| 2 "What do you mean by repeating this proverb concerning the land of Israel, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge'? | 2 അപ്പന്മാർ പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ തിന്നു മക്കളുടെ പല്ലു പുളിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽദേശത്തു ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? | 2 तुम लोग जो इस्राएल के देश के विषय में यह कहावत कहते हो, कि जंगली अंगूर तो पुरखा लोग खाते, परन्तु दांत खट्टे होते हैं लड़केबालोंके। इसका क्या अर्य है? |
| 3 As I live, declares the Lord GOD, this proverb shall no more be used by you in Israel. | 3 എന്നാണ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഈ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറവാൻ ഇടവരികയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | 3 प्रभु यहोवा योंकहता है कि मेरे जीवन की शपय, तुम को इस्राएल में फिर यह कहावत कहने का अवसर न मिलेगा। |
| 4 Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die. | 4 സകല ദേഹികളും എനിക്കുള്ളവർ; അപ്പന്റെ പ്രാണനും മകന്റെ പ്രാണനും ഒരുപോലെ എനിക്കുള്ളതു; പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും. | 4 देखो, सभोंके प्राण तो मेरे हैं; जैसा पिता का प्राण, वैसा ही पुत्र का भी प्राण है; दोनोंमेरे ही हैं। इसलिथे जो प्राणी पाप करे वही मर जाएगा। |
| 5 "If a man is righteous and does what is just and right-- | 5 എന്നാൽ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ നീതിമാനായിരുന്നു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ-- | 5 जो कोई धमीं हो, और न्याय और धर्म के काम करे, |
| 6 if he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor's wife or approach a woman in her time of menstrual impurity, | 6 പൂജാഗിരികളിൽവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയോ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുകയോ ഋതുവായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുകയോ ആരോടും അന്യായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ | 6 और न तो पहाड़ोंपर भोजन किया हो, न इस्राएल के घराने की मूरतोंकी ओर आंखें उठाई हों; न पराई स्त्री को बिगाड़ा हो, और न ऋतुमती के पास गया हो, |
| 7 does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, commits no robbery, gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment, | 7 കടം വാങ്ങിയവന്നു പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും ആരോടും പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാതെ തന്റെ അപ്പം വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും | 7 और न किसी पर अन्धेर किया हो वरन ऋणी को उसकी बन्धक फेर दी हो, न किसी को लूटा हो, वरन भूखे को अपक्की रोटी दी हो और नंगे को कपड़ा ओढ़ाया हो, |
| 8 does not lend at interest or take any profit, withholds his hand from injustice, executes true justice between man and man, | 8 പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കയോ ലാഭം വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊൾകയും മനുഷ്യർക്കു തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ നേരോടെ വിധിക്കയും | 8 न ब्याज पर रुपया दिया हो, न रुपए की बढ़ती ली हो, और अपना हाथ कुटिल काम से रोका हो, मनुष्य के बीच सच्चाई से न्याय किया हो, |
| 9 walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully--he is righteous; he shall surely live, declares the Lord GOD. | 9 എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു നേരോടേ നടക്കുന്നവൻ നീതിമാൻ - അവൻ നിശ്ചയമായി ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | 9 और मेरी विधियोंपर चलता और मेरे नियमोंको मानता हुआ सच्चाई से काम किया हो, ऐसा मनुष्य धमीं है, वह निश्चय जीवित रहेगा, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी है। |
| 10 "If he fathers a son who is violent, a shedder of blood, who does any of these things | 10 എന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ നിഷ്കണ്ടകനായിരുന്നു രക്തം ചൊരിക, അവയിൽ ഏതെങ്കിലും ചെയ്ക, | 10 परन्तु यदि उसका पुत्र डाकू, हत्यारा, वा ऊपर कहे हुए पापोंमें से किसी का करनेवाला हो, |

| 12 oppresses the poor and needy, commits robbery, does not restore the pledge, lifts up his eyes to the idols, commits abomination, | 12 കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക, എളിയവനോടും ദരിദ്രനോടും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്ക, വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക, | 12 दीन दरिद्र पर अन्धेर किया हो, औरोंको लूटा हो, बन्धक न फेर दी हो, मूरतोंकी ओर आंख उठाई हो, घृणित काम किया हो, |
