| 1 "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, | 1 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടപ്പിൻ; അതിനോടു കൂട്ടരുതു; അതിൽനിന്നു കുറെക്കയും അരുതു. | 1 यदि तेरे बीच कोई भविष्यद्वक्ता वा स्वप्न देखनेवाला प्रगट होकर तुझे कोई चिन्ह वा चमत्कार दिखाए, |
| 2 and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, 'Let us go after other gods,' which you have not known, 'and let us serve them,' | 2 നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനോ സ്വപ്നക്കാരനോ എഴുന്നേറ്റു: | 2 और जिस चिन्ह वा चमत्कार को प्रमाण ठहराकर वह तुझ से कहे, कि आओ हम पराए देवताओं के अनुयायी होकर, जिनसे तुम अब तक अनजान रहे, उनकी पूजा करें, |
| 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. | 3 നീ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നാം ചെന്നു സേവിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു അടയാളമോ അത്ഭുതമോ മുന്നറിയിക്കയും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞ അടയാളമോ അത്ഭുതമോ സംഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ | 3 तब तुम उस भविष्यद्वक्ता वा स्वप्न देखने वाले के वचन पर कभी कान न धरना; क्योंकि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुम्हारी पक्कीझा लेगा, जिस से यह जान ले, कि थे मुझ से अपके सारे मन और सारे प्राण के साय प्रेम रखते हैं वा नहीं? |
| 4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. | 4 ആ പ്രവാചകന്റെയോ സ്വപ്നക്കാരന്റെയോ വാക്കു നീ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ നിങ്ങൾ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കയാകുന്നു. | 4 तुम अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा के पीछे चलना, और उसका भय मानना, और उसकी आज्ञाओं पर चलना, और उसका वचन मानना, और उसकी सेवा करना, और उसी से लिपके रहना। |
| 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. | 5 നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചു ഭയപ്പെടുകയും അവന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയും അവനെ സേവിച്ചു അവനോടു ചേർന്നിരിക്കയും വേണം. | 5 और ऐसा भविष्यद्वक्ता वा स्वप्न देखनेवाला जो तुम को तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा से फेरके, जिस ने तुम को मिस्र देश से निकाला और दासत्व के घर से छुड़ाया है, तेरे उसी परमेश्वर यहोवा के मार्ग से बहकाने की बात कहनेवाला ठहरेगा, इस कारण वह मार डाला जाए। इस रीति से तू अपके बीच में से ऐसी बुराई को दूर कर देना।। |
| 6 "If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or the wife you embrace or your friend who is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which neither you nor your fathers have known, | 6 ആ പ്രവാചകനോ സ്വപ്നക്കാരനോ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നവനും അടിമവീട്ടിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുത്തവനുമായ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വിരോധമായി ദ്രോഹം സംസാരിച്ചു, നീ നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച വഴിയിൽനിന്നു നിന്നെ തെറ്റിപ്പാൻ നോക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കൊല്ലേണം; അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം. | 6 यदि तेरा सगा भाई, वा बेटा, वा बेटी, वा तेरी अर्द्धांगिन, वा प्राण प्रिय तेरा कोई मित्र निराले में तुझ को यह कहकर फुसलाने लगे, कि आओ हम दूसरे देवताओं की उपासना वा पूजा करें, जिन्हें न तो तू न तेरे पुरखा जानते थे, |
| 7 some of the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, | 7 നിങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റും ദേശത്തിന്റെ ഒരു അറ്റംമുതൽ മറ്റെഅറ്റംവരെ സമീപത്തോ ദൂരത്തോ ഉള്ള ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരിൽവെച്ചു | 7 चाहे वे तुम्हारे निकट रहनेवाले आस पास के लोगोंके, चाहे पृय्वी के एक छोर से लेके दूसरे छोर तक दूर दूर के रहनेवालोंके देवता हों, |
| 8 you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. | 8 നീയോ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നാം ചെന്നു സേവിക്ക എന്നു നിന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകനായ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനോ നിന്റെ മകനോ മകളോ നിന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിലുള്ള ഭാര്യയോ നിന്റെ പ്രാണസ്നേഹിതനോ രഹസ്യമായി പറഞ്ഞു നിന്നെ വശീകരിപ്പാൻ നോക്കിയാൽ | 8 तो तू उसकी न मानना, और न तो उसकी बात सुनना, और न उस पर तरस खाना, और न कोमलता दिखाना, और न उसको छिपा रखना; |
| 9 But you shall kill him. Your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. | 9 അവനോടു യോജിക്കയോ അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു; അവനോടു കനിവു തോന്നുകയോ അവനോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവനെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ അവനെ കൊന്നുകളയേണം. | 9 उसको अवश्य घात करना; उसके घात करने में पहिले तेरा हाथ उठे, पीछे सब लोगोंके हाथ उठे। |
