| 1 After the death of Joshua, the people of Israel inquired of the LORD, "Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?" | 1 യോശുവയുടെ മരണശേഷം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ: ഞങ്ങളിൽ ആരാകുന്നു കനാന്യരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്‍വാൻ ആദ്യം പുറപ്പെടേണ്ടതു എന്നു യഹോവയോടു ചോദിച്ചു. | 1 यहोशू के मरने के बाद इस्राएलियोंने यहोवा से पूछा, कि कनानियोंके विरूद्ध लड़ने को हमारी ओर से पहिले कौन चढ़ाई करेगा? |
| 2 The LORD said, "Judah shall go up; behold, I have given the land into his hand." | 2 യെഹൂദാ പുറപ്പെടട്ടെ; ഞാൻ ദേശം അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചു. | 2 यहोवा ने उत्तर दिया, यहूदा चढ़ाई करेगा; सुनो, मैं ने इस देश को उसके हाथ में दे दिया है। |
| 3 And Judah said to Simeon his brother, "Come up with me into the territory allotted to me, that we may fight against the Canaanites. And I likewise will go with you into the territory allotted to you." | 7 And Adoni-bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and their big toes cut off used to pick up scraps under my table. As I have done, so God has repaid me." | 13 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, captured it. | 14 When she came to him, she urged him to ask her father for a field. | 18 Judah also captured Gaza with its territory, and Ashkelon with its territory, and Ekron with its territory. | 18 യെഹൂദാ ഗസ്സയും അതിന്റെ അതിർനാടും അസ്കലോനും അതിന്റെ അതിർനാടും എക്രോനും അതിന്റെ അതിർനാടും പിടിച്ചു. | 18 और यहूदा ने चारोंओर की भूमि समेत अज्जा, अशकलोन, और एक्रोन को ले लिया। |

| 20 And Hebron was given to Caleb, as Moses had said. | 22 The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and the LORD was with them. | 22 യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹം ബേഥേലിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെന്നു; യഹോവ അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. | 22 फिर यूसुफ के घराने ने बेतेल पर चढ़ाई की; और यहोवा उनके संग या। |