| 13 lends at interest, and takes profit; shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon himself. | 13 മ്ലേച്ഛത പ്രവർത്തിക്ക, പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്ക, ലാഭം വാങ്ങുക എന്നീവക ചെയ്യുന്നവനായാൽ അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല; അവൻ ഈ മ്ലേച്ഛതകളൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ; അവൻ മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ മേൽ വരും. | 13 ब्याज पर रुपया दिया हो, और बढ़ती ली हो, तो क्या वह जीवित रहेगा? वह जीवित न रहेगा; इसलिथे कि उस ने थे सब घिनौने काम किए हैं वह निश्चय मरेगा और उसका खून उसी के सिर पकेगा। |
| 14 "Now suppose this man fathers a son who sees all the sins that his father has done; he sees, and does not do likewise: | 14 എന്നാൽ അവന്നു ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പൻ ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളും കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ളതിനെ ചെയ്യാതെ പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക, | 14 फिर यदि ऐसे मनुष्य के पुत्र होंऔर वह अपके पिता के थे सब पाप देखकर भय के मारे उनके समान न करता हो। |
| 15 he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor's wife, | 15 യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക, കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക, | 15 अर्यात् न तो पहाड़ोंपर भोजन किया हो, न इस्राएल के घराने की मूरतोंकी ओर आंख उठाई हो, न पराई स्त्री को बिगाड़ा हो, |
| 16 does not oppress anyone, exacts no pledge, commits no robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment, | 16 ആരോടെങ്കിലും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പണയം കൈവശം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, എന്നീവകയൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും | 16 न किसी पर अन्धेर किया हो, न कुछ बन्धक लिया हो, न किसी को लूटा हो, वरन अपक्की रोटी भूखे को दी हो, नंगे को कपड़ा ओढ़ाया हो, |
| 17 withholds his hand from iniquity, takes no interest or profit, obeys my rules, and walks in my statutes; he shall not die for his father's iniquity; he shall surely live. | 17 നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊൾകയും പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങാതിരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിധികളെ നടത്തി എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും. | 17 दीन जन की हानि करने से हाथ रोका हो, ब्याज और बढ़ी न ली हो, मेरे नियमोंको माना हो, और मेरी विधियोंपर चला हो, तो वह अपके पिता के अधर्म के कारण न मरेगा, वरन जीवित ही रहेगा। |
| 18 As for his father, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother, and did what is not good among his people, behold, he shall die for his iniquity. | 18 അവന്റെ അപ്പനോ ക്രൂരപീഡനംചെയ്തു, സഹോദരനോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്താൽ മരിക്കും. | 18 उसका पिता, जिस ने अन्धेर किया और लूटा, और अपके भाइयोंके बीच अनुचित काम किया है, वही अपके अधर्म के कारण मर जाएगा। |
| 19 "Yet you say, 'Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?' When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live. | 19 എന്നാൽ മകൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നു; മകൻ നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും. | 19 तौभी तुम लोग कहते हो, क्यों? क्या पुत्र पिता के अधर्म का भार नहीं उठाता? जब पुत्र ने न्याय और धर्म के काम किए हों, और मेरी सब विधियोंका पालनकर उन पर चला हो, तो वह जीवित ही रहेगा। |
| 20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. | 20 പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും; മകൻ അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ട; അപ്പൻ മകന്റെ അകൃത്യവും വഹിക്കേണ്ട; നീതിമാന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെമേലും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെമേലും ഇരിക്കും. | 20 जो प्राणी पाप करे वही मरेगा, न तो पुत्र पिता के अधर्म का भार उठाएगा और न पिता पुत्र का; धमीं को अपके ही धर्म का फल, और दुष्ट को अपक्की ही दुष्टता का फल मिलेगा। |
| 21 "But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. | 21 എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടൻ താൻ ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളെയും വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു, നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും. | 21 परन्तु यदि दुष्ट जन अपके सब पापोंसे फिरकर, मेरी सब विधियोंका पालन करे और न्याय और धर्म के काम करे, तो वह न मरेगा; वरन जीवित ही रहेगा। |
