| 8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, ourselves, our wives, our sons, or our daughters, | 8 അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളും ഭാര്യമാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവകാലത്തൊരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയോ | 8 इसलिथे हम रेकाब के पुत्र अपके पुरखा योनादाब की बात मानकर, उसकी सारी आज्ञाओं के अनुसार चलते हैं, न हम और न हमारी स्त्रियां वा पुत्र-पुत्रियां कभी दाख मधु पीती हैं, |
| 9 and not to build houses to dwell in. | 11 But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, 'Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and the army of the Syrians.' | 14 The command that Jonadab the son of Rechab gave to his sons, to drink no wine, has been kept, and they drink none to this day, for they have obeyed their father's command. | 15 I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them persistently, saying, 'Turn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your deeds, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to you and your fathers.' | 18 But to the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said, "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the command of Jonadab your father and kept all his precepts and done all that he commanded you, | 18 പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാവു രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞയൊക്കെയും അനുസരിച്ചു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു, | 18 और रेकाबियोंके घराने से यिर्मयाह ने कहा, इस्राएल का परमेश्वर सेनाओं का यहोवा तुम से योंकहता है, इसलिथे कि तुम ने जो अपके पुरखा योनादाब की आज्ञा मानी, वरन उसकी सब आज्ञाओं को मान लिया और जो कुछ उस ने कहा उसके अनुसार काम किया है, |
| 19 therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man to stand before me." | 19 എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാൻ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്നു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഒരിക്കലും ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. | 19 इसलिथे इस्राएल का परमेश्वर सेनाओं का यहोवा योंकहता है, रेकाब के पुत्र योनादाब के वंश में सदा ऐसा जन पाया जाएगा जो मेरे सम्मुख खड़ा रहे। |
