| 1 Now the angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, "I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I swore to give to your fathers. | 2 and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.' But you have not obeyed my voice. | 4 As soon as the angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the people of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept. | 4 യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ ഈ വചനം എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടും പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ജനം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞു. | 4 जब यहोवा के दूत ने सारे इस्राएलियोंसे थे बातें कहीं, तब वे लोग चिल्ला चिल्लाकर रोने लगे। |
| 5 And they called the name of that place Bochim. And they sacrificed there to the LORD. | 5 അവർ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ബോഖീം (കരയുന്നവർ) എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; അവിടെ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിച്ചു. | 5 और उन्होंने उस स्यान का नाम बोकीम रखा। और वहां उन्होंने यहोवा के लिथे बलि चढ़ाया।। |
| 6 When Joshua dismissed the people, the people of Israel went each to his inheritance to take possession of the land. | 6 എന്നാൽ യോശുവ ജനത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു പോയി. | 6 जब यहोशू ने लोगोंको विदा किया या, तब इस्राएली देश को अपके अधिक्कारने में कर लेने के लिथे अपके अपके निज भाग पर गए। |
| 7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great work that the LORD had done for Israel. | 7 യോശുവയുടെ കാലത്തൊക്കെയും യോശുവ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഏറിയനാൾ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നവരായി യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത മഹാപ്രവൃത്തികളൊക്കെയും കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളവരായ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തൊക്കെയും ജനം യഹോവയെ സേവിച്ചു. | 7 और यहोशू के जीवन भर, और उन वृद्ध लोगोंके जीवन भर जो यहोशू के मरने के बाद जीवित रहे और देख चुके थे कि यहोवा ने इस्राएल के लिथे कैसे कैसे बड़े काम किए हैं, इस्राएली लोग यहोवा की सेवा करते रहे। |
| 8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died at the age of 110 years. | 8 എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായി നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവ നൂറ്റിപ്പത്തു വയസ്സുള്ളവനായി മരിച്ചു. | 8 निदान यहोवा का दास नून का पुत्र यहोशू एक सौ दस वर्ष का होकर मर गया। |
| 9 And they buried him within the boundaries of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of the mountain of Gaash. | 9 അവനെ എഫ്രയീംപർവ്വതത്തിലെ തിമ്നാത്ത്--ഹേരെസിൽ ഗായശ് മലയുടെ വടക്കുവശത്തു അവന്റെ അവകാശഭൂമിയിൽ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. | 9 और उसको तिम्नथेरेस में जो एप्रैम के पहाड़ी देश में गाश नाम पहाड़ की उत्तर अलंग पर है, उसी के भाग में मिट्टी दी गई। |
| 10 And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. | 11 And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals. | 11 എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു ബാൽവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു, | 11 इसलिथे इस्राएली वह करने लगे जो यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा है, और बाल नाम देवताओं की उपासना करने लगे; |
| 12 And they abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed down to them. | 14 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he gave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. | 15 Whenever they marched out, the hand of the LORD was against them for harm, as the LORD had warned, and as the LORD had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress. | 15 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെയും യഹോവ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെയും യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അവർ ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും അനർത്ഥം വരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്കു വിരോധമായിരുന്നു; അവർക്കു മഹാകഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടാകയും ചെയ്തു. | 15 जहां कहीं वे बाहर जाते वहां यहोवा का हाथ उनकी बुराई में लगा रहता या, जैसे यहोवा ने उन से कहा या, वरन यहोवा ने शपय खाई यी; इस प्रकार से बड़े संकट में पड़ गए। |
| 16 Then the LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them. | 16 എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അവർ കവർച്ചക്കാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു. | 16 तौभी यहोवा उनके लिथे न्यायी ठहराता या जो उन्हें लूटनेवाले के हाथ से छुड़ाते थे। |
| 17 Yet they did not listen to their judges, for they whored after other gods and bowed down to them. | 18 Whenever the LORD raised up judges for them, the LORD was with the judge, and he saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge. | 19 But whenever the judge died, they turned back and were more corrupt than their fathers, going after other gods, serving them and bowing down to them. | 20 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he said, "Because this people have transgressed my covenant that I commanded their fathers and have not obeyed my voice, | 20 അങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ കോപം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു: ഈ ജാതി അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കായ്കയാൽ | 20 इसलिथे यहोवा का कोप इस्राएल पर भड़क उठा; और उस ने कहा, इस जाति ने उस वाचा को जो मैं ने उनके पूर्वजोंसे बान्धी यी तोड़ दिया, और मेरी बात नहीं मानी, |

| 23 So the LORD left those nations, not driving them out quickly, and he did not give them into the hand of Joshua. | 23 അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ആ ജാതികളെ വേഗത്തിൽ നീക്കിക്കളയാതെയും യോശുവയുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കാതെയും വെച്ചിരുന്നു. | 23 इसलिथे यहोवा ने उन जातियोंको एकाएक न निकाला, वरन रहने दिया, और उस ने उन्हें यहोशू के हाथ में भी उनको न सौंपा या।। |
