| 2 "Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will let you hear my words." | 2 നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കുശവന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുക; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾപ്പിക്കും. | 2 और वहां मैं तुझे अपके वचन सुनवाऊंगा। |
| 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and there he was working at his wheel. | 3 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കുശവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ ചക്രത്തിന്മേൽ വേല ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. | 3 सो मैं कुम्हार के घर गया और क्या देखा कि वह चाक पर कुछ बना रहा है ! |

| 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the LORD. Behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. | 6 യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ഈ കുശവൻ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴികയില്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, കളിമണ്ണു കുശവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. | 6 यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि इस कुम्हार की नाई तुम्हारे साय क्या मैं भी काम नहीं कर सकता? देख, जैसा मिट्टी कुम्हार के हाथ में रहती है, वैसा ही हे इस्राएल के घराने, तुम भी मेरे हाथ में हो। |
| 7 If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, | 7 ഞാൻ ഒരു ജാതിയെക്കുറിച്ചോ രാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ അതിനെ പറിച്ചു ഇടിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടു | 7 जब मैं किसी जाति वा राज्य के विषय कहूं कि उसे उखाड़ूंगा वा ढा दूंगा अयवा नाश करूंगा, |
| 8 and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it. | 8 ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ജാതി തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടു തിരിയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അതിനോടു ചെയ്‍വാൻ നിരൂപിച്ച ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ അനുതപിക്കും. | 8 तब यदि उस जाति के लोग जिसके विषय मैं ने कह बात कही हो अपक्की बुराई से फिरें, तो मैं उस विपत्ति के विषय जो मैं ने उन पर डालने को ठाना हो पछताऊंगा। |
| 9 And if at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it, | 9 ഒരു ജാതിയെക്കുറിച്ചോ രാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ഞാൻ അതിനെ പണികയും നടുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടു | 9 और जब मैं किसी जाति वा राज्य के विषय कहूं कि मैं उसे बनाऊंगा और रोपूंगा; |
| 10 and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it. | 10 അതു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കാതെ എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്യുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ അനുതപിക്കും. | 10 तब यदि वे उस काम को करें जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा है और मेरी बात न मानें, तो मैं उस भलाई के विष्य जिसे मैं ने उनके लिथे करने को कहा हो, पछताऊंगा। |
| 11 Now, therefore, say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: 'Thus says the LORD, behold, I am shaping disaster against you and devising a plan against you. | 12 "But they say, 'That is in vain! | 13 "Therefore thus says the LORD: Ask among the nations, Who has heard the like of this? The virgin Israel has done a very horrible thing. | 13 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചെന്നു അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളതു ആരെങ്കിലും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? യിസ്രായേൽകന്യക അതിഭയങ്കരമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. | 13 इस कारण प्रभु यहोवा योंकहता है, अन्यजातियोंसे पूछ कि ऐसी बातें क्या कभी किसी के सुनने में आई है? इस्राएल की कुमारी ने जो काम किया है उसके सुनने से रोम रोम खड़े हो जाते हैं। |
| 14 Does the snow of Lebanon leave the crags of Sirion? Do the mountain waters run dry, the cold flowing streams? | 14 ലെബാനോനിലെ ഹിമം വയലിലെ പാറയെ വിട്ടുപോകുമോ? അന്യദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒഴുകിവരുന്ന തണുത്ത വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോകുമേ? | 14 क्या लबानोन का हिम जो चट्टान पर से मैदान में बहता है बन्द हो सकता है? क्या वह ठण्डा जल जो दूर से बहता है कभी सूख सकता है? |

| 16 making their land a horror, a thing to be hissed at forever. Everyone who passes by it is horrified and shakes his head. | 16 അവർ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യവും നിത്യപരിഹാസവും ആക്കുന്നു; അതിൽകൂടി കടന്നു പോകുന്ന ഏവനും സ്തംഭിച്ചു തലകുലുക്കും. | 16 इस से उनका देश ऐसा उजाड़ हो गया है कि लोग उस पर सदा ताली बजाते रहेंगे; और जो कोई उसके पास से चले वह चकित होगा और सिर हिलाएगा। |
| 17 Like the east wind I will scatter them before the enemy. | 18 Then they said, "Come, let us make plots against Jeremiah, for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. | 19 Hear me, O LORD, and listen to the voice of my adversaries. | 19 യഹോവേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതന്നു എന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗികളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണമേ. | 19 हे यहोवा, मेरी ओर ध्यान दे, और जो लोग मेरे साय फगड़ते हैं उनकी बातें सुन। |
| 20 Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. | 21 Therefore deliver up their children to famine; give them over to the power of the sword; let their wives become childless and widowed. | 22 May a cry be heard from their houses, when you bring the plunderer suddenly upon them! | 23 Yet you, O LORD, know all their plotting to kill me. Forgive not their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger. | 23 യഹോവേ, എന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നായുള്ള അവരുടെ ആലോചനയൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം ക്ഷമിക്കരുതേ; അവരുടെ പാപം നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയരുതേ; അവർ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഇടറിവീഴട്ടെ; നിന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു തന്നേ അവരോടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണമേ. | 23 हे यहोवा, तू उनकी सब युक्तियां जानता है जो वे मेरी मृत्यु के लिथे करते हैं। इस कारण तू उनके इस अधर्म को न ढांप, न उनके पाप को अपके साम्हने से मिटा। वे तेरे देखते ही ठोकर खाकर गिर जाएं, अपके क्रोध में आकर उन से इसी प्रकार का व्यवहार कर। |
