ഉഴന്നുനടക്കുന്നു; | 18 जो बैर को छिपा रखता है, वह फूठ बोलता है, और जो अपवाद फैलाता है, वह मूर्ख है। |
| 19 When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. | 18 പക മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നവൻ പൊളിവായൻ; ഏഷണി പറയുന്നവൻ ഭോഷൻ. | 19 जहां बहुत बातें होती हैं, वहां अपराध भी होता है, परन्तु जो अपके मुंह को बन्द रखता है वह बुद्धि से काम करता है। |
| 20 The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is of little worth. | 19 വാക്കു പെരുകിയാൽ ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയില്ല; അധരങ്ങളെ അടക്കുന്നവനോ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ. | 20 धर्मी के वचन तो उत्तम चान्दी हैं; परन्तु दुष्टोंका मन बहुत हलका होता है। |
| 21 The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense. | 20 നീതിമാന്റെ നാവു മേത്തരമായ വെള്ളി; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ നിസ്സാരം. | 21 धर्मी के वचनोंसे बहुतोंका पालनपोषण होता है, परन्तु मूढ़ लोग निर्बुद्धि होने के ारण मर जाते हैं। |
| 22 The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. | 21 നീതിമാന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ പലരെയും പോഷിപ്പിക്കും; ഭോഷന്മാരോ ബുദ്ധിഹീനതയാൽ മരിക്കുന്നു. | 22 धन यहोवा की आशीष ही से मिलता है, और वह उसके साय दु:ख नहीं मिलाता। |
| 23 Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding. | 22 യഹോവയുടെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാകുന്നു; അദ്ധ്വാനത്താൽ അതിനോടു ഒന്നും കൂടുന്നില്ല. | 23 मूर्ख को तो महापाप करना हंसी की बात जान पड़ती है, परन्तु समझवाले पुरूष में बुद्धि रहती है। |
| 24 What the wicked dreads will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. | 23 ദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഭോഷന്നു കളിയാകുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനം വിവേകിക്കു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ. | 24 दुष्ट जन जिस विपत्ति से डरता है, वह उस पर आ पड़ती है, परन्तु धमिर्योंकी लालसा पूरी होती है। |
| 25 When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous is established forever. | 24 ദുഷ്ടൻ പേടിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ അവന്നു ഭവിക്കും; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹമോ സാധിക്കും. | 25 बवण्डर निकल जाते ही दुष्ट जन लोप हो जाता है, परन्तु धर्मी सदा लोंस्यिर है। |
| 26 Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him. | 25 ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടൻ ഇല്ലാതെയായി; നീതിമാനോ ശാശ്വതമായ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഉള്ളവൻ. | 26 जैसे दांत को सिरका, और आंख को धूंआ, वैसे आलसी उनको लगात है जो उसको कहीं भेजते हैं। |
| 27 The fear of the LORD prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be short. | 26 ചൊറുക്ക പല്ലിന്നും പുക കണ്ണിന്നും ആകുന്നതുപോലെ മടിയൻ തന്നേ അയക്കുന്നവർക്കു ആകുന്നു. | 27 यहोवा के भय मानने से आयु बढ़ती है, परन्तु दुष्टोंका जीवन योड़े ही दिनोंका होता है। |
| 28 The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. | 27 യഹോവാഭക്തി ആയുസ്സിനെ ദീർഘമാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളോ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകും. | 28 धमिर्योंको आशा रखने में आनन्द मिलता है, परन्तु दुष्टोंकी आशा टूट जाती है। |
| 29 The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the blameless, but destruction to evildoers. | 28 നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രത്യാശ സന്തോഷമാകുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷെക്കോ ഭംഗം വരും. | 29 यहोवा खरे मनुष्य का गढ़ ठहरता है, परन्तु अनर्यकारियोंका विनाश होता है। |
| 30 The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land. | 29 യഹോവയുടെ വഴി നേരുള്ളവന്നു ഒരു ദുർഗ്ഗം; ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർക്കോ അതു നാശകരം. | 30 धर्मी सदा अटल रहेगा, परन्तु दुष्ट पृय्वी पर बसने न पाएंगे। |
| 31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off. | 30 നീതിമാൻ ഒരുനാളും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോ ദേശത്തു വസിക്കയില്ല. | 31 धर्मी के मुंह से बुद्धि टपकती है, पर उलट फेर की बात कहने वाले की जीभ काटी जाथेगी। |
| 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. | 31 നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം മുളെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; വക്രതയുള്ള നാവോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും. | 32 धर्मी गहणयोग्य बात समझ कर बोलता है, परन्तु दुष्टोंके मुंह से उलट फेर की बातें निकलती हैं।। |
