| 1 But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. | 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. | 2 ഇരുട്ടിൽ നടന്ന ജനം വലിയൊരു വെളിച്ചം കണ്ടു; അന്ധതമസ്സുള്ള ദേശത്തു പാർത്തവരുടെ മേൽ പ്രകാശം ശോഭിച്ചു. | 2 जो लोग अन्धिक्कारने में चल रहे थे उन्होंने बड़ा उजियाला देखा; और जो लोग घोर अन्धकार से भरे हुए मृत्यु के देश में रहते थे, उन पर ज्योति चमकी। |

| 5 For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. | 5 ഒച്ചയോടെ ചവിട്ടി നടക്കുന്ന യോദ്ധാവിന്റെ ചെരിപ്പൊക്കെയും രക്തംപിരണ്ട വസ്ത്രവും വിറകുപോലെ തീക്കു ഇരയായിത്തീരും. | 5 क्योंकि युद्ध में लड़नेवाले सिपाहियोंके जूते और लोहू में लयड़े हुए कपके सब आग का कौर हो जाएंगे। |

| 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. | 12 The Syrians on the east and the Philistines on the west devour Israel with open mouth. | 13 The people did not turn to him who struck them, nor inquire of the LORD of hosts. | 13 എന്നിട്ടും ജനം തങ്ങളെ അടിക്കുന്നവങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നില്ല; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. | 13 तौभी थे लोग अपके मारनेवाले की ओर नहीं फिरे और न सेनाओं के यहोवा की खोज करते हैं। |
| 14 So the LORD cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed in one day-- | 14 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു തലയും വാലും പനമ്പട്ടയും പോട്ടപ്പുല്ലും ഒരു ദിവസത്തിൽ തന്നേ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും. | 14 इस कारण यहोवा इस्राएल में से सिर और पूंछ को, खजूर की डालियोंऔर सरकंडे को, एक ही दिन में काट डालेगा। |
| 15 the elder and honored man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail; | 15 മൂപ്പനും മാന്യപുരുഷനും തന്നേ തല; അസത്യം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകൻ തന്നേ വാൽ. | 15 पुरनिया और प्रतिष्ठित पुरूष तो सिर हैं, और फूठी बातें सिखानेवाला नबी पूंछ है; |

| 18 For wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns; it kindles the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke. | 18 ദുഷ്ടത തീപോലെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്നു; അതു പറക്കാരയും മുള്ളും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; വനത്തിലെ പള്ളക്കാടുകളിൽ കത്തുന്നു; പുകത്തൂണുകളായി ഉരുണ്ടുപൊങ്ങും. | 18 क्योंकि दुष्टता आग की नाई धधकती है, वह ऊंटकटारोंऔर कांटोंको भस्म करती है, वरन वह घने वन की फाडिय़ोंमें आग लगाती है और वह धुंआ में चकरा चकराकर ऊपर की ओर उठती है। |
