| 2 The rich and the poor meet together; the LORD is the maker of them all. | 2 ധനവാനും ദരിദ്രനും തമ്മിൽ കാണുന്നു; അവരെ ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവൻ യഹോവ തന്നേ. | 2 धनी और निर्धन दोनोंएक दूसरे से मिलते हैं; यहोवा उन दोनोंका कर्त्ता है। |
| 3 The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. | 3 വിവേകമുള്ളവൻ അനർത്ഥം കണ്ടു ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അല്പബുദ്ധികളോ നേരെ ചെന്നു ചേതപ്പെടുന്നു. | 3 चतुर मनुष्य विपत्ति को आते देखकर छिप जाता है; परन्तु भोले लोग आगे बढ़कर दण्ड भोगते हैं। |
| 4 The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life. | 4 താഴ്മെക്കും യഹോവഭക്തിക്കും ഉള്ള പ്രതിഫലം ധനവും മാനവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു. | 4 नम्रता और यहोवा के भय मानने का फल धन, महिमा और जीवन होता है। |
| 5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked; whoever guards his soul will keep far from them. | 5 വക്രന്റെ വഴിയിൽ മുള്ളും കുടുക്കും ഉണ്ടു; തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ അവയോടു അകന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ. | 5 टेढ़े मनुष्य के मार्ग में कांटे और फन्दे रहते हैं; परन्तु जो अपके प्राणोंकी रझा करता, वह उन से दूर रहता है। |
| 6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. | 6 ബാലൻ നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വഴിയിൽ അവനെ അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്ക; അവൻ വൃദ്ധനായാലും അതു വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല. | 6 लड़के को शिझा उसी मार्ग की दे जिस में उसको चलना चाहिथे, और वह बुढ़ापे में भी उस से न हटेगा। |
| 7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. | 7 ധനവാൻ ദരിദ്രന്മാരെ ഭരിക്കുന്നു; കടം മേടിക്കുന്നവൻ കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്നു ദാസൻ. | 7 धनी, निर्धन लोगोंपर प्रभुता करता है, और उधार लेनेवाला उधार देनेवाले का दास होता है। |

| 14 The mouth of forbidden women is a deep pit; he with whom the LORD is angry will fall into it. | 14 പരസ്ത്രീയുടെ വായ് ആഴമുള്ള കുഴി ആകുന്നു; യഹോവയാൽ ത്യജിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ അതിൽ വീഴും. | 14 पराई स्त्रियोंका मुंह गहिरा गड़हा है; जिस से यहोवा क्रोधित होता, सोई उस में गिरता है। |
| 15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him. | 15 ബാലന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തോടു ഭോഷത്വം പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ശിക്ഷെക്കുള്ള വടി അതിനെ അവനിൽ നിന്നു അകറ്റിക്കളയും. | 15 लड़के के मन में मूढ़त बन्धी रहती है, परन्तु छड़ी की ताड़ना के द्वारा वह उस से दूर की जाती है। |
| 16 Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth, or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. | 16 ആദായം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എളിയവനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും ധനവാന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നവനും മുട്ടുള്ളവനായ്തീരും. | 16 जो अपके लाभ के निमित्त कंगाल पर अन्धेर करता है, और जो धनी को भेंट देता, वे दोनो केवल हानि ही उठाते हैं।। |

| 21 to make you know what is right and true, that you may give a true answer to those who sent you? | 21 ആലോചനയും പരിജ്ഞാനവും അടങ്ങിയ സാരസംഗതികളെ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു എഴുതീട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ. | 21 कि मैं तुझे सत्य वचनोंका निश्चय करा दूं, जिस से जो तुझे काम में लगाएं, उनको सच्चा उत्तर दे सके।। |
| 22 Do not rob the poor, because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate, | 22 എളിയവനോടു അവൻ എളിയവനാകകൊണ്ടു കവർച്ച ചെയ്യരുതു; അരിഷ്ടനെ പടിവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു പീഡിപ്പിക്കയും അരുതു. | 22 कंगाल पर इस कारण अन्धेर न करता कि वह कंगाल है, और न दीन जन को कचहरी में पीसना; |
| 23 for the LORD will plead their cause and rob of life those who rob them. | 23 യഹോവ അവരുടെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തും; അവരെ കൊള്ളയിട്ടവരുടെ ജീവനെ കൊള്ളയിടും. | 23 क्योंकि यहोवा उनका मुकद्दमा लड़ेगा, और जो लोग उनका धन हर लेते हैं, उनका प्राण भी वह हर लेगा। |

| 26 Be not one of those who give pledges, who put up security for debts. | 26 നീ കയ്യടിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലും കടത്തിന്നു ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലും ആയ്പോകരുതു. | 26 जो लोग हाथ पर हाथ मारते, और ऋणियोंके उत्तरदायी होते हैं, उन में तू न होना। |

| 28 Do not move the ancient landmark that your fathers have set. | 28 നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പണ്ടത്തെ അതിർ നീ മാറ്റരുതു. | 28 जो सिवाना तेरे पुरखाओं ने बान्धा हो, उस पुराने सिवाने को न बढ़ाना। |
