| 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. | 2 അബ്രാഹാം പ്രവൃത്തിയാൽ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എങ്കിൽ അവന്നു പ്രശംസിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി ഉണ്ടു; ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ഇല്ലതാനും, | 2 क्योंकि यदि इब्राहीम कामोंसे धर्मी ठहराया जाता, तो उसे घमण्ड करने की जगह होती, परन्तु परमेश्वर के निकट नहीं। |
| 3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness." | 3 തിരുവെഴുത്തു എന്തു പറയുന്നു? “അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു” എന്നു തന്നേ. | 3 पवित्र शास्त्र क्या कहता है यह कि इब्राहीम ने परमेश्वर पर विश्वास किया, और यह उसके लिथे धामिर्कता गिना गया। |
| 4 Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. | 4 എന്നാൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവന്നു കൂലി കണക്കിടുന്നതു കൃപയായിട്ടല്ല കടമായിട്ടത്രേ. | 4 काम करनेवाले की मजदूरी देना दान नहीं, परन्तु ह? समझा जाता है। |
| 5 And to the one who does not work but trusts him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, | 5 പ്രവർത്തിക്കാത്തവൻ എങ്കിലും അഭക്തനെ നിതീകരിക്കുന്നവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നോ അവന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നീതിയായി കണക്കിടുന്നു. | 5 परन्तु जो काम नहीं करता बरन भक्तिहीन के धर्मी ठहरानेवाले पर विश्वास करता है, उसका विश्वास उसके लिथे धामिर्कता गिना जाता है। |
| 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: | 6 ദൈവം പ്രവൃത്തികൂടാതെ നീതികണക്കിടുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഭാഗ്യം ദാവീദും വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നതു: | 6 जिसे परमेश्वर बिना कमोंके धर्मी ठहराता है, उसे दाद भी धन्य कहता है। |
| 7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; | 7 “അധർമ്മം മോചിച്ചും പാപം മറെച്ചും കിട്ടിയവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ. | 7 कि धन्य वे हैं, जिन के अधर्म झमा हुए, और जिन के पाप ढ़ापे गए। |
| 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin." | 8 കർത്താവു പാപം കണക്കിടാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.” | 8 धन्य है वह मनुष्य जिसे परमेश्वर पापी न ठहराए। |
| 9 Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? We say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness. | 9 ഈ ഭാഗ്യവർണ്ണനം പരിച്ഛേദനെക്കോ? അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിന്നു കൂടെയോ? അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു വിശ്വാസം നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു എന്നല്ലോ നാം പറയുന്നതു. | 9 तो यह धन्य कहना, क्या खतनावालोंही के लिथे है, या खतनारिहतोंके लिथे भी हम यह कहते हैं, कि इब्राहीम के लिथे उसका विश्वास धामिर्कता गिना गया। |
| 10 How then was it counted to him? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised. | 10 എങ്ങനെ കണക്കിട്ടതു? പരിച്ഛേദനയിലോ? അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിലോ? പരിച്ഛേദനയിലല്ല. അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിലത്രേ. | 10 तो वह क्योंकर गिना गया खतने की दशा में या बिना खतने की दशा में खतने की दशा में नहीं परन्तु बिना खतने की दशा में। |
| 11 He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well, | 11 അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു വിശ്വാസനീതിക്കു മുദ്രയായി പരിച്ഛേദന എന്ന അടയാളം അവന്നു ലഭിച്ചതു അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തോട വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്കും കൂടെ നീതി കണക്കിടപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം താൻ അവർക്കു എല്ലാവർക്കും പിതാവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും | 11 और उस ने खतने का चिन्ह पाया, कि उस विश्वास की धामिर्कता पर छाप हो जाए, जो उस ने बिना खतने की दशा में रखा या: जिस से वह उन सब का पिता ठहरे, जो बिना खतने की दशा में विश्वास करते हैं, और कि वे भी धर्मी ठहरें। |
| 12 and to make him the father of the circumcised who are not merely circumcised but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised. | 12 പരിച്ഛേദന മാത്രമുള്ളവരല്ല നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നു അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നവരുമായ പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർക്കു പിതാവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ. | 12 और उन खतना किए हुओं का पिता हो, जो न केवल खतना किए हुए हैं, परन्तु हमारे पिता इब्राहीम के उस विश्वास की लीक पर भी चलते हैं, जो उस ने बिन खतने की दशा में किया या। |
| 13 For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith. | 13 ലോകാവകാശി ആകും എന്നുള്ള വാഗ്ദത്തം അബ്രാഹാമിന്നോ അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കോ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താലല്ല വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ നീതിയാലല്ലോ ലഭിച്ചതു. | 13 क्योंकि यह प्रतिज्ञा कि वह जगत का वारिस होगा, न इब्राहीम को, न उसके वंश को व्यवस्या के द्वारा दी गई यी, परन्तु विश्वास की धामिर्कता के द्वारा मिली। |