| 22 None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. | 22 അവൻ ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിനെയും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതിയാൽ അവൻ ജീവിക്കും. | 22 उस ने जितने अपराध किए हों, उन में से किसी का स्मरण उसके विरुद्ध न किया जाएगा; जो धर्म का काम उस ने किया हो, उसके कारण वह जीवित रहेगा। |
| 23 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? | 23 ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ എനിക്കു അല്പമെങ്കിലും താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടോ? അവൻ തന്റെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിക്കേണമെന്നല്ലയോ എന്റെ താല്പര്യം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു. | 23 प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, क्या मैं दुष्ट के मरने से कुछ भी प्रसन्न होता हूँ? क्या मैं इस से प्रसन्न नहीं होता कि वह अपके मार्ग से फिरकर जीवित रहे? |
| 24 But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die. | 24 എന്നാൽ നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലമ്ലേച്ഛതകളെയുംപോലെ ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതിയൊന്നും കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവൻ ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹത്താലും അവൻ ചെയ്ത പാപത്താലും അവൻ മരിക്കും. | 24 परन्तु जब धमीं अपके धर्म से फिरकर टेढ़े काम, वरन दुष्ट के सब घृणित कामोंके अनुसार करने लगे, तो क्या वह जीवित रहेगा? जितने धर्म के काम उस ने किए हों, उन में से किसी का स्मरण न किया जाएगा। जो विश्वासघात और पाप उस ने किया हो, उसके कारण वह मर जाएगा। |
| 25 "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? | 25 എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ: കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; എന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ? | 25 तौभी तुम लोग कहते हो, कि प्रभु की गति एकसी नहीं। हे इस्राएल के घराने, देख, क्या मेरी गति एकसी नहीं? क्या तुम्हारी ही गति अनुचित नहीं है? |
| 26 When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die. | 26 നീതിമാൻ തന്റെ നിതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അതുനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നീതികേടു നിമിത്തം തന്നേ അവൻ മരിക്കും. | 26 जब धमीं अपके धर्म से फिरकर, टेढ़े काम करने लगे, तो वह उनके कारण मरेगा, अर्यात् वह अपके टेढ़े काम ही के कारण मर जाएगा। |
| 27 Again, when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. | 27 ദുഷ്ടൻ താൻ ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കും. | 27 फिर जब दुष्ट अपके दुष्ट कामोंसे फिरकर, न्याय और धर्म के काम करने लगे, तो वह अपना प्राण बचाएगा। |
| 28 Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. | 28 അവൻ ഓർത്തു താൻ ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും | 28 वह जो सोच विचार कर अपके सब अपराधोंसे फिरा, इस कारण न मरेगा, जीवित ही रहेगा। |
| 29 Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? | 29 എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം: കർത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, എന്റെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വുള്ളവയല്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾ ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ? | 29 तौभी इस्राएल का घराना कहता है कि प्रभु की गति एकसी नहीं। हे इस्राएल के घराने, क्या मेरी गति एकसी नहीं? क्या तुम्हारी ही गति अनुचित नहीं? |
| 30 "Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord GOD. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. | 30 അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നും അവനവന്റെ വഴിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു: അകൃത്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാശകരമായി ഭവിക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിവിൻ. | 30 प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, हे इस्राएल के घराने, मैं तुम में से हर एक मनुष्य का न्याय उसकी चालचलन के अनुसार ही करूंगा। पश्चात्ताप करो और अपके सब अपराधोंको छोड़ो, तभी तुम्हारा अधर्म तुम्हारे ठोकर खाने का कारण न होगा। |
| 31 Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel? | 31 നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾക്കു പുതിയോരു ഹൃദയത്തെയും പുതിയോരു ആത്മാവിനെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനു മരിക്കുന്നു? | 31 अपके सब अपराधोंको जो तुम ने किए हैं, दूर करो; अपना मन और अपक्की आत्मा बदल डालो ! हे इस्राएल के घराने, तुम क्योंमरो? |
| 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live." | 32 മരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ. | 32 क्योंकि, प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, जो मरे, उसके मरने से मैं प्रसन्न नहीं होता, इसलिथे पश्चात्ताप करो, तभी तुम जीवित रहोगे। |
