| 2 And he judged Israel twenty-three years. Then he died and was buried at Shamir. | 2 അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഇരുപത്തുമൂന്നു സംവത്സരം ന്യായാധിപനായിരുന്ന ശേഷം മരിച്ചു; ശാമീരിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. | 2 वह तेईस वर्ष तक इस्राएल का न्याय करता रहा। तब मर गया, और उसको शामीर में मिट्टी दी गई।। |
| 3 After him arose Jair the Gileadite, who judged Israel twenty-two years. | 3 അവന്റെ ശേഷം ഗിലെയാദ്യനായ യായീർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഇരുപത്തുരണ്ടു സംവത്സരം ന്യായാധിപനായിരുന്നു. | 3 उसके बाद गिलादी याईर उठा, वह बाईस वर्ष तक इस्राएल का न्याय करता रहा। |

| 6 The people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites, and the gods of the Philistines. And they forsook the LORD and did not serve him. | 6 യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ പിന്നെയും യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു ബാൽവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും അസ്തോരെത്ത് പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെയും അരാമ്യദേവന്മാരെയും സീദോന്യദേവന്മാരെയും മോവാബ്യദേവന്മാരെയും അമ്മോന്യദേവന്മാരെയും ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേവന്മാരെയും സേവിച്ചു, യഹോവയെ സേവിക്കാതെ അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. | 6 तब इस्राएलियोंने फिर यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा किया, अर्यात् बाल देवताओं और अश्तोरेत देवियोंऔर आराम, सीदोन, मोआब, अम्मोनियों, और पलिश्तियोंके देवताओं की उपासना करने लगे; और यहोवा को त्याग दिया, और उसकी उपासना न की। |
| 7 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites, | 7 അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ കോപം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു, അവൻ അവരെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിലും അമ്മോന്യരുടെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിച്ചു. | 7 तब यहोवा का क्रोध इस्राएल पर भड़का, और उस ने उन्हें पलिश्तियोंऔर अम्मोनियोंके अधीन कर दिया, |
| 8 and they crushed and oppressed the people of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the people of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead. | 8 അവർ അന്നുമുതൽ പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരത്തോളം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ ഗിലെയാദ് എന്ന അമോർയ്യദേശത്തുള്ള എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെയും തന്നേ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു ഞെരുക്കി. | 8 और उस वर्ष थे इस्राएलियोंको सताते और पीसते रहे। वरन यरदन पार एमोरियोंके देश गिलाद में रहनेवाले सब इस्राएलियोंपर अठारह वर्ष तक अन्धेर करते रहे। |
| 9 And the Ammonites crossed the Jordan to fight also against Judah and against Benjamin and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed. | 9 അമ്മോന്യർ യെഹൂദയോടും ബെന്യാമീനോടും എഫ്രയീംഗൃഹത്തോടും യുദ്ധംചെയ്‍വാൻ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽ വളരെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആയി. | 9 अम्मोनी यहूदा और बिन्यामीन से और एप्रैम के घराने से लड़ने को यरदन पार जाते थे, यहां तक कि इस्राएल बड़े संकट में पड़ गया। |

| 11 And the LORD said to the people of Israel, "Did I not save you from the Egyptians and from the Amorites, from the Ammonites and from the Philistines? | 11 യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: മിസ്രയീമ്യർ, അമോർയ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? | 11 यहोवा ने इस्राएलियोंसे कहा, क्या मैं ने तुम को मिस्रियों, एमोरियों, अम्मोनियों, और पलिश्तियोंके हाथ से न छुड़ाया या? |
| 12 The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, and I saved you out of their hand. | 12 സീദോന്യരും അമാലേക്യരും മാവോന്യരും നിങ്ങളെ ഞെരുക്കി; നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിച്ചു. | 12 फिर जब सीदोनी, और अमालेकी, और माओनी लोगोंने तुम पर अन्धेर किया; और तुम ने मेरी दोहाई दी, तब मैं ने तुम को उनके हाथ से भी न छुड़ाया? |

| 14 Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress." | 14 നിങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള ദേവന്മാരോടു നിലവിളിപ്പിൻ; അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടകാലത്തു നിങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ. | 14 जाओ, अपके माने हुए देवताओं की दोहाई दो; तुम्हारे संकट के समय वे ही तुम्हें छुड़ाएं। |
| 15 And the people of Israel said to the LORD, "We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day." | 15 യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ യഹോവയോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെയൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തുകൊൾക; ഇന്നു മാത്രം ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 15 इस्राएलियोंने यहोवा से कहा, हम ने पाप किया है; इसलिथे जो कुछ तेरी दृष्टि में भला हो वही हम से कर; परन्तु अभी हमें छुड़ा। |
| 16 So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD, and he became impatient over the misery of Israel. | 16 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. യഹോവയെ സേവിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അരിഷ്ടതയിൽ അവന്നു സഹതാപം തോന്നി. | 16 तब वे पराए देवताओं को अपके मध्य में से दूर करके यहोवा की उपासना करने लगे; और वह इस्राएलियोंके कष्ट के कारण खेदित हुआ।। |
| 17 Then the Ammonites were called to arms, and they encamped in Gilead. And the people of Israel came together, and they encamped at Mizpah. | 17 അന്നേരം അമ്മോന്യർ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി ഗിലെയാദിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങി; യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളും ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടി മിസ്പയിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങി. | 17 तब अम्मोनियोंने इकट्ठे होकर गिलाद में अपके डेरे डाले; और इस्राएलियोंने भी इकट्ठे होकर मिस्पा में अपके डेरे डाले। |
| 18 And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said one to another, "Who is the man who will begin to fight against the Ammonites? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead." | 18 ഗിലെയാദിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ജനവും തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ: അമ്മോന്യരോടു യുദ്ധം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ? അവൻ ഗിലെയാദിലെ സകലനിവാസികൾക്കും തലവനാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. | 18 तब गिलाद के हाकिम एक दूसरे से कहने लगे, कौन पुरूष अम्मोनियोंसे संग्राम आरम्भ करेगा? वही गिलाद के सब निवासियोंका प्रधान ठहरेगा।। |