| 14 For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void. | 14 എന്നാൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവർ അവകാശികൾ എങ്കിൽ വിശ്വാസം വ്യർത്ഥവും വാഗ്ദത്തം ദുർബ്ബലവും എന്നു വരും. | 14 क्योंकि यदि व्यवस्यावाले वारिस हैं, तो विश्वास व्यर्य और प्रतिज्ञा निष्फल ठहरी। |
| 15 For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression. | 15 ന്യായപ്രമാണമോ കോപത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാത്തേടത്തു ലംഘനവുമില്ല. | 15 व्यवस्या तो ोध उपजाती है और जहां व्यवस्या नहीं वहां उसका टालना भी नहीं। |
| 16 That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring--not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, | 16 അതുകൊണ്ടു കൃപാദാനം എന്നു വരേണ്ടതിന്നു വിശ്വാസത്താലത്രേ അവകാശികൾ ആകുന്നതു; വാഗ്ദത്തം സകലസന്തതിക്കും, ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവർക്കു മാത്രമല്ല, അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വിശ്വാസമുള്ളവർക്കും കൂടെ ഉറപ്പാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെ. | 16 इसी कारण वह विश्वास के द्वारा मिलती है, कि अनुग्रह की रीति पर हो, कि प्रतिज्ञा सब वंश के लिथे दृढ़ हो, न कि केवल उसक लिथे जो व्यवस्यावाला है, बरन उन के लिथे भी जो इब्राहीम के समान विश्वासवाले हैं: वही तो हम सब का पिता है। |
| 17 as it is written, "I have made you the father of many nations"--in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist. | 17 മരിച്ചവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും ഇല്ലാത്തതിനെ ഉള്ളതിനെപ്പോലെ വിളിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനായി താൻ വിശ്വസിച്ച ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ അവൻ നമുക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും പിതാവാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. “ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാക്കിവെച്ചു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. | 17 जैसा लिखा है, कि मैं ने तुझे बहुत सी जातियोंका पिता ठहराया है उस परमश्ेवर के साम्हने जिस पर उस ने विश्वास किया और जो मरे हुओं को जिलाता है, और जो बातें हैं ही नहीं, उन का नाम ऐसा लेता है, कि मानो वे हैं। |
| 18 In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, "So shall your offspring be." | 18 “നിന്റെ സന്തതി ഇവ്വണ്ണം ആകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ താൻ ബഹുജാതികൾക്കു പിതാവാകും എന്നു അവൻ ആശെക്കു വിരോധമായി ആശയോടെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു. | 18 उस ने निराशा में भी आशा रखकर विश्वास किया, इसलिथे कि उस वचन के अनुसार कि तेरा वंश ऐसा होगा वह बहुत सी जातियोंका पिता हो। |
| 19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. | 19 അവൻ ഏകദേശം നൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവനാകയാൽ തന്റെ ശരീരം നിർജ്ജീവമായിപ്പോയതും സാറയുടെ ഗർഭപാത്രത്തിന്റെ നിർജ്ജീവത്വവും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ചില്ല. | 19 और वह जो एक सौ वर्ष का या, अपके मरे हुए से शरीर और सारा के गर्भ की मरी हुई की सी दशा जानकर भी विश्वास में निर्बल न हुआ। |
| 20 No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, | 20 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിങ്കൽ അവിശ്വാസത്താൽ സംശയിക്കാതെ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ ശക്തിപ്പെട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുത്തു, | 20 और न अविश्वासी होकर परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा पर संदेह किया, पर विश्वास में दृढ़ होकर परमेश्वर की महिमा की। |
| 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. | 21 അവൻ വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതു പ്രവർത്തിപ്പാനും ശക്തൻ എന്നു പൂർണ്ണമായി ഉറെച്ചു. | 21 और निश्चय जाना, कि जिस बात की उस ने प्रतिज्ञा की है, वह उसे पूरी करने को भी सामर्यी है। |
| 22 That is why his faith was "counted to him as righteousness." | 22 അതുകൊണ്ടു അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിട്ടു. | 22 इस कारण, यह उसके लिथे धामिर्कता गिना गया। |
| 23 But the words "it was counted to him" were not written for his sake alone, | 23 അവന്നു കണക്കിട്ടു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അവനെ വിചാരിച്ചു മാത്രം അല്ല, | 23 और यह वचन, कि विश्वास उसके लिथे धामिर्कता गिया गया, न केवल उसी के लिथे लिखा गया। |
| 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, | 24 നമ്മെ വിചാരിച്ചുംകൂടെ ആകുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം മരണത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചും നമ്മുടെ നീതീകരണത്തിന്നായി ഉയിർപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്ന | 24 बरन हमारे लिथे भी जिन के लिथे विश्वास धामिर्कता गिना जाएगा, अर्यात् हमारे लिथे जो उस पर विश्वास करते हैं, जिस ने हमारे प्रभु यीशु को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया। |
| 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification. | 25 നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയർപ്പിച്ചവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നമുക്കും കണക്കിടുവാനുള്ളതാകയാൽ തന്നേ. | 25 वह हमारे अपराधोंके लिथे पकड़वाया गया, और हमारे धर्मी ठहरने के लिथे जिलाया भी गया।। |
