| 1 The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. | 1 ഒരുവൻ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷസ്ഥാനം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നല്ലവേല ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു വിശ്വാസയോഗ്യം ആകുന്നു. | 1 यह बात सत्य है, कि जो अध्यझ होना चाहता है, तो वह भले काम की इच्छा करता है। |

| 4 He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, | 4 ശാന്തനും കലഹിക്കാത്തവനും ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹമില്ലാത്തവനും സ്വന്തകുടുംബത്തെ നന്നായി ഭരിക്കുന്നവനും മക്കളെ പൂർണ്ണഗൌരവത്തോടെ അനുസരണത്തിൽ പാലിക്കുന്നവനും ആയിരിക്കേണം. | 4 अपके घर का अच्छा प्रबन्ध करता हो, और लड़के-बालोंको सारी गम्भीरता से आधीन रखता हो। |
| 5 for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? | 5 സ്വന്തകുടുംബത്തെ ഭരിപ്പാൻ അറിയാത്തവൻ ദൈവസഭയെ എങ്ങനെ പരിപാലിക്കും? | 5 (जब कोई अपके घर ही का प्रबन्ध करना न जानता हो, तो परमेश्वर की कलीसिया की रखवाली क्योंकर करेगा)। |
| 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. | 6 നിഗളിച്ചിട്ടു പിശാചിന്നു വന്ന ശിക്ഷാവിധിയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ പുതിയ ശിഷ്യനും അരുതു. | 6 फिर यह कि नया चेला न हो, ऐसा न हो, कि अभिमान करके शैतान का सा दण्ड पाए। |
| 7 Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil. | 7 നിന്ദയിലും പിശാചിന്റെ കണിയിലും കുടുങ്ങാതിരിപ്പാൻ പുറമെയുള്ളവരോടു നല്ല സാക്ഷ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചവനും ആയിരിക്കേണം. | 7 और बाहरवालोंमें भी उसका सुनाम हो ऐसा न हो कि निन्दित होकर शैतान के फंदे में फंस जाए। |
| 8 Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. | 8 അവ്വണ്ണം ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാർ ഘനശാലികളായിരിക്കേണം; ഇരുവാക്കുകാരും മദ്യപന്മാരും ദുർല്ലാഭമോഹികളും അരുതു. | 8 वैसे ही सेवकोंको भी गम्भीर होना चाहिए, दो रंगी, पिय?ड़, और नीच कमाई के लोभी न हों। |
| 9 They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. | 9 അവർ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മം ശുദ്ധമനസ്സാക്ഷിയിൽ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നവർ ആയിരിക്കേണം. | 9 पर विश्वास के भेद को शुद्ध विवेक से सुरिझत रखें। |
| 10 And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. | 10 അവരെ ആദ്യം പരീക്ഷിക്കേണം; അനിന്ദ്യരായി കണ്ടാൽ അവർ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഏൽക്കട്ടെ. | 10 और थे भी पहिले परखे जाएं, तब यदि निर्दोष निकलें, तो सेवक का काम करें। |
| 11 Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. | 11 അവ്വണം സ്ത്രീകളും ഘനശാലികളായി ഏഷണി പറയാതെ നിർമ്മദമാരും എല്ലാറ്റിലും വിശ്വസ്തമാരുമായിരിക്കേണം. | 11 इसी प्रकार से स्त्रियोंको भी गम्भीर होना चाहिए; दोष लगानेवाली न हों, पर सचेत और सब बातोंमें विश्वासयोग्य हों। |
| 12 Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. | 12 ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാർ ഏകഭാര്യയുള്ള ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരും മക്കളെയും സ്വന്തകുടുംബങ്ങളെയും നന്നായി ഭരിക്കുന്നവരും ആയിരിക്കേണം. | 12 सेवक एक ही पत्नी के पति होंऔर लड़केबालोंऔर अपके घरोंका अच्छा प्रबन्ध करना जानते हों। |
| 13 For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. | 13 നന്നായി ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു നല്ല നിലയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ വളരെ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യവും സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു. | 13 क्योंकि जो सेवक का काम अच्छी तरह से कर सकते हैं, वे अपके लिथे अच्छा पद और उस विश्वास में, जो मसीह यीशु पर है, बड़ा हियाव प्राप्त करते हैं।। |
| 14 I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, | 14 ഞാൻ വേഗത്തിൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരും എന്നു ആശിക്കുന്നു; | 14 मैं तेरे पास जल्द आने की आशा रखने पर भी थे बातें तुझे इसलिथे लिखता हूं। |
| 15 if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of truth. | 15 താമസിച്ചുപോയാലോ സത്യത്തിന്റെ തൂണും അടിസ്ഥാനവുമായി ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഭയാകുന്ന ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ നടക്കേണ്ടതു എങ്ങനെയെന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു എഴുതുന്നു. | 15 कि यदि मेरे आने में देर हो तो तू जान ले, कि परमेश्वर का घर, जो जीवते परमेश्वर की कलीसिया है, और जो सत्य का खंभा, और नेव है; उस में कैसा बर्ताव करना चाहिए। |