| 10 You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. | 10 അവനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം നിന്റെ കയ്യും പിന്നെ സർവ്വജനത്തിന്റെ കയ്യും അവന്റെ മേൽ ചെല്ലേണം. | 10 उस पर ऐसा पत्यरवाह करना कि वह मर जाए, क्योंकि उस ने तुझ को तेरे उस परमेश्वर यहोवा से, जो तुझ को दासत्व के घर अर्यात् मिस्र देश से निकाल लाया है, बहकाने का यत्न किया है। |
| 11 And all Israel shall hear and fear and never again do any such wickedness as this among you. | 11 അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിന്നെ അകറ്റിക്കളവാൻ അവൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു, അവനെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം. | 11 और सब इस्राएली सुनकर भय खाएंगे, और ऐसा बुरा काम फिर तेरे बीच न करेंगे।। |
| 12 "If you hear in one of your cities, which the LORD your God is giving you to dwell there, | 12 ഇനി നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഈ അരുതാത്ത കാര്യം നടക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യിസ്രായേലെല്ലാം കേട്ടു ഭയപ്പെടേണം. | 12 यदि तेरे किसी नगर के विषय में, जिसे तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे रहने के लिथे देता है, ऐसी बात तेरे सुनने में आए, |
| 13 that certain worthless fellows have gone out among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which you have not known, | 13 നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നാം ചെന്നു സേവിക്കേണമെന്നു പറയുന്ന നീചന്മാർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ വശീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു | 13 कि कितने अधम पुरूषोंने तेरे ही बीच में से निकलकर अपके नगर के निवासिक्कों यह कहकर बहका दिया है, कि आओ हम और देवताओं की जिन से अब तक अनजान रहे उपासना करें, |
| 14 then you shall inquire and make search and ask diligently. And behold, if it be true and certain that such an abomination has been done among you, | 14 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു പാർപ്പാൻ തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടാൽ | 14 तो पूछपाछ करना, और खोजना, और भलीं भांति पता लगाना; और यदि यह बात सच हो, और कुछ भी सन्देह न रहे कि तेरे बीच ऐसा घिनौना काम किया जाता है, |
| 15 you shall surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword, devoting it to destruction, all who are in it and its cattle, with the edge of the sword. | 15 നീ നല്ലവണ്ണം അന്വേഷണവും പരിശോധനയും വിസ്താരവും കഴിക്കേണം; അങ്ങനെയുള്ള മ്ലേച്ഛത നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നടന്നു എന്ന കാര്യം വാസ്തവവും നിശ്ചയവും എങ്കിൽ | 15 तो अवश्य उस नगर के निवासिक्कों तलवार से मान डालना, और पशु आदि उस सब समेत जो उस में हो उसको तलवार से सत्यानाश करना। |
| 16 You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its open square and burn the city and all its spoil with fire, as a whole burnt offering to the LORD your God. It shall be a heap forever. It shall not be built again. | 16 നീ ആ പട്ടണത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ കൊന്നു അതും അതിലുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും അതിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ ശപഥാർപ്പിതമായി സംഹരിക്കേണം. | 16 और उस में की सारी लूट चौक के बीच इकट्ठी करके उस नगर को लूट समेत अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिथे मानो सर्व्वांग होम करके जलाना; और वह सदा के लिथे डीह रहे, वह फिर बसाया न जाए। |
| 17 None of the devoted things shall stick to your hand, that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy and have compassion on you and multiply you, as he swore to your fathers, | 17 അതിലെ കൊള്ളയൊക്കെയും വീഥിയുടെ നടുവിൽ കൂട്ടി ആ പട്ടണവും അതിലെ കൊള്ളയൊക്കെയും അശേഷം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കായി തീയിട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം; അതു എന്നും പാഴ്കുന്നായിരിക്കേണം; അതിനെ പിന്നെ പണികയുമരുതു. | 17 और कोई सत्यानाश की वस्तु तेरे हाथ न लगने पाए; जिस से यहोवा अपके भड़के हुए कोप से शान्त होकर जैसा उस ने तेरे पूर्वजोंसे शपय खाई यी वैसा ही तुझ से दया का व्यवहार करे, और दया करके तुझ को गिनती में बढ़ाए। |
| 18 if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, keeping all his commandments that I am commanding you today, and doing what is right in the sight of the LORD your God. | 18 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു ഹിതമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തിട്ടു | 18 यह तब होगा जब तू अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा की जितनी आज्ञाएं मैं आज तुझे सुनाता हूं उन सभोंको मानेगा, और जो तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा की दृष्टि में ठीक है वही करेगा।। |
| 19 യഹോവ തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു കരുണയും കനിവും കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ശപഥാർപ്പിതമായ യാതൊന്നും നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ പറ്റിയിരിക്കരുതു. |
